Aria
My pulse spikes. “What main event?”
“PDA,” he says casually, his eyes darting to my lips. “I’m gonna kiss you.”
“What?” I practically choke.
“Relax,” he says with a smirk. “You wanna piss them off, don’t you?”
I glance at Ethan and Vanessa, who look like they’re about to implode. My wolf, Gail, is practically howling in my head, and I know this is dangerous territory. But I nod anyway, taking a deep breath. And because I’m clearly a masochist, I let him lean in.
Holy. Shit.
The second his lips touch mine, it’s like the Fourth of July goes off in my chest. Sparks, fireworks-hell, maybe even a nuclear explosion. His lips are soft but insistent, and when his tongue brushes against mine, it’s like my whole body goes up in flames. My hands clutch his shirt, and I forget about Ethan, Vanessa, the ship…everything.
All I care about is the way his mouth moves against mine, confident and demanding, like he owns me.
Fuck!
When he finally pulls back, I’m a panting, blushing mess. Meanwhile, Lucas has the audacity to act like nothing happened.
He picks up his tea and casually takes a sip, while I sit there trying not to combust. My brain? Gone. My body? On fire. All I can think about are his lips, the way they felt against mine, setting me ablaze. I fucking want more. I want to feel his mouth on my skin…. underneath my thighs, his fingers gripping my wet pussy, his strong arms pinning me against him as he thrusts into me and fuck me to oblivion.
I wanna fuck him so bad!
No. This can’t be happening. Not from a kiss. Gail, please… not again, I plead with my wolf, desperate for control. My hands shake as I grab a glass of water and gulp it down.
“You okay, girlfriend?” Lucas asks, smirking like he knows exactly what’s going on in my head.
“I’m fine,” I fan myself and laugh awkwardly. “Just…hot in here.”
He raises an eyebrow. “It’s literally freezing. The AC is blasting.”
I glare at him, but he leans in further, and his scent hits me like a drug-intoxicating, overwhelming. My thighs clench, and my panties are fucking soaked with desire.
Even his scent has this much effect on me? I’m so fucking screwed.
“Don’t lie to me, princess,” he murmurs in a low and dangerous tone. “I can smell your arousal.”
Oh, goddess. Kill me now.
His words, his tone.. it’s too much. My stomach flips. Why did I agree to play this dangerous game with him?
“Remember, this is all a game-no strings attached,” he murmurs, his lips brushing against my ear. “But I get it.. you don’t have to fight it. Just give in to me. I’ll fuck you good and make you cum so many times you’ll forget your own name.”
That’s it. I’m fucking out. I jump to my feet, nearly knocking over the table. “I-I need to go to the restroom,” I bolt, catching the confused look on Ethan’s face as I flee.
Behind me, I hear Lucas snicker. “You want me to follow you, girlfriend?” he calls out, the smug grin evident in his voice.
But I ignore his ass.
Great. Just great. Now I’m a flustered, fucking horny mess on a cruise ship with no escape. What the hell have I gotten myself into?
I rush into the restroom, barely able to catch my breath. The door slams behind me, and I immediately start washing my face like a madwoman. Cold water splashes on my face, but it’s useless. I’m still on fire. I stare at myself in the mirror, flushed and a mess. My lips are still tingling from that damn kiss.
“What the hell is wrong with me?” I whisper, my voice shaky. Seriously, I’ve been dating that idiot Ethan for months, and I’ve never felt this.. this-crazy. But Lucas? One sniff of his damn scent, and my panties are soaking wet. That’s the kind of power this guy has over me, and I’m not sure if I want to be terrified or turn into a puddle right here.
I need to snap out of it. He’s a playboy, a man-whore, a walking disaster. For goddess’ sake, he just told me this was all a game not five minutes ago!
I am so screwed.
Just as I start to calm down-well, try to-there’s a knock at the door. I stiffen. I do NOT want anyone to see me right now. I’m embarrassed enough already. But then the door swings open and I let out a massive sigh of relief. It’s just my girls.
“Oh my fucking goddess,” Mia says, eyes wide as she looks me over. “Aria.. your dress. You look…”
Ridiculous, I think, but she cuts me off before I can say anything.
“Absolutely beautiful!” Mia finishes, her grin lighting up like a damn Christmas tree.
“Really, guys?” I ask, trying not to let my face get any redder than it already is.
“Yes! You’re killing it! Everyone’s talking about you and Alpha Lucas,” Lily chimes in, practically bouncing with excitement. “Like, everyone.”
Mia’s eyes narrow in on me, and I know where this is going. She smirks. “First off, where did you get that gorgeous dress? And secondly-how was the kiss?”
“Alpha Lucas got it for me at some fancy boutique,” I mumble, trying not to sound too ridiculous.
Mia’s eyes go wide. “It must’ve cost a fortune.” She looks at me like I’ve just won the lottery. Mia’s a fashion freak, unlike me. She loves wearing tight clothes that show off her curvaceous hips, while Lily prefers simple crop tops and short pleated skirts. Both of them are way better than me when it comes to fashion.
But could you blame me? I’m just a poor pack rat.
“Now, tell us about the kiss,” Lily says.
I feel my cheeks heat up when she reminds me of it again. I am SO NOT ready for this conversation. “Um, the kiss? Well… horrible,” I blurt out quickly, waving my hand like I can just erase the whole thing from my memory.
Mia’s face scrunches up. “The kiss was
horrible?”
“No! Not that! It’s just… I’m a mess, okay?” I bury my face in my hands, embarrassed as hell. “I can’t control myself anymore, guys!”
“What are you saying?” Mia looks confused.
“I wanna fuck him so hard until my back breaks!” I exclaim, and my friends let out a collective “ooo.”
They exchange looks before Lily raises her hand like she’s in class. “Don’t worry, girl. We’ve all been there. Lucas is a walking sex god. Like, he’s probably the reason half of the world’s population is still single.”
“Lily’s right, Aria-it’s no wonder girls would kill to fuck him.”
I can’t help but let out a nervous laugh. “What do I do, guys? Your girl is losing the damn plot…”
“Relax, babe,” Lily starts, but then freezes when the door swings open roughly.
And guess who decides to waltz in, ruining my life once again? Ethan. Of course.
“What the hell are you doing here?” I ask, narrowing my eyes. Ethan, looking like a walking bruise of man-pain, glares at me while two of his foolish friends stand behind him.
“Get out. Both of you,” he barks at my friends, pointing at them like they’re a couple of stray dogs. They just stare at him, not moving.
“Are you disobeying your Alpha?” he growls, narrowing his eyes as if this is somehow his territory.
“Just go, guys,” I beg softly. “I don’t want you to get in trouble because of me.”
Lily shoots me a sympathetic look and mutters, “I’ll be outside.” But Mia? Mia stands her ground.
“No, I’m not leaving you alone,” she says, crossing her arms like she’s some kind of superhero.
Ethan growls, clearly done with this conversation, and both of his friends grab Mia and shoves her toward the door.
“Don’t hurt her, you fools!” I yell, but they ignore me and slam the door shut, leaving me alone with Ethan.
He steps toward me, suffocating with his presence. “What do you think you’re doing?” he sneers, backing me up against the wall. “How dare you fucking mess with me?!”
