Hour later…
” There we are all done,” I heard my mom say, looking down at me with a happy grin. She felt proud, and I could see it on her face.
My mom is such a cute and sweet lady, don’t get me wrong. My mom might be dear and beautiful. But if you piss her off. Run.
You better run. She will get you some way or other. So, don’t mess with her family-especially her babies.
“Avery, sweety, are you ready to see what you look like,” my mom asked me.
I took a deep breath.
“Closes your eyes,” I heard my mom say.
So, I did what she told me to do.
I closed my eyes, and they turned me around.
I can feel the air change when that happens.
“Okay, Avery, open them.” I heard my mom say.
I open up my eyes.
I gasp. I had my hands by my side, lifting them to my mouth.
I don’t believe this is me; there is no way this beautiful girl here is me sitting in this chair?
Before you ask who this is.
” Don’t bother.” You know it’s you,” Ashely said behind me. I could see her in the mirror, and I saw her smile.
I smiled, and I nodded my head, for I understood the expression on my face.
“Well, what are you girls waiting for,” I heard my dad in the doorway?
We all looked, and I saw my dad and brother staring into the room.
” I got off the chair, and I touched the mirror to see if this was the real me.
But once I see this girl. I was still not convinced it was me until I touched my face.
“You ladies look beautiful, Lizzy and mom said. They both had happy tears in their eyes.
I gave them a warm smile, and I had tears.
Then saw that and told me not to cry.
So, I did. I didn’t cry.
My dad came in the door, and my brother came.
My dad came over to me and kissed me on the forehead.
” Oh, my baby girl, you look beautiful.” He tells me with tears in his eyes. I never saw my father cry.
Then he stepped back and told the girls they looked beautiful too.
“Sis, you look beautiful.” He said and walked over to me and kissed me on my forehead.
“Thank you, bubby,” I told him and squeezed him.
Then he looked over at Ash and Nat.
“You do too, girls,” he told them with a warm smile.
So, a birdy told me you girls don’t have a date,” he said.
“Hmm, I wonder who told you, and I wonder who you know that?” I asked him and looked back over at Lizzy; she was looking off the other side of the room. So, she knew I was talking to her. But she didn’t pay attention.
I still got my eyes on Lizzy. But she didn’t want to look. So that when she opened her mouth and spoke.
“Oh, okay, it was me.” I am sorry. I wanted to help.” She spoke.
“How is that going to help us?” Ashely asked.
“Eddy here has frat brothers, and they know all about this.
So, they said they would take you, girls, to the homecoming dance.” She said with a big smile on her face.
I sighed and looked back over at Ashely and Natalie. They both had a look saying that’s sweet of you, but no thanks.
Yes, I decided to go to the dance with Ashely, Natalie, and Emilia. They don’t have dates either. So, we thought we didn’t need dates.
I know my brother did ask the girls and me if he could get his friends to take us.
But I politely said no.
It was okay, and he didn’t have to do that.
So, he kept asking, but I said it was okay, but no.
Then he stopped asking, and he told me. If you girls change your minds, we’re only a phone call away.

Once Emilia showed up at my house, we all took pictures together. I took some with my parents and brother and Lizzy.

Once I stepped into the dance with my friends, we saw the gym chance from a beautiful castle with white snow and sparkles hanging down from the ceiling.
It was like the frozen movie I love to watch when I am sad and down in the dumps.
Then we walked a little closer to the stage. I gasped when I saw fog and lights. Is that real snow?

