Aria
For a moment, I froze. My brain short-circuits as I process what’s happening. Lucas? Here? What the actual hell.
Jay’s still busy trailing kisses along my neck like a horny bee, but all I can think about is the storm brewing in Lucas’s eyes as he marches toward us.
“What’s this?” His voice slices through the air, cold and sharp. Jay jerks away like someone poured ice water down his back, and I’m left standing there, blinking at Lucas.
I should say something. Anything. Instead, I just glare at him, trying to ignore the way my heart feels like it’s attempting parkour in my chest. His friends are behind him, looking equally pissed. Like, what’s their fucking deal? Did they all decide to make my life a collective problem?
“You’re… Alpha Lucas, right?” Jay starts, his voice shaking just a little.
Lucas doesn’t let him finish. “What the fuck are you doing with my girlfriend?”
Oh, for fuck’s sake. Girlfriend? Didn’t he just remind me like, yesterday, that this whole thing is fake? I roll my eyes so hard I practically sprain them.
Jay, to his credit, grins cockily. “Sorry, man, but I don’t think she’s your girl. I mean, we literally just kissed.”
I bite back a laugh. Oh, he’s bold. Or stupid. Maybe both.
“Get out of here,” Lucas says, calm as hell. Too calm. The kind of calm that makes you nervous.
I step in front of Jay, crossing my arms. “He’s with me, Alpha Lucas.”
“One,” Lucas starts counting, his voice steady but his eyes flashing gold. Uh-oh.
“You have no right!” I snap, but my voice wavers. Ugh. Way to sound confident, Aria.
“Yeah, dude, chill-” Jay starts, but Lucas doesn’t let him finish.
“Two.” His voice is deadly now, and I swear his wolf is about to rip out of him.
Jay still hasn’t moved. Again, either he’s brave or a total idiot.
“Three.”
And just like that, chaos erupts. Lucas’s friends grab Jay faster than I can blink, dragging him toward Lucas, who lands a punch straight to his face.
“What the fuck?!” I scream, but Lucas continues throwing more punches. Jay tries to fight back, but the poor guy’s way out of his league.
“Alpha Lucas, stop! You’re insane!” I yell, trying to push past his hulking friends, but Damon blocks me. He looks way too amused for my liking.
Then it happens. Lucas grabs Jay and, with zero effort, hurls him straight into the water.
“FUCK! Are you serious?!” I shout, my voice joining the chorus of gasps from the crowd that’s gathered. People are snapping pictures like this is some kind of action movie premiere.
Lucas doesn’t even flinch. He just turns to me, his face a mix of fury and something else I can’t place. Without a word, he grabs my arm, rough and firm.
“Let me go!” I yell, yanking against his grip, but it’s like trying to fight a steel beam. He pulls me through the ship, past cabins and gawking passengers, until we reach a random door. He kicks it open, and inside are two guys smoking pot at a table.
“Get the fuck out,” Lucas growls.
They don’t even argue. They scramble out so fast, one of them leaves his joint behind. What is he, the ultimate Alpha king?
Before I can fully process what’s happening, Lucas shoves me against the wall and pins my hands above my head.
“What the fuck was that?” His voice is low, deadly, and his eyes bore into mine like he’s trying to read my soul.
“What the fuck was what?!” I snap back, even though my legs are shaking. “You don’t own me, Lucas!”
“Clearly, I have to remind you,” he growls, his face inches from mine. His breath is hot against my cheek, and I hate that my body reacts, my wolf practically purring in my head.
“Remind me of what? That you’re an overbearing, controlling asshole?”
His lips twitch, like he’s fighting a smirk. “No, Aria. That you’re mine.”
Oh, hell no.
“Remember, this is fake, right?” I throw at him with a cocky grin, trying to keep my cool.
He snorts, clearly unimpressed. “Don’t test me, Aria.”
Oh, the dangerous tone in his voice is hard to ignore, but I push on. “Why? You were out there fucking some chick, while I was losing my fucking mind? And then you storm in here over a kiss. Just a kiss!”
“I didn’t fuck her,” he bites out, and his jaw tightens.
My brows crease in confusion. “Then why… Why did it hurt?”
His sigh is heavy, and his eyes meet mine with a mix of frustration and guilt. “She sucked my cock. That’s all.”
I let out a disbelieving laugh, my anger bubbling up again. “Oh, congrats. A standing ovation for not screwing her. She just sucked your cock. Bravo, Alpha Lucas. Well, guess what? I want my turn too.”
“What?” He stares at me like I’ve lost it.
“You heard me. I want Jay to eat my pussy out. Fair’s fair, right?” I shrug, daring him to challenge me.
The low growl that escapes his throat is enough to send a chill down my spine. “Shut the fuck up, Aria.”
“Why? You get to do whatever you want, but I can’t?”
“No, you can’t,” he snaps, “you’re not allowed to.”
I roll my eyes. “Well, newsflash, I don’t take orders from you.”
“Aria, if you want me to fuck you, say the word. But don’t you dare catch feelings for me.”
I let out a bitter laugh, my heart racing despite myself. “Who says I want to fuck you?”
His lips curve into that infuriatingly smug grin. “Your body, sweetheart. I can smell your arousal from a mile away. You’re practically begging for me. You belong to me.”
“Lies,” I snap, but my resolve falters as his grin widens.
“Maybe you need a lesson,” he murmurs before crashing his lips onto mine in a kiss that’s all fire and fury. My brain freezes as his fingers travel under my skirt, and with one swift motion, he rips off my panties like they’re paper.
