Aria
I manage to drag my ass to campus before noon, but damn, my body is wrecked. Yesterday was fucking great…I had the time of my life with Lucas…but holy hell, my bones feel like they got hit by a truck. I’m definitely walking funny, and I know people are staring.
And, honestly? I don’t blame them.
I can still feel Lucas’s thick cock in me, and my poor pussy is still sore from all that brutal teasing and friction.
But would I do it all over again?
Hell fcking yes.
Being restrained and fucked until I’m begging and crying to cum? Yes, please. Sign me up. I love being Lucas’s naughty girl.
Speaking of which…
I mind-linked him earlier, and he says he’ll be here soon. He didn’t sound pissed or anything, so I guess whatever emergency he had wasn’t too bad.
And just as I step into the hallway, Mia’s voice rings out.
“Oh, look who finally decided to grace us with her presence!”
I smirk, making my way over to where she and Lily are sitting before dramatically collapsing onto the seat.
“Hey, guys,” I wave, stretching like I ran a marathon.
Lily doesn’t waste a second. “So what the fuck happened? You ghosted us last night after that guy pulled his little stunt.”
For a second, I blink at her, confused as hell. “What guy?”
Mia rolls her eyes. “Mark, dumbass.”
“Oh, him,” I scoff. “Yeah, it was nothing. Told you guys Lucas was pissed. Told me to stop talking to him.”
Mia takes a sip of her coffee and hums knowingly. “And when you got home, he fucked you senseless to remind you who you belong to.”
I gasp, hand over my chest. “Oh my, how did you know?” I fake innocence.
Lily groans. “You two are so fucked up.”
We burst into laughter.
“But for real, yesterday was amazing,” I sigh dreamily. “Lucas surprised me with flowers, a gorgeous dress, designer shoes…the whole thing. And then he rented a limo and took me out on a romantic-ass dinner.”
“Oh my goddess!” They both squeal in unison.
“We’re so happy for you, babe,” Lily grins.
“And jealous,” Mia mutters, crossing her arms. “I’ve been waiting for Damon to take me out on a fucking date, but nooo…he’s not even thinking about it.”
I snort. “Girl, bring it up. Sometimes these men are so oblivious to what we actually want. You gotta spell it out for them.”
“It must’ve been so nice,” Lily sighs dreamily.
“Oh, it was.” I grin. “We went to The Royal Dinner restaurant.” I pause, leaning in. “And guess what? That restaurant belongs to Lucas.”
Mia’s jaw drops. “No. Fucking. Way.”
“I swear!”
“Actually,” she snorts, “it shouldn’t be a surprise. Lucas is a billionaire heir…well, was. Now he’s just a broke one.” Mia chuckles, and I shoot her a glare.
But my mind drifts back to last night-Lucas was so upset about not being able to spoil me like he wanted to. My sweet baby.
Mia nudges me. “Seriously, though. I’m so happy for you. Must’ve been a blast.”
I sigh dramatically. “It was. And then we went to his private room at the restaurant, and well…” I wiggle my eyebrows.
They squeal again, clapping like I just won an Oscar.
“You guys are so fucking dramatic,” I roll my eyes.
“And you love it,” Mia grins before leaning in, her voice dropping to a whisper. “But, Aria, have you heard the latest gossip about that Mark guy?”
I groan. “No, and I don’t wanna know.”
“Well, everyone’s talking about him,” Lily says. “He’s supposedly from some super wealthy family. Was the most popular guy in his school. Star hockey player. And apparently, he’s gunning for the team captain spot…same as Lucas.”
“And probably gunning for your heart too,” Mia smirks.
I snort. “Yeah, right.”
“Come on, Aria,” she drags out my name like she’s personally offended by my denial. “You really think all those flowers were just friendly? The guy wants more. Lucas sees it. That’s why he stepped up and took you on a date.”
I groan, rolling my eyes so hard because Mia is talking nonsense. “That’s not it. I was the one who asked Lucas for a date. Not because of Mark.”
Mia just raises a brow like she’s waiting for me to admit my crimes.
“Ugh, time for class,” Lily whines suddenly, side-eyeing the other students filing in. “Where’s Lucas, anyway?”
“Said he had something to take care of. He should be here soon.”
I head inside with them, but by the time class ends, Lucas still hasn’t shown up.
And he’s not answering my mind-link.
What the fuck is keeping him?
Mia and Lily leave for another class I’m not taking, so now I’m stuck being bored as hell by myself.
Fuck this. I need air.
I make my way to the balcony, resting my elbows on the railing. The air is crisp but not too cold. It feels nice. Peaceful.
Until a voice interrupts it.
“Aria, what are you doing here all alone?”
I turn, and of course, it’s Mark.
I fight the urge to roll my eyes. Again.
“Woah.” He grins, raising his hands in surrender. “What’s with the look? Did I do something wrong?”
I take in his very intentional bad-boy aesthetic…leather jacket, cocky smirk, messy-but-sexy hair. Not gonna lie, he’s hot. But not Lucas hot.
“What do you want, Mark?” I deadpan.
He exhales, rubbing the back of his neck. “I just… wanted to apologize. I realize now that, in my very charming attempt to be your friend, I might have, uh… weirded you out.”
“Might have?”
He chuckles. “Okay, fine. It was weird. Stupid. Maybe a little foolish.”
I snort. “A little?”
We both laugh, and I hate that he’s actually kind of funny.
“I really am sorry,” he says, leaning against the railing beside me. “Didn’t know you had a boyfriend. Wouldn’t have pulled that stunt if I did.”
I tilt my head, studying him. “You said you already knew me. How?”
He smirks. “Oh, come on, Aria. You and your little clique? You guys are practically campus royalty. You, Lucas, Mia, the rest…”
I arch a brow. “And you somehow didn’t know Lucas and I were dating?”
Mark laughs at that. “I swear I didn’t. You gotta believe me.”
I shake my head, amused despite myself. But at the back of my mind, I know if Lucas walked in right now and saw me talking to Mark, shit would explode.
Still, there’s something about this guy. Something… intriguing.
Mark suddenly checks his watch. “Damn, already past noon? Time flies when you’re flirting.”
I blink. “Talking.”
He smirks. “Didn’t I say talking? Anyways, I’ll see you later.”
My face heats, and he knows it. His gaze lingers…cocky, knowing, just enough heat to make my stomach flip.
“Yeah… I don’t think this is a good idea,” I shake my head.
“Why?” He grins. “Because of your mate?”
My eyes widen. “What did you just say?”
Did he just say mate?
This guy… was he a werewolf?
Mark smirks, his gaze lingering on me. “I have a feeling we’ll be seeing each other a lot more often. And honestly? I’m looking forward to it.”
My stomach twists. “Wait… are you… are you a werewolf?”
He doesn’t answer. Just gives me this infuriating little smile before turning and walking away, leaving me standing there, completely speechless.
Yeah. Something about this feels really fucking off.