I started leaving my friends when I walked toward the snack table to get something to drink.
Once I got close to the table, I grabbed a cup and was about to grab the handle in the punch bowl.
Someone grabbed it first.
I looked up and saw Elijah Woods, Jake Stone, Andrew Bradford, and Matthew Steele standing in front of me with their dates.
They were hanging over them.
“Oh, sorry, Avery, I didn’t see you there.”
“Here you go; he handled it to me. When Elijah said, staring into my eyes with a, I miss you, expression on his face. That was when I saw it-the other guy’s expression. The same thing was on Elijah’s face. Guilt.
I cleared my throat thanks, grabbed the handle, lifted my cup, and poured the punch inside.
I didn’t look at them again, and I took my drink and walked away to my friends.
Whoa, I am dizzy, I thought to myself. Why do I feel tired? After the incident at the snack table with the guys and their dates.
I took a drink and I down it, and I grabbed my friends and pushed them out on the dance floor.
I started dancing my little feet off.
A couple of times, I felt some guy behind me. But I didn’t care. I was having fun with my girls, which all matters right now.
I didn’t want to think about my so-called mates doing whatsoever with the girls.
So, I will not spoil our time together because I am worried about my heart.
“Damn, Avery, can we go sit down. am beat.” I heard Ashely say, trying to catch her breath.
“Yeah, you should try out for cheer, girl, Emilia says, breathing hard.
” Yeah, Avery, we tired.” I am going to sit down and get off my feet.” Natalie said she had her shoes in her hands and tried not to walk on her feet.
“Ouch! Ouch! I heard her say, walking away. I chuckle under my breath.
“Oh, party pooper, I told them and went back dancing.
Then a couple of minutes later. I started dancing, and I was all by myself. I didn’t care. I was having fun.
When a fast song stopped, and a slow song came on. I went off the dance floor. I went to look for my friends.
But I could find them? Where can they be?
So, I am looking for them. I heard some voices down the hallway.
So, I was curious who it could be. So, I started following it.
“You’re a fucking asshole!” How could you be my brother.” I heard Emila yelling at her brother.
‘I know, sis, I am sorry,” It was all in the little fun,” he tells her with guilt.
‘You better hope she doesn’t find out what you all been doing this whole time,” She answered.
‘Emilia, look! –
“No, you look, Elijah” You knew how long she was your mate! And you have the nerve to make a bet,” She yelled back at him.
“What! What bet?” I whispered under my breath.
‘I know, okay, I am sorry,” We are all sorry.”

” What you mean, Duke?” Huh.” Emila said with hurt in her voice.

” I can’t believe this; my both mates knew and were on this the whole time,” Emilia said, crying.

That was when I had to look.
When I did, I saw Elijah, Jake, Andrew, Matthew, Duke, and Joseph standing in front of Emilia, staring at the ground.
” Avery is right.” We are monsters,” she said, and that was when I gasped and didn’t realize they all looked over at me.
That was when I ran.
I ran fast as I could.
I don’t know where I was going, but I knew I wanted out of here.
I ignored whoever was following me. I didn’t know I was hearing fast pacing footsteps and voices trying to get me to stop.
I kept running as fast as possible, and I wiped my eyes because I needed to see where I was going. I didn’t want to run into a tree or fall off a cliff.
I do know I am still in the school parking lot.
That was when I heard voices behind me.
They asked me to stop.
“Stop! “Avery,” I heard a deep manly voice behind me.
But somehow, I listen. The only one who could do that is Alpha or Alphas.
I knew who it was before they were behind me. So yeah, I am not stupid. It’s them.
They knew my mates fucked up.
Now they have been treating me like a nobody again. Before that, they would tease me and pick on me.
I miss that. I miss them making me laugh after we all have truths. But no, one was fighting or being mean and cruel to me anymore.
But now they did something worst they picked on me.

I can feel them. They knew I was hurting because I was not hiding it anymore.

That was when someone turned me around. When I am staring into the eyes of Elijah, and beside him are Jake, Andrew, and Matthew.
I can see the worry and the guilt in their eyes.
Good, I thought. They don’t deserve me feeling sorry for them.
But that’s not how I am. I am not a mean girl.
When Emilia said back there, she was right about one thing. They don’t deserve me.
I should have known; they didn’t want me. So, I had that feeling something was off. But I didn’t listen.
“No, Avery listens to them out.” I heard Angelstar.
“Yeah, give them a chance to make it right,” Angelica says.
I wanted to listen to them. I want to believe it wasn’t true that I am only a stupid bet.
That all I was to them, a fucking bet!
I closed my eyes, and I tried to calm my breathing down.
” If you let us explain, we tell you more-

“I just have to ask you one thing, and then you can leave me alone.

“I don’t believe you guys!” I scream out at them.
But I knew he was lying; I knew all of them were lying to me.
I started to step back and get their hands off me.
I don’t want to be here. I want to run. I want to run as fast as I can away from this place.
But before I moved their hands off my shoulder. I step out of their hold.
I turned, and I was going to run.
But I was stopped by someone’s lips on mine.
I realized I was out in the school’s parking lot alone with Elij, Jake, Andrew, and Matthew.
But who was kissing me? I didn’t know yet. Because I still got my eyes closed.
Once the kiss broke. I open my eyes. I saw Andrew.
Andrew kissed me first.
” He gave me another sweet, gentle kiss. I was still staring up at him. He sees I have a shocked and faraway look on my face.
I heard him chuckle.
“I missed this.’ I heard Andrew say.
I was still in a translation when I looked over at Andrew. I didn’t even feel someone picking me up in their arms. So, they start carrying me to a vehicle.
I knew I shouldn’t go with them. But damn it, I wanted to go.
I have missed them too. But I am still hurt.
So, I pretend to stay in a translation to go with them. Suppose I am only going to have one more night with them. That will last a lifetime in my heart.

