Walking through the staircases with a bag of fruits that Margaret has requested her to bring into the kitchen, this is the fruits that will be given to the guests today. Despite how heavy those fruits were, Juliana kept pulling through. With faint breath, she was dragging the fruits with her to the kitchen. The erratic beating of her heart clouded her ears and senses, which made her fail to notice that Aria was calling her or even around her.
She jerked up with a nervous look as she felt someone tap her shoulder twice. “You!….. You scared me,” Juliana voiced with a throbbing heart.
“Sorry I couldn’t have touched you but….
“But,” Juliana’s eyes caressed in confusion.
“I have called you for hours now without any response from your side,” Aria uttered.
“You have called me?” Juliana said with doubt. “If you called, I should have heard you,”
“I called several times,” Aria maintained.
“Fine, let me assume that you truly called, so why are you calling me?” She asked blankly.
“Come on, Ashley…….. What did I do wrong because you started distancing yourself from me?” Aria questioned.
“You did nothing wrong,” she said. “Then why the cold shoulder?” Aria asked.
“Aria!!” She called with anger.
“Yea, that’s my name,” Aria answered.
“Just stay away from me, I just love my privacy,” Juliana let out.
“What’s wrong with you? Just tell me what I did wrong. I hate the silent treatment……. Why don’t you want me around you?” Aria half screamed with confusion and difficulty in her throat, she is trying so hard to control her emotions.
“I owe you no explanation, you did nothing bad……. All I am asking is for you to stay on your own, I hope it is not hard for you to do?” She said sarcastically with a blank expression.
She stared at her for some minutes before turning to leave but Aria suddenly blocked her path. Juliana shot her a quick glare before she felt a severe pang in her heart.
“Ahhh!!” She screamed in pain as the bag of fruits slipped out of her hold, and shattered on the floor with some roaming down the staircase.
“The fruits!!” She shouted, she watched with terror as some fruits kept smashing on the floor and damaging. She didn’t have time to comprehend what just happened before she felt another pain.
“Ahhh!!” She screamed, Aria was snapped out of her startled state before she rushed towards Juliana.
Pain flashes in her eyes, her muscles twitching trying to get her to move. Adrenaline pumped into her vein as she screams in pain, the more she tries to overcome it, the harder it comes.
A terrifying cry escaped her throat, forcing her to her feet. She cries in agony as she groans in pain scaring Aria. Aria stood there not knowing what to do or how to react to this.
“What’s wrong, Ashey?” She scarily muttered with trembling lips. Juliana tries to wake up before she quickly slumps and falls with another throbbing pain across her chest. Her heart is beating at a very fast rate, her eyes are blurry and full of tears. She felt as if she was choking, her heart tightened as another heartbroken cry escaped her throat.
“You are scaring me, Ashley,” Aria cried out when wrapping her around her palms.
“I think that I need to call for help since no one has passed through this hallway,” Aria said.
Standing up to leave, Juliana clenched handfuls of her clothes to stop her from moving. “I need to go call for help?” Aria uttered.
“Please……” Juliana grit her teeth in pain. Her eyes seemed pale and she looked almost lifeless.
“I need to go call someone,” Aria nervously said with a scared tone. Juliana spared her a quick gaze before staring back at the empty air, her heart tightened as another pain shot through her heart. Holding her chest, with her head thrown back a bit she screamed in pain. She knew the feelings……. This is exactly what does happen when someone’s mate is fucking another person.
But what had her confused is that she doesn’t have any mates, for now, she just came in here for a while. She blinked back her tears but they kept streaming down. “Please just take me to my room,” she barely whispered with a quivering lip.
“Fine! Get up,” dragging her to her room with difficulty. Juliana slipped out of her hold and fell to the cold floor, hitting her head at the edge of the staircase.
“Ahh!!” Blood was dripping out of the spot, her head was spinning around. Aria rushed towards her with nothing but tears and a scared look. She is afraid and has no idea why she is going through this pain. Juliana fights to keep her eyelid open to avoid slipping into darkness. She felt hurt and broken that she pleaded for the so-called mate that she hasn’t placed her eyes on to please stop fucking another.
“Bl……. blood,” Aria’s eyes went wide as she saw the blood dripping from Juliana’s head. “Ash…. ley…. You are bleeding,” she aghast.
