The whole werewolf realm had heard about the mystery girl, the news was all over the place.
She disguised herself and sneaked into their presence for a while now and even went to the extent of dating the king but now she has been captured, that was the rumor all over the place.
An unconscious Juliana was trapped inside a huge iron cell with heavy guards around there. Nobody leaves or enters the place except the king and the royals.
The day for her execution was issued by King Ryan, and the whole people were happy except her only friend Aria.
The news came as a shock to her but she still believes that she meant no harm and could never allow them to slash Juliana’s head just like that.
Though she does know what to do, as each day approaches clocking closer to her deadline, Aria wasn’t herself anymore. The fear of losing the one person that means a lot to her weighed her down.
On a fateful night against tomorrow, which is the execution day, Aria was seen pacing around in the kitchen with a heavy heart.
Her mind and heart were aching her to do something, yet she couldn’t think of anything.
She suddenly jerked up as she felt the door pulled open, she watched Margaret walk in with a tray of food.
“Go to the cell and serve these foods to the warriors there,” she instructed.
“But ma…… it was ordered that no one should be near the cell except the royals,” Aria stuttered.
“The queen requested that they get fed against tomorrow to be fit,” Margaret announced, earning a nervous nod from Aria.
Though she kind of didn’t buy the words of Margaret but she couldn’t allow the opportunity of going to set her eyes on her friend slide like that.
Reaching the cell with the tray of food, the warrior’s predatory eyes cause her hand to become shaky.
“Hmmm…..” She sounds nervous.
“Why are you here?” One of the warriors asked.
“The queen instructed for you all to eat against tomorrow,” she stammered thinking that they would send her away with the way they were glancing at each other but it wasn’t long before they snatched the plate away from her and started eating.
Aria tilted her neck to peep inside for her friend but she was quickly sent away.
Sitting beside the kitchen door, she checked the time and it was almost twelve, tears slid down her eyes pulling her to her feet. All her hope was gone, it had already reached the deadline.
She kept sobbing till she felt someone tap her from the back, lifting her head. It was Miss Magaret, Naomi, and Kaiden.
She raised a brow at them to speak up.
“Follow us,” Margaret commands before they turn and start walking toward the direction where Juliana has been detained.
She seemed confused but at the same time curious, first, she doesn’t get along with the two girls and now they are taking her to where her friend is being held captive.
Almost to the entrance, Aria’s eyes widened in shock at the scene in front of her. The whole guards were lying on the floor snoring, she quickly knelt to plead to Margaret that she knew nothing about that before she was hushed and pulled up by Kaiden.
“Shhh…..” She hushed her.
“You did nothing wrong, Miss Margaret here poisoned their food so that we can help you and execute the plan,” she said.
“Which…… plan?” Aria sputtered.
“We need to take Ashley away from here before dawn,” Naomi said in a muffled voice.
“Ashley to…… escape,” Aria gaped with her mouth open, earning a quick nod from them.
“But I thought that none of you have ever liked her,”
“This is not a time for all this, come on,” Margaret urged her before Naomi and Kaiden started searching the pocket of every guard lying there to know if they could find the key to the cell Juliana was lying in.
Aria was somehow happy but on the other hand, she was a bit afraid that this might be a setup, so she stood in her position and looked at them.
“Yea!” Kaiden silently jumped up with the key in her hold.
“Come on,” Naomi called a confused Aria before they rushed to the cell.
Margaret quickly dragged Aria and pulled her to the cell, where the little fragile frame of Juliana was lying for days.
Tears sprinkle down Aria’s face at the sight, but with a sudden determination. She put her hands to help pull her away ignoring the negative sensation.
“There is a secret door at the back of the pack,” Naomi announced.
“But what about the guards?” Aria questioned when still carrying Juliana.
“They have been taken care of,” Margaret mumbled with a triumphant smile.
Aria stared at her with shock, “So she means that all the warriors in the pack have been poisoned with sleeping pills……… so they have all these whole things already planned out,” she thought.
It wasn’t long before they made it out of the pack into the woods, they kept striding inside with no destination on their mind and the worst part was that it was almost dawn. The atmosphere is slowly getting brighter.
After a long walk, they saw a small dark cave at the extreme of the woods. They followed the directions and walked inside.
They flinched at the creepy nature of the cave, it was dark with rough surface edges. The gravel kept pulling on their bare feet, lifting their heads and they noticed red-eyed spots all over the place.
“Ahh!!” With fear Kaiden screamed, causing the red-eyed creatures which were no other than bats to swarm away.
“Shhh,” Naomi hushed her, earning a fearful nod from her.
“Hello, is anyone here!” Aria kept calling when stepping forward.
They stopped in their tracks as they saw water in front of them, and that water determined whether they could cross over to the next part of the cave.
They swallowed at the snakes moving underneath the water as they both exchanged nervous looks before striding through the water with panic.
It wasn’t long before they crossed over to the next part and then turning around they saw an old woman with a lantern in her hands.
“Who are you?” They asked in unison.
But the old woman stared at the girl in their hands and gestured for them to follow her.
They gulped nervously and started following her, she opened a room and they strode in with awe faces at the interior.
“Keep her here,” they did as instructed.
“Please who are you?” Margaret asked.
“I am the sister of Cora, the powerful witch,” she announced, making their mouth curl in an O shape.
“That makes a witch then,” Kaiden said.
“Yes!”
“Please can you save my friend?” Aria knelt immediately with tears in her eyes.
“I wished that I could but I can’t,” she answered, scaring them.
“But you are a witch,” Aria teared up.
“She was supposed to be conscious by now,”
“But she isn’t,” Margaret blurted.
“Yes! Because her wolf is angry for being trapped and suppressed for months now,” the witch confessed.
“A wolf……. Suppressed……trapped,” they all glanced at each other.
“I warned her about the implications but she refused and now this is the result, I gave her a liquid content and warned her to come back before it finishes but she didn’t return,”
And that’s when Aria’s mind went back to the day that she saw the little bottle in Juliana’s room. That day that she was acting weird.
“If she ever survives, she will no longer be in control of her gifts or she will remain like this forever,” the witch mother uttered.
“So what do we do to save Ashley?” Naomi asked.
“Her name is not Ashley but Juliana,” the witch countered, earning an aghast look from them.
“She needs her wolf to recognize her and save her or she will permanently remain like this,”
“Then help out and tell her wolf to accept her,”
“I can’t, the power running through her vein is too much for me to handle,”
“Please!!” Aria falls to the ground with a disheartened cry.
“I am sorry but I can’t be of help,”
“Please!!”
After a series of pleading and begging, the witch decided to give it a try though it seems risky but Aria is ready to walk through that lane.
The two of them sat in front of a fire with their legs crossed and their hands joined together as they pleaded for Heaven to reconsider and accept Juliana back.