Three Years Later…
“Push, baby! I hear my husband and mate Elijah say.
“Yes, one more push, sweetheart, ” said my other husband and mate.
I am so much pain, and I knew I had to get my babies out or they would die.
I have been having a complicated pregnancy this whole time. I PROVED THEM WRONG when I was told I should not have pups. No matter what he said to the doctor, I would have my pups.
So, now I am here in the packhouse with Andrew’s father delivering our babies.
His grandkids. But he told us he wanted the babies to be born, the granddad one and the doctor one; he said I should have never gotten pregnant.
It’s for my health’s sake, he told me. So, you see, my ovals are still backward and shape like a tiny peanut.
So, they are a twenty percent chance I could die or live.
So, I chose to die then. Because I wanted to give birth to my babies. I am not going to lose them.
” Yes, princess, push our pups out; they need to see their mommy,” I heard Matthew, another of my husband and mate.
” 1, 2, 3, push Avery, I heard my father-in-law say.
So, I took a deep breath, and I pushed.
Okay, good baby, I felt Andrew’s hand inside mine.
Squeeze it, and it’s okay.” Andrew tells me.
So, I look over at him and my other husbands.
So, I made up my mind and let in a deep breath. Then, I let it out with a big scream and started pushing my babies out. That was when I saw darkness and blackout.
“Hey, there, mommy,” I heard someone say when my eyes started opening. I saw my father-in-law holding my babies in his arms.
They were sucking on their finger. But then, I saw blonde and red hair, just like the time in my dreams.
My pups. I thought with a happy feeling and am so excited now. I got a wonderful husband and mates, and now we got our pups.
I am looking around for my husband’s,
Don’t worry, and I told them to leave you be for a minute. So, I got to be quick before they come in here.” I heard my doctor/father-in-law say with a chuckle.
He is a wonderful man. But sadly, his mate ran off with another wolf. That is what Andrew told me when I asked him about his mother.
He doesn’t like to talk about it. So, I never asked him again.
” I am staring at my babies with their grandfather. I see his face light up with a warm smile on his face. ”
I saw him laugh and smile. But sometimes, it is a fake smile. He doesn’t want people to know anything is bothering him. But I have this gift to read people and know when they’re lying and hiding something.
” Avery, I am so sorry for telling you you should not get pregnant” I should never say that.” It’s just I didn’t want you to die. I fell in love with you when I found out you became my daughter.”
He told me with tears in his eyes falling down his cheeks.
I could not help it. I was crying. I knew they were running down my face.
So, that’s why I wanted to talk to you alone.” I wanted to tell you I am sorry, and I love you.”
“Daughter,” I heard him say, and I gave him a smile with tears in my eyes. I saw now the tears falling down his face.
That was when I heard someone clear their voice. I looked to the door, and I saw my men. They were standing there looking hot and beautiful.
“Babe! We have plenty of time later.” Andrew says with a smirk and a chuckle.
“Yeah, we can’t make whoopie yet,” Matthew said.
“Hey, ouch! I saw Jake hit him back of the head.
“Hey, what about Andrew? He said it too,” Matthew said, all defenses
That’s when I heard a room full of chuckles.
I saw my four best friends walking past the guys toward me. But they went for the baby.
“Oh, they’re my babies!”
“Now, girls, one at a time,’ I heard Andrew’s dad say, trying to back away from them.
“You have to wait, ladies; mommy here didn’t get to hold them yet,” he said.
That was when he placed both my babies in my arms gently.
I saw my husband walk over towards the bed. They knew what I wanted to name our babies. They were okay with it.
” I looked over at my husband.
I love you, and I looked at all four of them. I saw tinted red on their cheeks.
I never made my husband blush before.
But before I knew it, I bent their head down and gave each one a big kiss.
After I was satisfied with the guy’s lips on mine one at a time.

That was when I felt tiny hands grab hold of my hand.
I saw my daughter and my son touching my hand with their hands.
I love them so much.
I am so happy I have my babies.
I looked down at the most precious beautiful babies in the world. I knew what names I wanted to be.
I had a tear thinking about my grandparents.

