Ethan P. O. V
The woman just smiled and shook her head at what I said.
“Why would you think that, Alpha Ethan?” she replied. “I don’t see it that way nor the people living with me. We’re all about peace, even after losing everything we once had.”
“But you’ve taken so many of my people!” I yelled at her.
“Is that so? Then why not consider it self-defence?” she countered.
“Those of you who attacked first, why act like you’re the ones being wronged now?”
The middle-aged woman smiled at me instead of responding. She acted like she hadn’t said anything and completely ignored the points clashed with her idealistic views.
“I really don’t like having to lie to people. I could argue with you, but I’m not interested, Alpha Ethan. I’d much rather you come back with all the elders from your Pack so we can have a proper discussion instead of this back-and-forth,” she said.
He said many things that made me uneasy, making me seem like the bad guy here. But honestly, I never intended to do anything wrong to those Rogue Wolves.
“Hey, how’s Octa doing these days? I hope that old lady is still lively and chatty.” That lady asked me something pretty odd.
While I was still trying to wrap my head around her words, which seemed to hint she knew Octa, a female Elder in my Pack, the woman whose name I didn’t catch just left me standing there in the middle of the forest, with the soothing sound of the river nearby.
She walked off toward the camp, crossing a gently flowing river. Her long skirt was a little wet, but she didn’t seem to care as she headed to what I guessed was her home. Before long, Chen Lien returned, moving lightly on her own.
“I’m not sure, but I think she’s okay.”
“Are you positive?”
“She mentioned she could smell your scent, and I figured you two could use a mind link to chat since I didn’t see any barrier vaults around, and neither did the Warriors.”
I was surprised to hear Chen Lien say that. He’s definitely someone I can rely on, especially with my Warriors not around.
“That’s cool. Let’s head home,” I told him.
“Are you really sure that’s it?”
“Absolutely, checking on her well-being was my main reason for coming here. So, I don’t have anything else to stick around for.” I got up and started to walk away.
“Come on, don’t you want to rescue her from this place? Just take her and bring her back to the mansion with us.”
“Did you manage to do that when you saw her?”
Chen Lien went quiet. He seemed at a loss for words. After a moment, he shook his head and said, “There weren’t any Warriors, but I couldn’t get Claire out.”
“Well, if that’s the case, you might as well leave her here,” I decided.
That lady’s wish is clear, so she will get what she wants. I’ll be back here with Octa and some elders I can talk to.
Following our path to get here, I finally made it to the mansion with Chen Lien, and everyone was in a panic looking for me. They wrapped me in a blanket and brought me inside, treating me like a kid who just returned from a long day of playing. Lucy was the same way.
As soon as she heard I was back, Lucy dashed over and hugged me tightly, her face full of concern.
“Oh my gosh, Ethan, we were seriously freaking out looking for you!” she said after the hug, checking to make sure I was okay.
“I’m good, but why do you look so stressed? I said, just go back to your spots; there’s nothing to worry about. But when Lucy heard me, she frowned and pushed back.
“Why would you say that?” Lucy shot back, clearly upset. “We’re all in a panic trying to find you! You vanished after the attack, and no one knows where you went. And now you act like everything’s fine?!” She kept throwing those annoying comments my way.
I noticed everyone gathered because I had been missing a few hours. But none of the Elders were around, so I quickly told everyone to scatter.
“Ethan!”
“Let’s go to our room”. I really wanted to wrap my arms around Lucy. Even though she was still digging for answers, I gently encouraged her to follow me.
“If you need me, just check the study,” Chen Lien said, waving goodbye.
I just nodded slightly, not saying much, and led Lucy away. Once we got to the room, I tossed aside the blanket draped over me. Still looking a bit frantic, Lucy immediately hugged me tight and started sharing her worries without holding back.
I wasn’t keen on it, but I listened to her ramble. Then, out of nowhere, Lucy pushed me onto the bed and started taking off my clothes, claiming they smelled like the forest.
Lucy’s tapering fingers touched my chest, her long nails felt tickling, making me a little horny, but it still couldn’t make me hard. Her fingers touched my chest, gently flicking my tits, while her long hair tickled my face, making me turn away several times in discomfort.
Oh, come on … I just got back from the middle of the forest, exhausted, and now, I have to get a surprise that’s just as exhausting as this? A wild and uncontrolled sex?
In addition, Lucy also looks very passionate. I don’t know what has made her so horny. Still, seeing her excited like this, it’s impossible to get rejection from anyone, including me.
Just when she was about to kiss me, I stopped her. I held her shoulder, smiling knot, I said,
“You know, Lucy, the oldest and strongest emotion humans possess is fear,” I told her. But even Lucy, who didn’t understand, could only shake her head.
“What are you talking about? Were you scared when you walked into that forest full of Rogue Wolves?” Lucy is curious.
I shook my head. Smile, then answer. “Nothing.”
