8.She Hates You

Book:Rejected Silent Lone Wolf Published:2025-4-7

Anna’s POV
“I heard that Willow’s cousin Lisa was subjected to a caning and was expelled from the Blue Moon Pack.”
“Wow, why? Lisa has always had a close relationship with Mrs. Willow. How could Mrs. Willow let her face such a severe punishment?”
“Keep it down, Lisa committed a serious crime. She poisoned Luna Willow and tried to sow discord between Alpha Oscar’s two wives…”
I rolled up my sleeves by the river, focusing on washing clothes, ignoring the whispers. After finishing, I left the river and carried a bamboo basket into the forest to collect herbs.
To be honest, I’m not a very social wolf. Ever since my mother died, it’s as if I lost the ability to form connections with others. I prefer communicating with herbs and finding the true masterminds behind my mother’s murder-the leaders of those Rogues.
“Hey, mute Omega, off to the woods alone again.”
A familiar man’s teasing voice echoed in the tranquil mountains. I furrowed my brow and continued deeper into the woods. Yet, the male wolf shamelessly leaped out from behind a large rock, grabbed my shoulder, and tossed me into the river.
“Splish-splash!”
Struggling in the water, I raised my head, wanting to curse. But the naked male wolf stood on the bank, and I shyly covered my eyes.
“Hahaha, mute one, you look adorable falling into the water!” Luke laughed heartily and jumped into the river too.
The splashing water blurred my vision again, and then the hot, solid body pressed against my back. I turned my head angrily to glare at him.
“Anna, this is what happens after you help Henry. Now, beg for mercy, and I might spare you.”
Luke’s hot breath hit my ear, his strong chest against my arm, almost paralyzing me. I rolled my eyes at him again. This childish guy was still mad about my defense of his brother, Henry, in the hunting ground a fortnight ago. Like his mother, Willow, he was arrogant and always picked on Henry, who had human blood.
“What do you think? Or do you want to spend the night with me here?” Luke lifted my soaked golden hair, making ‘spend the night’ sound extremely suggestive.
What do you want?
I gestured in resignation.
“You’re good at using herbs, aren’t you? I want you to give Henry some Enchanting Flowers.”
I frowned. Enchanting Flowers were pink flowers emitting an alluring fragrance containing a charm element, capable of arousing desire and emotions in humans. Not lethal, but it would certainly embarrass Henry.
Sorry, I don’t have the herb you mentioned.
I replied with gestures.
“Huh, then what do you have? If it satisfies me, I might let you go.”
Luke’s handsome face lit up with a mischievous smile as he stared into my hazel eyes, and I pondered.
I couldn’t really give him herbs to play a trick on Henry. That way, I’d offend not only Luke but also Henry. Besides, I didn’t want too much involvement with Alpha Oscar’s two sons.
Okay, let go of me, and I’ll give you a fun herb now.
I gestured.
“Alright, Anna. I must say, don’t try to fool me, or I won’t spare you,” Luke let go of me.
Once on shore, I fiddled with leaves in the bamboo basket and handed him a blue bottle.
This is the forgetfulness potion you wanted. The affected werewolf will fall into an illusion and, more importantly, won’t remember what happened during the potion’s effect.
Luke looked at me seriously gesturing, then smiled, “You’re clever.”
As he took the bottle, he seemed unsure. He opened the cap, brought his nose close to the bottle, and in an instant, his towering figure fell. I reluctantly kicked Luke’s leg to confirm he was completely unconscious, then left with the bamboo basket.
I didn’t lie to him; this forgetfulness potion could indeed make someone lose their memory. It’s just that he wouldn’t remember meeting me tonight and playing tricks on him.
Kevin’s POV
“You bunch of useless people! It’s been a week, and you can’t even find a woman!”
I angrily smashed the teacup. The werewolves kneeling on the ground held their breaths, avoiding eye contact with me. Only Beta Liam stood tall, meeting my gaze.
“Alpha, are you sure the woman you saw at the bar was Ella? As you said, her hair was blonde, while Ella’s is black. They might just be different she-wolves who look alike.”
“Just look alike?” I glared at Beta Liam. “Liam, are you questioning me? Look at this group of stupid wolves you’ve selected. Now, get out!”
My roar ended, and the wolves in the office rushed out.
Sometimes, I find Beta Liam’s seriousness and frankness troubling, completely different from his sister Maya who is good at pleasing people. Thinking about his recent words, I furrowed my brow. Have I really mistaken someone? Was that woman just an illusion from my drunkenness?
No, Kevin, trust yourself, trust me. She is truly our mate. I can feel her; her scent is exactly like Ella’s.
My wolf emerged to comfort me.
“But Eric, why has she vanished without a trace, as if she evaporated from existence? And if Ella is still alive, why hasn’t she contacted me in five years? And she returned to the Blood Moon pack but refuses to meet me?” I voiced my most pressing thoughts of the week.
Why else, Kevin? Because Ella hates you.
My wolf’s tone became very harsh.
You not only rejected her but also slept with her former friend Maya the night before. Ella’s mother died because of you. Her hatred toward you is justified, Kevin. I must say, our Mate doesn’t want to see you. You’re not being unjust.
Eric’s straightforwardness pierced my heart like a sword. Regret reddened my eyes.
“Yes, I understand. I will atone. As long as Ella is alive, I will seek her forgiveness.”
“But for now, we need to find her.”
Yeah, so what’s your plan?
My wolf began to feel anxious again.
I stood up from the chair, thinking of a place where we could seek help. I hastily put on my coat, dashed out of the hall, and told Beta Liam outside the door, “We’re heading south now.”
“Alpha, why are we going south?”
“To find the witches in the south. They might provide us with some leads.”
“Understood, Alpha.”
