My entire world flip on its axis as Alphonso stared at me with shock, which made me realize he overheard everything the doctor said. His green eyes bore into mine, my heart starts beating out of my chest.
This is really Alphonso and I was not dreaming. I grit my teeth, and my jaw flexed with the pressure I was giving it.
“I am sorry, I didn’t mean to barge in. I came to drop the files.” Alphonso said, looking away from me. I felt embarrassed and sick to my stomach.
“Do you know him?” The doctor asked me.
“Alphonso is my nephew.” He added, turning to face Alphonso.
“Just drop the files and leave Alphonso,” The doctor ordered. I just stood and watched him leave.
“As I was saying, I am not imposing. It is not obligatory for you to have sex with your partner. I am only trying to say it is adviceable.”
“I tell every pregnant women this,”
“I don’t need sex,” I said, exiting the doctor’s office without waiting for his next statement. I badly wanted to catch up with Alphonso.
He was outside the doctor’s office waiting for me patiently. He had his back against the wall with his folded on his chest.
“I will wait for you in the car.” Vanessa said behind me.
“No, I don’t want to keep you waiting. I will catch a bus home.” I replied, I don’t know how long it would take for me to try to convince Alphonso not to tell anyone about my pregnancy.
Merely looking at him, it was obvious a lot of questions were running through his mind.
“We need to talk,” I said to Alphonso immediately Vanessa left.
“You have a fu*king bun in the oven. That’s actually unbelievable. Have you never heard of safe sex before?” He scolded, he looked kind of angry.
“Who is the father?” He asked, but I couldn’t give him a response.
I let him lead me down the hallway of the hospital.
“I guess you don’t want to talk then. Are you going to keep the baby or give it up for adoption?”
I have never thought about giving the child out for adoption, but maybe I should consider it. I allowed my gaze to roam over Alphonso’s body, this was the first time I was seeing him so close without his uniform. I didn’t get to really see his features at the last party. His body was toned and muscled, I don’t know why he was looking so different today. He looks taller and bigger. I can’t believe my mouth was watering at his closeness. Stupid pregnancy hormones.
We went through a corner and he pushed the first door we saw open, luckily the room was empty.
“Are you really pregnant? What were you even thinking before you opened your legs for an idiot who didn’t think about you but only his own sexual need. Damn! I can’t believe we still have boys out there who still think with their dick instead of their brains.” He shouted, his words felt like a needle pricking my skin.
“Where is the guy who got you pregnant?” He barks, exhaling a ragged breath as his eyes darkened. He looked so angry.
“I don’t know.” I whispered.
“Really, can you hear yourself. You don’t know, so you are the only one carrying the burden. Why? did you not tell him about the pregnancy?”
“He knows,” I replied calmly.
“When I get married, my daughters will be grounded till they are twenty.” He gritted, that made me chuckle.
“Stop laughing, because it’s not funny. Who else knows about your pregnancy in school?” He asked.
“No one, except my half siblings. Justin and Juliet.”
“Then one of them should be O D Eleven.” Alphonso said, hissing loudly.
“O D Eleven. I don’t think so. O D Eleven’s story is not the same as mine. It is just a coincidence.” I said trying to reassure myself and not him.
“You are so naive and gullible Mary. You get easily deceived, you have to be sharp minded or else people will keep taking you for granted and stepping over you.”
“Whoever O D Eleven is, I am certain he or she knows about your pregnancy and probably more about you. Finding out you are pregnant today made me realize you are the main lead in the story. I don’t understand how you haven’t even thought of it.”
“But you have to be alert, we have to find out who O D Eleven is before he or she reveals you are pregnant. You can consider letting everyone know about the pregnancy to save you of the embarrassment and stigma that might come with it.”
“No, not yet. I am not ready for that.” I said nervously.
“Think carefully, who else in school knows about your pregnancy?” Alphonso asked.
“The Principal, it can’t be the Principal. My half siblings are aware also.”
“Is Justin capable, have you noticed anything strange about him lately?”
“No, that is not possible. It can’t be Justin. I am so sure of it, Justin won’t do something like that. Juliet hates me, but I don’t think she will go to that extent to ruin me.” I replied.
“I am just trying to help out here Mary. I promise I won’t tell anyone about your pregnancy. You can trust me.”
I could only stare at him, because I was not really sure if I can trust Alphonso. What if he is O D Eleven, I shook of the thoughts. He just found out I was pregnant, he can’t be the one.
“You have my words already, I know it is hard for you to trust me because I tried getting into your pants. But I will make it up to you, you don’t have to trust me again.”
“In fact, you should trust no one Mary, not even me.”
I nodded my head as I pressed my hand to my chest, trying not to think of who got me into this situation in the first place. I pulled out my phone from my pocket to check the time.
“Shit!” I cuss, I have to get home as soon as possible if I want to carry on with my plan tonight.
“I will text you and we can make plans to solve this mystery.” Alphonso said.

After asking Justin if he took a box in my room, the response I got from him made me realize no one else in this house would have taken the box. The box got missing the day he appeared.
Hawk Andrews can only be the one who took the box, no one else could.
I paused in front of the door to his room and pressed my ear close to the door. I couldn’t hear a sound from the room, I badly wanted to open the door and search through his things. I just need a confirmation. I need something tangible to point him out as Hawk Andrews.
I wanted to wait till tonight before I go into his room. I already took note of the time he goes out to swim every day and I was hoping to make use of that period today. Once it’s nine pm, Hawk Andrews goes into the pool to swim. And he does this every night. I sighed heavily as I caressed the door handle, suddenly the door gave way, and opened itself.
I immediately peeped in without caring if someone was watching me. I just needed one single thing to point Edward Jones as the same person as Hawk Andrews.
I felt relieved to see the room was empty. I chided myself mentally before stepping in. I closed the door gently, but not fully closed. I left it opened a bit.
His room was neat and it has posters of art works on the walls. It came to me as a shock, because I know Hawk Andrews doesn’t draw or even paint. I walked towards his drawers and began to look through it. I didn’t find anything incriminating, I looked around the room, trying to be as quiet as possible. I found a guitar and a music book, with a lot of composed songs written to someone with the initials of M.
I never pictured Hawk Andrews as a songwriter or a poet. It totally looks as if I was looking through someone else’s room and not Hawk Andrews.
I was getting tired of searching his room, because I really don’t know what exactly I was looking for. There was no sign of the box at all. I raked my hands through my hair as I considered giving up and leaving the room.
I already looked through his closet, I felt like screaming but I just had to resist it. I knew I had to leave the room to avoid getting caught. But I just could not give up now. Suddenly I saw the edge of a book or something that looks like a book under the bed.
I immediately squatted down and pulled it out. It was a huge book that had the inscription ‘Year book for Crowns middle school.’
I became alert, this was definitely something that would be useful to me. I flipped through the pages in haste, trying to look for the A section. Andrews, that was exactly what I was looking for. I couldn’t find Hawk Andrews, but Xander J Andrews was written boldly on a half page, with the picture of a toothless baby Xander.
I raised an eyebrow up in confusion. Is Xander related to Hawk Andrews. I decided to look for Edward Jones and there he was on a half page with nerdy glasses on his face. I sank my teeth into my lips as I read his details. It was all a mistaken identity, Edward Jones was not the same person as Hawk Andrews.
Hawk Andrews was still out there. And he has a doppelganger, this is really a rare case.
Suddenly the door opened widely and Edward Jones stepped inside the room.
“What are you doing in my room?”