Once I told everybody our children’s names. I turned and saw our parents standing inside the door. I saw my father and mother crying.
They heard I named them after my grandparents. My mother’s parents and my father’s parents have the same name. But unfortunately, they are gone-both of my grandparents.
I sighed, and that was when I heard Emilia, my sister-in-law, speak.
” Now can I hold my beautiful godchildren” I heard Emilia say

So, after everyone was fighting over who would hold my babies, I told them later that I needed some sleep, and I got to feed my pups.
My husband was angry because the nurse and Andrew’s father, Mr. Bradford, told them to get and I needed some rest.
They weren’t budging. Until I told them to leave nicely, or I won’t be giving any more kisses for a month.
They all agree and give me a big kiss that reaches down to my core.
Damn them, and they did that on purpose.
” They’re my babies; mommy got you; I was talking to them, rocking and feeding them simultaneously.
I was tired, but I wanted to make sure they were alright and eating and taken care of.
“Wake up, sweetheart,” I heard my mother’s voice.
I opened up my eyes slowly, and I saw my mother.
Wait in a minute, my eyes open?
“Mommy,” I said with a sleepy voice.
She smiled down at me. Then I thought of something. I started to panic because I had fallen asleep with my babies.
“Hey, it’s okay, Avery; you didn’t fall asleep with Sophia and Alexender. You had put them down before you doze off.
What? How did she know that I doze off?
You want to know how I know?” A mother thing. She tells me.
And I walked in the down before you saw me. So, I knew you’re going to be a great mother.” She says with a teary smile.
” Oh, good, I thought I hurt them or worse, losing them by dropping them on the floor,” I told her with worry and panic.
” No, you’re going to be a great mother to your baby boy and baby girl.” She tells me.
“Mom, I am scared; what if I am not a good mother to my children.” What if the guys leave me and take my babies because I wasn’t taking care of my twins,” I told my mom about my fears.
No, sweetheart, that’s not going to happen. Your, my daughter, and I know you would never hurt my grandbabies,” she tells me.
If you’re like me, you won’t let anyone hurt your babies because the one you will protect them, and you would kill and die for them as I would for you and Edward.” she said with a strange look in her eyes. I know she was serious.
So, I believe her.
I am thankful for a wonderful mom and dad who loves me and my brother. So, I thank God for the people I have that love me in my life. But then look down in my arms and see my baby’s sleeping face. I knew I was content and happy that I got my babies. I had already fallen in love with them when I felt them inside my belly.
I would sing and talk to my babies.
I was ready for them to come out in the world so I could hold them and love them. I smiled, thinking about that.
But I can breathe knowing I am going to be a great mom. My mom said.
I let a breath I was holding in. I let it out.
I feel better than my mom had this talk with me.
Now, she clapped her hands together and rubbed them.
” Now, who’s hungry.” She asked with a smile on her face
That was when I saw it.
She lifted a plate with her famous chocolate chip cookies I loved as a child.
Three days later…
I want to go home, I thought.
“When I am going home, doctor!” I ask with a pout.
I asked my father-in-law.
Soon daughter, real soon. You have to do one more test on the babies, and you all can go home!” He said with his hands up in the air. It’s like it was a release for him. I won’t be in here bitching at him.
“Well, I love you too, dad!” I told him with my arms crossed over my chest with me pouting.
“All now, don’t do that now.” I heard him say.
“I do love you, Avery; just have patience.” He told me that he wanted me out of here and away from his hospital by saying a lovely way.
I let out a sigh, and he got up, kissed my forehead, and walked out the door.
Two days later… Still in the hospital.
One day later…
Finally! I am going home. Thank God. I told myself.
I hated being in the hospital and not being able to sleep in my bed with my husband. So, we had it made to fit five people in one bedroom.
When we went to the bed store, we told the sales lady we needed a big bed.
She gave us a weird look and walked away.
That was a fun day and funny. That was when we got here with the twins.
I thought with a smirk.
I was thinking about how wonderful it will be sleeping in my bed again with my mates.
I can just feel it on my sore back.

So, I did what I was told. I got in the chair. I had been wheeled the rest of the way to the car.
I thank God we got my car. I don’t think I could lift in one of my husband’s trucks.
“We’re all set.” I heard my husband say.
I am in the back, holding my babies in my arms and looking down at their tiny rosy cheeks.
I can’t believe I am holding my babies.
At last, they are here, and I have my wonderful husband.
Once upon a time, I almost didn’t have this.
In school, I was the quiet nobody no one cared to pay attention to but only teased and hurt.
And now I am with my beautiful babies and my husband, that loves me.
“Avery, sweetheart, what’s wrong,” Andrew said in the driver’s seat. He got to drive us home. They drew strings, and he won.
So, I got my profound and happy husband driving our babies and me home. I bet the guys are pouting. But I bet they will try to find a way to get back at Andrew.

I looked down by my bed. I saw two small faces with their eyes opened and staring up at me with their crazy blue eyes.
They have the mix of mine and their dad’s. That was when I saw them stop crying.
“Well, hello there, my sweet babies,” I told them with a sweet smile.
Mommy’s babies hungry,” I ask them. They both started moving around, saying yes, they were hungry.
