67. Plan

Kevin’s POV
“Don’t tell me that was your plan?” Liam asked the moment we walked back into our apartment.
“No,” I smiled. “Violence has always been my way.”
A slow smile crept up his face. “That is exactly what I’ve been waiting for. Spending money in a town that treated Ella as a slave is not my thing.”
“Now, we get to keep our money.”
“How do you intend to steal Ella away from the manor of that asshole?”
“I need the men.”
“I will get them tomorrow.”
“Be back soon.”
“Yes, my lord.” He bowed and left me alone to my thoughts and anticipating when the men would be here with Liam.
Liam’s POV
My body thrummed with excitement as I ran towards the border, adrenaline pumping with fury through my body.
I scowled as I waited for the guard at the border to scan my visitor ID card so I can depart. I was annoyed when Kevin offered to pay that much to get Ella but looking at the rigorous process of entering and leaving this place, I could finally understand his reason.
He didn’t want her to live as a fugitive, running to avoid being captured and unable to hold her head high as she leaves the place she had been maltreated.
She wouldn’t be able to overcome her fear of this place. I was glad though that Kevin was finally going to get her back and do something about that rude count.
It had seemed like we were sucking up to him and that greatly annoyed me.
“You can go.” The guard said and waved me off.
I didn’t bother to say thank you to him and sprinted off into the woods near the road. There, I shifted and ran till I found my way to where the men were camped, waiting for orders from the alpha.
Kevin had had them stay behind while the two of us went in to scout if Ella was in the utopia town. It wouldn’t make sense to all surge in and call attention to ourselves when we had no idea if who we were looking for would be there.
Now, it wouldn’t make sense to stay outside when we had found who we were looking for and she needed our help.
I got to the wide plains they had set as camp and as expected, there was no sign of life. I put my finger into my mouth, hollowed it and blew softly into it.
Slowly, they began to come out in twos from where they had hidden themselves.
“I thought you weren’t ever coming again.”
“You said you were coming soon.”
“What happened? Why did you come late?”
“Did you find the Luna?”
“Where is the alpha?”
“Why do you look sad?”
“Is there something wrong?”
“Why aren’t you answering?”
I laughed, pleased to see them as well. “How could I answer when you all were talking at the same time? I’m happy to see you too.”
“What happened?”
“The alpha wants you all in town.”
“Yes.” Augustine cheered. “Finally, I’ve been bored out of my wits here.”
“Me too.” Cephas groaned. “Are the leaders fine though?”
“The Luna is in utopia town as we all suspected. She was sold into slavery and being treated as one.” I said and waited for the men to calm down as loud growls went around the field at my announcement.
“Who is the bastard that did it?” Cephas growled.
“A Rogue kidnapped her on her way home and sold her as a slave to the utopia town. It was Kenneth, the Rogue leader.”
“I want to kill that bastard.” Mika hissed.
Augustine chuckled. “Do you want to kill him as the alpha wants to? His mate is being treated as a slave by another man. Is he fine though?” He asked, looking at me.
I smirked, staring back at him. “What do you expect? His mate is being treated as a slave by another man.”
“Both of them are not fine then. Why did you come here so late then?” Cephas sighed. “It’s been almost a week.”
“The alpha was trying an idea but it didn’t work out.
“An idea? We should have fought and gotten the Luna rescued without her having to live one more second as a slave.”
I smiled. This was why I loved Cephas. We definitely used to think alike.
“I will tell you on the way.” I told him.
“Pack up, guys.” Cephas shouted as he turned to the guys. “We are leaving.”
The place filled with a bustle as the man prepared for leaving. Cephas moved closer to me. “Do you have our ID cards ready? I heard it’s not that simple to get in and out of the town.”
I tapped the pockets of my trousers. “I have the money to get you all the cards you need.” I had more than enough to buy cards for twenty men and there were ten men here that had to go with me.
“If you have enough money, why didn’t you just buy the Luna’s freedom?” Cephas asked.
I sighed. I knew he wouldn’t wait like the others for the news. He was a curious being. I shook my head. We were too much alike.
I snorted. “Do you think the alpha wouldn’t have tried that? The bastard who bought her wouldn’t let her go.”
He sighed. “Then we go the hard way.”
“We go the hard way.” I repeated.
“Are you all done?” I asked the guys.
“Yes.” They chorused, each man slanging his bag on his shoulder.
“Let’s go.” I beamed as I saw how ready they were. The alpha would be pleased to see us tomorrow.
