Allison
Jayden’s lips devoured mine, his kiss fierce and all-consuming. I felt his desperation, his need for me. My fingers tangled in his hair, pulling him closer as he lifted me against him. Our bodies melded together, our hearts pounding as one.
He kissed me with a madness that left me breathless. I responded with equal fervor, my lips yielding to his, my body arching into him.
But Jayden was relentless, his kisses suffocating. I finally broke free, gasping for air. Our foreheads rested against each other, our ragged breathing the only sound.
Jayden panted, his breath hot against my face. “Please, don’t leave me,” he begged, his voice hoarse. “Don’t leave me again. I’ll do anything. Just stay with me. I can go on my knees, baby, so don’t stay away from me.”
I smiled, my eyes shining with amusement. Who would have thought this bad boy could beg this much?
“Will you be by my side… forever?” he asked, looking up at me, his huge arms tightening around my waist. “Please, Alli.”
I nodded, and he captured my lip again, nipping gently. My giggles filled the air as he held me close.
Just as things were about to escalate, the door swung open, and I felt myself being pushed backward. I landed on the floor with a thud, my body bouncing off the hard surface. The sudden movement was a jarring interruption, and I sat up, dazed.
Jayden and I exchanged a glance before looking up at the door. Tom stood in the doorway, his eyes wide with surprise as he took in the scene before him. We quickly scrambled to our feet, Jayden dusting himself off before taking my hand.
“Dad, what are you doing here?” Jayden asked, a hint of annoyance in his voice. “You didn’t even knock.”
Tom looked flustered, his eyes darting between us. “I… I’m sorry. You have a visitor. They saw your artwork online and wanted to meet with you.”
Jayden’s expression changed, and he nodded.
“Alright, I’ll be out in a few.”
Tom nodded and quickly retreated, closing the door behind him.
Jayden turned to me and quickly ran to my side. “I’m really sorry. I didn’t hurt you, did I?”
“It’s fine,” I laughed.
He gave me a smile and pecked my eyelids, which sent a thousand butterflies to my stomach.
“Will you stay here while I meet with my client? I’ll come back, and we can-”
I shook my head. “No, I’ll just go home.”
Jayden’s face fell, but he persisted. “No, please don’t say no, Allison. Let me take you home. Just wait for me and-”
I relented, and his face lit up with a bright smile. “Alright, I’ll wait for you. But be quick.”
“I promise,” Jayden nodded, still grinning. “I’ll be quick.”
With that, he turned and ran off, laughing, leaving me to chuckle and shake at his silliness.
As I walked and gazed around Jayden’s office, I couldn’t help but feel a mix of surprise and admiration. The man I once thought was aimless, without a plan for his future, had truly made it big. His office was sleek and modern, a testament to his hard work and dedication, especially in such a short period of time.
My eyes wandered to his desk, where I spotted a familiar face – mine. I picked up the photo, studying it intently. I was sitting in class, listening to the lecturer, completely unaware that Jayden was capturing my image. My expression was concentrated, yet beautiful, and I couldn’t help but smile.
I flipped the photo over, and my heart skipped a beat as I read the words scribbled on the back: “She’s so pretty. I wish she could stare at me just like this.”
My eyes welled up with emotion as I realized the photo was taken back in January when we first met when he came from Spain to do a few things, and that was the night we also had sex. Jayden had been drawn to me even then, and the thought sent shivers down my spine.
Tears pricked at the corners of my eyes as I gazed at the photo. Suddenly, the door swung open, and Jayden walked in, a bright smile on his face. But as he took in my tear-stained expression, his smile faltered.
He rushed to my side, his hands cradling my face. “What happened?” he asked, his voice low and urgent. “Tell me, what’s wrong?” His eyes blazed with a fierce protectiveness, as if he’d take on the world to ensure my happiness.
I held up the photo, my voice barely above a whisper. “When did you take this?”
Jayden’s eyes softened as he took the photo from me. “I remember that day,” he said, a hint of a smile on his lips. “It was the first time I saw you clearly after our parents’ wedding, and I was… captivated. I had to know more about you.”
His eyes locked onto mine.
“You’ve been keeping this for so long?” I asked, my voice filled with wonder.
Jayden nodded. “Yeah, since January. I took it when I visited Boston College to work on my admission. I saw you in class, and… actually, I don’t regret asking you out for a drink that night. Or anything that happened between us.”
That was when memories of the second sex came into my mind, and now, I couldn’t help but feel wet. What was wrong with me?
My heart swelled with emotion as I gazed at Jayden. I reached up, my hands cradling his face. “I love you so much, Jayden,” I whispered, my lips brushing against his.
Jayden’s eyes fluttered closed as he deepened the kiss, our lips moving in perfect harmony.
I broke our gaze, frowning as I looked at Jayden.
He noticed the change in my expression and asked, “Hey, what’s wrong?”
I didn’t respond, instead pouting my lips.
“Talk to me, baby,” he whispered, caressing my face. “Please.”
“Why didn’t you respond with ‘I love you too’?” I finally asked.
“Baby, I don’t need words to know how I feel,” Jayden said, his voice low and husky. “Whatever this feeling is, it’s more than love. It’s like my heart beats for you alone. Every breath I take is because of you. Every thought, every dream, every waking moment is consumed by you.”
His eyes blazed with intensity, his gaze holding mine captive. “I feel like I’m drowning in the depths of my love for you. I’m suffocating under the weight of my emotions. I’m obsessed with the way you make me feel. I’m addicted to your touch, your smile, your laughter. And if this is love, oh fuck baby, I love you so much that people might deem this unhealthy.”
Jayden’s voice dropped to a whisper, his words sending shivers down my spine. “I want to own every moment of your life. I want to be the reason you wake up in the morning. I want to be the last thing on your mind before you fall asleep. I want to be your everything.”
I felt my heart swell, my emotions overflowing. Jayden’s words were like a tidal wave, crashing over me, sweeping me away.
“Did you meet your client?” I asked, my voice barely above a whisper.
Jayden’s smile was small, but triumphant. “Yeah, they bought a few pieces. It was worth it.”
I looked at him, my eyes locking onto his. “I’m really happy for you,” I said, my voice sincere.
A minute of silence passed before I spoke up again. “It’s time I go home.”
Jayden stood, holding out his hand. “I’ll escort you. I’ll take you home.”
I took his hand, and together we walked to my walking stick. With his support, we left the art exhibition, hand in hand.
