Chapter 464: What Did I Say?

As they drove, she grew curious and asked, “Wyatt, were you with Mr. Evans last night?”
“Yeah,” Wyatt said, keeping his answer short and clear.
“So, you know everything that happened last night, don’t you?” she asked.
Wyatt seemed to catch on quickly. “You mean what happened with Bruno.” He couldn’t hold back as he went on, “Mr. Evans tracked your phone to find you. When we got there, you had already passed out. Bruno forced you to drink too much. Mr. Evans handled him and took you out of that place.”
Bianca felt a chill run through her. Her voice came out as a whisper. “And last night… what did I say?”
Wyatt blinked slowly. He looked at Bianca and stayed quiet for a moment.
Noticing his hesitation, Bianca gave him a small smile. “Don’t worry. I won’t repeat anything you say today.”
“Well…” Wyatt paused and remembered what she had done last night. “Are you sure you want to know?”
Bianca gave a firm nod.
“Absolutely. I have the right to know, don’t I?”
Wyatt nodded. “You kept asking Mr. Evans if he loves you or not. And you called him a jerk.”
Bianca’s eyes widened.
“I said that?”
“Absolutely. And not just me-some of Mr. Evans’s staff heard it too.”
Bianca went silent.
She had really been that drunk in front of everyone? Bianca placed a hand on her forehead. It felt like her dignity had crumbled.
“Miss Scott,” Wyatt called her name gently. Bianca looked up at him, blinking.
He looked like he was thinking hard. Then, in a careful voice, he asked, “If that written agreement didn’t matter… would you forgive Mr. Evans and be with him?”
“What do you mean?” Bianca asked, frowning in confusion.
Wyatt cleared his throat. “I mean… if Mr. Evans doesn’t go through with his promise to Miss Larson, would you marry him?”
Bianca blinked. Her fingers curled slightly as she turned to look out the window. Memories of Dave filled her mind. After a brief pause, she said, “Maybe.”
Then she added, “But he won’t break his promise to the one who saved him. And Skylar won’t let go of the chance to marry him. So, it probably won’t happen.”
Wyatt’s face turned serious. “I understand,” he said.
After dropping her off, he drove away.
As Bianca walked into the company, she felt eyes on her. Staff and receptionists looked at her with surprise, curiosity, and even a bit of admiration.
What was going on?
Bianca was puzzled. When Diana came out of the office and saw her, she rushed over.
“Bianc!” Diana grabbed her arm and led her toward the office. “Come here.”
“What happened?” Bianca asked as they walked.
Diana didn’t say anything until they were inside with the door closed. Then she looked at Bianca with worry in her eyes. “I tried calling you last night, but your phone was off. Where were you? I was so worried, I almost called the police!”
Bianca took out her phone and pressed the power button. It was off. She must’ve forgotten to charge it.
“Sorry, I forgot,n to charge my phone,” she said, showing the black screen to Diana.
Diana frowned and crossed her arms. “That’s not like you. Just be honest-where were you last night?”
Feeling uneasy, Bianca quickly changed the subject. “So, what’s going on? Why is everyone staring at me? How did the live stream go? What are people saying about Reese?”
Diana looked straight at her. “A lot happened last night. That’s why I kept trying to call you! Do you know how worried I was when I couldn’t find you?”
“It’s all my fault! Please, just tell me what happened,” Bianca said, anxious to know.
Diana let out a sigh. “The live stream ended up going fine. They didn’t bring up the issue again. But online, people were talking a lot about Reese. She dropped to last place in the voting. Meanwhile, Shelly Nelson’s popularity shot up. She didn’t beat Blake, but she got a huge boost. A lot of topics about her started trending.”
Bianca had seen this coming. After Reese’s scandal, Orion Entertainment used the moment to lift Shelly’s image and viciously pull Reese down. People didn’t even realize it was being planned and manipulated.
Still, she was glad she ended the stream in time last night. It had stopped things from getting worse and helped protect Blake’s name.
If Shelly had ended up on top, Emerald Artists Agency wouldn’t just be laughed at. Their future deals could’ve fallen apart too.
This was the best result Bianca could hope for.
“Is that everything?” she asked, eyeing Diana carefully. She had a feeling there was more.
Sure enough, Diana nodded slowly. “No, there’s more!”
“Last night, rumors spread that Reese was taking on promo gigs during filming,” Diana said. “But the crew cleared it up fast. They said her promo work didn’t really overlap with the shoot. She even showed up early.”
“The promo team backed them up right away by sharing the schedule.”
Diana paused, thinking, then added, “It caused a bit of noise at first, but someone shut it down quickly. That was the end of it.”
Bianca gave a small nod.
No doubt, Bruno had pulled a few strings with the research institute to get Reese’s schedule that fast.
No need to guess-Leonel was clearly behind it!
Bianca smiled to herself.
It looked like her brother had a soft spot for Reese.
But could Bruno and Leonel really stop the rumors?
Bianca wasn’t so sure.
“It’s not a big deal. It’s been handled. But the real issue is…”
Diana handed Bianca a phone. “Take a look.”
Bianca frowned as she took it. Her face turned pale as she read the headline.
It was about her and Dave. The article called her his secret lover. It said Dave had given up his right to the Evans family fortune because of her and had embarrassed Skylar in front of everyone.
There was even a video from the Evans Group’s celebration event.
In front of everyone, Dave had chosen Bianca. Skylar had broken down, clinging to him in front of the crowd.
The video left no chance for Bianca to explain. The story had already spread.
“Now people are saying our agency only made it because of Phoenix Alliance Group,” Diana said. “They think Blake and Reese got famous because of the CEO.”
“We both know Blake and Reese earned everything on their own,” Bianca said, gripping her phone to calm herself. “How did the production team respond?”
“Guess what? They’re leaving the choice to you,” Diana replied.
“Me?” Bianca stared at Diana, confused.
