The second we step into the bar, I let out a long-ass sigh of relief. Finally, some breathing room away from all the party chaos and… Aria. Not that she was chaos, but the look she gave me earlier when I told her I was horny and bailed? Yeah, my wolf’s been pacing ever since. That tiny flicker of guilt keeps poking at me, like, what if she’s catching feelings? Goddess, I hope not. That wasn’t part of the plan.
We grab a table, and Damon wastes no time ordering beers like the frat bro he is. Theo’s already clocked my mood as always.
“Yo, man,” Theo leans in, eyebrows raised. “You good? Did Aria say something?”
“Nah, we’re fine,” I sigh, taking a long swig of my beer. “I’m just so fucking horny right now.”
Damon whistles, smirking. “How many days has it been?”
“Days?” Theo scoffs, rolling his eyes. “It’s been, like, a single night for you, man. Calm down.”
“One night or one year, it doesn’t matter,” I mutter, setting my beer down with a loud thunk. “I can’t do this. I need to fuck.”
Theo shakes his head. “What about Aria, though?”
“Nah,” I shrug like it’s nothing. “She’s not ready. I’m giving her time. Then I’m gonna fuck her senseless.”
Theo’s face? Pure disappointment. “Come on, Lucas. Don’t do that to her. She’s innocent.”
“And what? You think she doesn’t want me? She’s shy, that’s all.” I smirk because, deep down, I know it’s true. Aria’s got those big, doe eyes that scream kiss me, but don’t make it obvious.
“Exactly,” Damon chimes in, grinning like a fool. “Same with Mia. That girl’s totally dying to jump my bones. She just doesn’t know it yet.”
“Mia?” Theo nearly spits out his beer, laughing. “Yeah, right. That girl hates your guts.”
“She doesn’t hate me!” Damon snaps, glaring. “You don’t know shit about girls.”
“Enough to know when they don’t like you,” Theo fires back.
I shake my head, trying not to laugh as they bicker like kids fighting over the last Pop-Tart. These idiots kill me.
The day drags on, the bar gets packed, and finally, the real fun begins. Hot chicks everywhere. My eyes lock on a blonde at the bar with an ass that could rival J. Lo’s.
“That’s my cue,” I smile, standing up.
Theo looks skeptical. “You’re really doing this?”
“Yup.”
“She’s your mate, man.”
I freeze for a second, and my jaw tightens. “It doesn’t fucking matter,” I snap. “Fake dating, remember? Don’t bring up that mate bond shit.”
“Sorry, Alpha.” Theo mutters, looking down. He knows damn well why I don’t buy into the mate thing anymore-not after what happened to my mom.
I leave them and approach the blonde. “Hey there, cutie,” I greet, leaning against the wall like a goddamn Calvin Klein model.
She turns, and-oh, fuck-I recognize her immediately. Katie. We met at a party once.
“Alpha Lucas,” she smirks, crossing her arms. “So, it’s you. I waited for you at the hotel last week, and you never showed up.”
“Oh, that,” I clear my throat, scratching the back of my neck. “Got busy. But I’m here now.” And then I flash her my signature smile, the one that’s gotten me out of difficult situations and into beds.
She smiles, trailing a finger down my jaw. “I heard rumors you have a girlfriend on this ship.”
“Rumors,” I scoff smoothly, leaning closer. “Nothing to worry about.”
Her lips curl into a sly grin as she whispers seductively, “Good. Because I’ve been waiting to worship your cock.”
Damn, this girl is direct. I wrap my arm around her, pulling her closer. She smells good…real good. But then, out of nowhere, Aria’s scent pops into my head. Vanilla, lavender, soft as hell.
What the actual fuck? I shake it off and focus on Katie. “Come on, Katie.”
Her face drops. “It’s Kara.”
“Right. Kara.” I mentally roll my eyes as I lead her out of the bar. Glancing back at my table, I catch Theo looking like he wants to lecture me and Damon grinning like a proud dad.
Time to get my head in the game and out of this weird Aria guilt trip.
I lead Kara to one of the cabins I rented specifically for my sexcapades. The second I close the door, Kara’s all over me, her hands grabbing at my shirt, her lips crashing against mine like she’s auditioning for a steamy Netflix drama.
“I want you so bad, Alpha,” she whispers, voice dripping with need. “I want you to fuck me hard into oblivion.”
Well, who am I to deny a lady her request?
“Knees. Now.” My voice is sharp, commanding, and her eyes light up like she’s been waiting for this moment all her life.
She drops, and I take my time undoing my belt. Her hands are trembling as she reaches for me, her fingers wrapping around me like I’m the Holy Grail.
“I’m gonna make you feel so good, Daddy,” she moans, and I let out a groan.
Fuck, she’s good-too good. Her mouth is hot around my cock, her tongue wicked, but my wolf is pacing in the back of my mind, growling like he’s ready to tear the place apart. Not her. This isn’t right. I ignore him. Push him down. This is about me right now, not some mate bond bullshit.
But the fucker won’t shut up. He’s pissed. Furious, even.
Not her. Not her. He keeps repeating.
“Fuck… fuck,” I mutter, tugging her hair hard as she works me like a damn pro. The moment I cum, she swallows every drop, looking up at me with a satisfied grin.
I pull her up roughly, toss her onto the bed like she’s nothing more than a fucking toy. Her dress is up, her wet panties are next, but then-
Pain. Sharp, stabbing pain right in my chest.
Fuck!
I stumble back, clutching my head as dizziness hits me like a truck.
“Alpha? Are you okay?” Kara-or Katie, or whatever the fuck her name is asks, worried.
“Get out,” I growl loudly.
“But-”
“I said, get the fuck out!” My voice is cold, and she scrambles for her clothes, practically tripping over herself on the way out.
I sit on the bed, head in my hands. What the fuck is wrong with me? I adjust my pants and head to the bathroom to wash my face and clean up. I try reaching out to my wolf, but the bastard’s giving me the silent treatment. Traitor.
I decide it’s best to head back to the suite and maybe crash for a bit, hoping this weird feeling goes away. I arrive and open the door. But stepping inside, I freeze.
Aria’s on the floor, clutching her stomach, tears streaming down her face.
“Aria!” My voice cracks as I rush to her side.