Juliana’s heart kept heaving up and down, she knew that the wounds would take a long time to heal. She doesn’t have a wolf, so she will heal like a human. “No!!” Tightening her grip on Aria, she let out a scream as she felt another pain pierce through her heart like a sharp sliver blade. The clenching of Aria’s shoulder had her in pain but she didn’t feel pain as her head was clouded with the pain Juliana was going through.
Juliana’s eyes were wide open in panic, she gritted her teeth in pain with her nails dunged into Aria’s shoulder. Her lips are quivering as her eyebrow shivered in pain, no matter how much she tries to control her tears still they keep flowing down.
“Ashley stop, please I am bleeding,” Aria gaped as she noticed blood from where Juliana’s hold on her was. Removing her hands from her shoulder, that’s when the pain hit her. Her shoulder was full of bruises, and she shrunk back and winched in pain. Juliana felt bad but she couldn’t do anything as the pain she was going through had her in a place.
“We need to go…… I have to get you to your room and tidy here before anybody sees us,” Aria said before lifting her from the ground. Juliana’s leg felt so heavy for her to walk with, and holding Aria for support she kept limping. Her eyes hurt due to too many tears.

She mumbled as she felt the pain lessen, she thought that finally, she is free from strange torture. Walking down the staircase, she felt another striking pain in her chest. Unexpectedly screaming in pain, with her hand on her chest. She loses her balance and falls off the staircase. She kept rolling down and smashing her head at the rails and walls. Before Aria could run to her, she had already reached the floor. She had a cut on her leg, she knew that the stairs’ edges left a deep cut on her leg almost to her toes. Aria’s eyes watered as she stares at Juliana. Aria knew that Juliana must have sprained her ankle.
She blamed herself for not holding her right, something like this hasn’t happened in her presence before, so that’s what had her confused and the whole thing scared the shit out of her. “What do I do now?” She murmured. Stooping a bit, she curled Juliana in her palms with a nervous stare.
Clenching her hold on Aria’s uniform, she buried her face in her clothes. Having endured too much pain, she felt numb as no tears were coming out again from her eyes. Her eyes are red-shot and swollen. Having cried enough, no more tears were coming out again. Her whole body aches, every fiber in her body seems like they have been ripped out of her. The throbbing of her heart is heavy and every bone in her body seems broken and shattered into pieces.
Her face was caressed in pain, her facial expression showed that she is passing through a lot of pain. Aria kept stroking her head to calm her a bit but Juliana isn’t having any of those. The pain was still there, and the idea of how Margaret would end her life popped up in her head. How does she explain to Margaret what really happens and why does the stupid torture have to happen to her now? She knew that Magaret would be the last person to give her a listening ear, not after being instructed by that demon Queen to frustrate her life. The pain of entering into another severe punishment after this one wounds her heart and before she knew it a disheartened cry escaped from the back of her head and tears cascaded down her face.
She thought that she had cried enough, but hell no! Because more tears kept flowing involuntarily. “Sorry…… Ashley, please bear it a bit…..”
“I know that you are going through a lot of pain but please bear it,” With a cracking voice, Aria pleaded. Tears stung at the corner of her eyes, blurring her vision and sense of reasoning. Stroking her cheeks, she kept whispering words of encouragement into her ear.
At some point, the pain stopped, but before she could release a sigh of relief, they started hearing footsteps. The clicking of the heels on the floor vibrates the whole hallway.
“Who is that?” Aria murmured with a panicked tone. She glanced at Juliana and then at the mess in the whole hallway. The punishment that they will go through if they were in any way caught here. Her heart took in a faster pace as her facial expression deepened in fear.
“I think is queen…… Rebecca,” Juliana said with difficulty but with Aria’s wolf. She heard her loud and clear.
“No! I don’t think so,” Aria doubts. They both stilled as they glanced around waiting for the unknown.
“Over here, miss,” a guard’s voice echoes the place. They both released a sigh of relief as the person stopped and took another turn.
It seems like the person is being directed to another place because the clicking of the heels vibrates at the other end of the hallway.
“Thanks……” A feminine voice mumbled to the guard causing Juliana’s heartbeat to stop within an instant as she heard the familiar voice that she had come to despise so much.
