Sally
That night, I couldn’t shake off the events of the afternoon. I tossed and turned in bed, my mind racing with questions. Why was Colby being so possessive of me on the field? He’d made it clear he didn’t like me, so why was he acting like he owned me?
His words echoed in my head: “Your lips are mine.” What did he mean by that? I needed answers.
I threw off the covers and got out of bed, determination driving me to confront Colby. Why was he making me so confused, and at the edge of driving me insane? I made my way to his room, but his door was locked. That was unusual he never locked his door.
I raised my hand and knocked loudly, not caring if our parents heard the commotion. The door finally creaked open, and I was met with a tired-looking Colby. His eyes were heavy with sleep. Well, I wouldn’t blame him because all the playing and working out in the field probably made him so exhausted.
“What is it?” Colby asked in a husky voice, rubbing his eyes and giving a little yawn.
Instead of replying, I stormed into his room, that determination burning within me.
“What is it, Sally?” he asked again, impatience arising in his husky tone.
I signed my response, my hands moving swiftly. “What happened today in the locker room?” I demanded, my eyes blazing with anger and confusion.
Colby’s eyes widened, and he sat down on the bed, his sleepiness forgotten. “Are you trying to remind me about that?” he asked, his voice low and mischievous. “You will get fucked in your pussy if you really make me remember that. Don’t get me turned on, Sally.”
I swallowed hard, trying to compose myself, wondering why the fuck I was getting turned on by his filthy talks.
Anyway, I signed again, my hands emphatic. “I’m not joking with you. Why would you do that? Why would you say my lips are fucking yours? We’re not together. We’re not even in a relationship.”
Colby stood up, his towering figure making me gulp heavily. I backed away, my eyes fixed on his, as he walked closer. His eyes seemed to bore into mine, and I felt a shiver run down my spine.
As I continued to back away, my eyes locked on Colby’s, I finally felt the door behind me. I was trapped.
Colby’s fingers suddenly wrapped around my chin, his thumb brushing against my lips. I felt a jolt of electricity, but my body remained frozen, my eyes locked on his.
“I saw you and Harry today,” he said, his voice low and husky. “I saw him kiss you.”
My eyes widened, and I signed, “You were there?”
He nodded, his gaze burning into mine. “And I didn’t like the way he touched your lip. The lips are mine, Sally. The next time, he or any other guy kisses them again, I won’t be fucking these lips, but your tight cunt. I promise, I won’t stop even if you beg or cry.”
I slapped his hand away, my signs emphatic. “I’m not yours, Colby. When did I ever belong to you? When did you ask me to be yours? And don’t think of trying anything funny or I will report you to our parents.”
Colby’s eyes crinkled at the side, and then he laughed lowly. “Really? You will tattle to them on what you also enjoyed?”
“You must be crazy,” I signed, getting upset now. “Anyway, don’t ever say those fucking words again.”
“What?” he asked, feigning ignorance.
“You know what I’m talking about!” If hands could scream, mine just did. “I don’t want you saying that I’m yours. I’m not yours, Colby Banks.”
“Why not, Sally?” he asked, his brows arched. “Besides, you want me, don’t you?” he asked.
My eyes blinked rapidly, my mind racing. I didn’t know what to say.
Colby’s voice dropped to a whisper. “Reply to the question, Sally. Do you want me?”
I swallowed hard, my heart pounding in my chest. I bit my bottom lip, unsure of how or maybe what to respond.
“Didn’t you hear me?” he asked, his eyes narrowed, and his voice firm. “I’ll make it easy for you, if you’re uncertain of your feelings, leave my room.”
I just stood there, frozen, my eyes now glaring at him. Colby’s frown deepened, his eyes flashing with frustration. “I said-”
But I cut him off, signing swiftly. “Firstly, you should move your hands from the door. You’re cornering me.”
Colby’s eyes widened, and he took a step back, realizing he had indeed been blocking my way.
I signed again, “Better.”
With a nod, I turned and opened the door, slipping out into the hallway. As I shut the door behind me, I leaned against it, my chest heaving. My heart was racing, and I couldn’t catch my breath.
I took a few deep breaths, trying to calm myself down. Finally, I felt composed enough to enter my room. I flopped onto the bed, covering my eyes with my hands.
Just as I began to relax, my phone beeped, interrupting the silence. I checked the screen to find a message from an unsaved number.
“Hi.”
I replied, “Hello, who is this?”
The response came quickly. “It’s me, Harry. The player you met at the field today. Colby’s friend.”
“Oh, hi! How are you?”
“I’m fine. I actually thought you’d be asleep by now,” he replied.
“I don’t sleep much anyway. Shouldn’t you be sleeping after all that hard work in the field? Plus, you still have practice tomorrow.”
“Are you worried about me, my lady?” he asked.
I laughed softly before replying, “Well, I guess.”
“I think I can sleep now, knowing the beautiful queen is worrying about me.”
I sent a string of laughing emojis, and he replied with a smiley emoji, bidding me goodnight.
“Goodnight,” I replied, setting my phone aside.
“Look at how well he makes you smile, unlike that toxic Colby. Maybe you should really give Harry a chance,” my inner voice whispered.
I sighed deeply and nodded. “Maybe I should,” I thought. “I mean, he’s so sweet and nice.”
