“Ulric, have you gone mad? Aren’t you afraid she’ll accuse your mother of murder?!” Sirena shouted, her loud voice echoing. Ulric took a step back, his expression indifferent.
“Rosalind, I’ve done what I promised you.”
What he had hoped for, if not obtained, he let it go.
After speaking, Ulric turned and returned to the car, leaving without any hesitation.
Rosalind’s gaze followed the car as Sirena suddenly burst into laughter.
“Ulric, oh Ulric, my whole life is ruined because of you. I never thought you would also have someone you couldn’t have! How wonderful, how wonderful! It’s karma! It seems that not only am I crazy, but you are even crazier than me!”
Rosalind turned her face away, her calm eyes filled with hatred.
“Sirena, Ulric handed you over to me, along with all the videos. This time, you won’t get away with it!”
“Hah.” Sirena sneered, “What can you do with those videos? Let me tell you. I intentionally gave them to you! Just wait and see if those videos can help you overturn your mother’s murder case and bring down the Walters family!”
“According to your plan, these videos will be destroyed and disappear, right?”
Sirena’s expression froze. “How did you…”
“The copies Ulric gave me were the ones he had processed.”
She instantly felt weak in the knees and leaned against the iron railing to barely stand. “It’s impossible! Ulric couldn’t have done this! It was his mother who orchestrated this, his own mother! Ulric couldn’t possibly be unaware that this is murder, a capital offense!”
Not only would his mother be sentenced to jail, but this matter would also have immeasurable consequences for W Group!
Ulric’s actions were nothing short of self-destruction.
“Besides him, who else could have done this?”
Rosalind closed her eyes and steadied her emotions before speaking hoarsely, “When you all believed that power could surpass human life, did you ever think about facing the consequences? My mother has been bedridden for years. She hadn’t even met Ulric’s mother but died at the hands of both of you!”
She dared not imagine how desperate and helpless her mother must have felt when she died, with no loved ones by her side.
As a daughter, Rosalind didn’t even get to see her mother one last time!
“I don’t believe it. You must be lying to me!” Sirena couldn’t accept this.
She thought Ulric would do everything to protect his mother so to prevent her from revealing the truth to the outside world, he would keep the truth of this matter hidden forever, thereby also protecting her.
Even if she wouldn’t be able to have Ulric anymore, she could still keep her life.
“You’ll find out in court.”
Rosalind was about to leave.
But Sirena stopped her with a shout. “Rosalind, I really want to know if you truly love Ulric!”
Rosalind’s body stiffened as she pursed her lips in silence.
“If he knew that you’ve had a mental disorder and can’t truly love someone, he would have never liked you from the beginning!”
“Even if he doesn’t like me, he won’t like you either.”
“He would! Ulric just loved the wrong person! Rosalind, you never understand what Ulric wants. He wants your unwavering trust and unconditional love. You can’t do it. You can never do it. The only person who understands him is me!”
