Book:Blind Date With Mr Arrogant Published:2025-3-31

SHAWN’S POV
He was shocked as she took over the kiss. She ravaged his mouth with the hunger of a baby that was starved of breast milk.
On instincts, he took over the kiss, gaining dominance over her mouth. He pumped his tongue in and out of her mouth, trying to quench the strange burning desire inside of him.
She surprisingly matched his energy in a way he didn’t expect. He was about to reach for her breasts when the flashlight of a car shone on their car widescreen.
They quickly disengaged in embarrassment as a man with a Torchlight walked towards me.
“Are you okay? Sir and Ma?” The man who turned out to be police asked.
It was then Shawn looked further and saw the police van parked in front of them. How did they not notice the police presence?
“Yes, yes, everything is fine.” Shawn replied, embarrassed.
“This road is dangerous at this time of the night. You shouldn’t be parked here.” The policeman said.
“Thank you for your concern. We will leave now.” Shawn said.
“Alright, then. But to ensure you are okay, we will tail behind until you leave this area. Is that okay?” The policeman asked.
“Yes, it is. We appreciate your concern.” Shawn replied and turned on the car’s ignition.
He drove off, while the police van tailed behind. They finally got to the estate gate and he bid them goodbye.
“Thank you for following us to this point. We stay in this estate and we will be driving in now.” Shawn said.
“Oh, that’s fine. Be careful next time.” The policeman said and zoomed off.
Shawn sighed in relief as he drove into the estate street. Soon, they arrive at home.
He turned to Tiffany only to see her fast asleep, her face looking so pure and innocent. Deciding not to wake her up, he alighted from the car and walked over to side of the car she was sitted.
He opened the door and carried her out in bridal style. He used his leg to shut the door. Then he carried her inside.
As he ascended the stairs, she stirred and hung her hands around his shoulders. He smiled at her childish gesture.
Soon, he got to her room and carefully laid her on the bed. Then he took off her shoes and placed them on the shoe rack.
He suddenly remembered her purse and the gift his mother gave her and hurried downstairs to get it from the car. He got the purse and gift box before returning to her room. She had stirred and changed her position on the bed.
He was so captivated at how she looked beautiful while asleep. And against his will, he leaned over and pecked her cheek muttering a low “Good night.”
He walked to the door and tuned to cast her one last look before heading out.
He got to his own room and stripped himself off every clothing on his body. Despite the air conditioner, he was still feeling hot and sticky so he opted to have a cold bath.
He got to the bathroom, and as the water cascaded down his naked body, he had flashes of their kiss in the car.
He could still taste her in his tongue. She smelt and tasted like strawberry, and just the thought of that made him hard.
“Get a grip of yourself.” He chided himself as he tried to block the thoughts from his head.
After bathing, he walked to his wardrobe and put on pyjamas before getting on the bed.
He still couldn’t sleep because thoughts of her kept plaquing his mind and he kept tossing on the bed. Maybe, kissing her was a bad idea.
And as he drifted into a turbulent sleep, he made a vow not to kiss her again.
TIFFANY’S POV
She woke up the next morning and looked around to find herself on her bed. She was confused as she doesn’t remember getting to her room last night.
She looked at her table and saw her purse and the box of perfume Mrs Gold gifted her. That was when realization dawned on her, she had fallen asleep in the car after their encounter with the police.
Shawn must have brought her to her room last night while she was asleep. Speaking of Shawn, her cheeks turned a hue of color.
Memories of their kiss flooded her mind as she blushed harder. She was jerked out of her reverie by the ringing of her phone. She hurriedly took it out of her purse and saw that it was Freya calling.
“Where in heaven’s name are you Tiffany?” Freya’s shrill voice sounded on the phone.
“I’m at home of course.” Tiffany retorted
“At home you say? By this time? English class is starting in thirty minutes!” Freya berated.
Tiffany suddenly looked up at the clock and saw it was 7:30 am in the morning. “Damn! Damn! I didn’t realize this was the time.” She yelled as she got off the bed.
She ran into the bath without ending the call with Freya. She had just thirty minutes to prepare and get to school. By the heavens, she doesn’t know how, but she knows she has to. Mrs Gregory the English teacher never lets anyone into her class once she is inside.
She was soon done bathing and hurriedly dressed up. She styled her hair in a messy bun and grabbed her school bag. She opened a drawer and took out her credit card before rushing out of the room, and skating down the stairs.
After driving at a high speed for about five minutes, she got to school. She hurried out of the car and ran towards her class. She saw Mrs Gregory walking towards the class as she overtook her, running into the class with speed.
“Thank your stars.” Freya said to her and she took her seat.
“I know, right?” Tiffany replied, heaving a sigh of relief.
“Miss Dion? Thank your stars.” Mrs Gregory said as she got into the class.
Tiffany turned to Freya and they both laughed low times.
They had a few more classes before recess, and Tiffany heaved a sigh as she walked out of the class with Freya. She had missed breakfast and was so hungry, she could faint if she didn’t eat something.
“Why the hell did you come to school late?” Freya queried as they walked to the cafeteria together.
Tiffany was about to reply when she saw Oscar and her face hardened. “Freya, go on. I will meet you at the cafeteria.”
“But, why?” Freya asked, confused.
“Just go on. I will tell you later.” Tiffany said, as she knew that was the only way Freya would go on without her.
“Fine. Just make sure you tell me what this is about.” Freya said, before walking ahead.
“Hey.” She called out to Oscar as he got close to her.
“Hey, Tiffany. Congratulations on winning the spelling bee competition.” Oscar said cheerfully.
“Oh please, drop your fake friendliness. Why did you send those pictures?” Tiffany asked.
“What pictures?” Oscar asked, looking confused.
“Can you just stop with the acting? You took advantage of my vulnerable moment, took suggestive pictures of us, and sent it to my fiance. Now, I don’t know how you did it because I don’t remember seeing you with a phone or seeing you take the pictures, but you took the pictures anyway. How did you do it? How did you even get his number? How did you pull everything off? Wait…are you working for someone?” Tiffany said, all at once.
“You have to take a chill pill, okay. I don’t even understand what you are talking about. How was I supposed to take pictures when I was busy comforting you? I don’t even know this fiance of yours. What the hell, Tiffany? All I did was be a shoulder you leaned on and cried on, and here you are, accusing me of something I know nothing about. You rich people are so ungrateful!” Oscar said.
“If you didn’t, then who did it?” Tiffany asked, confused.
“Wait, if I understand what you are saying. Someone took pictures of us when you were crying on my shoulder and sent it to your fiance?” Oscar asked.
“Yes.” Tiffany replied.
“And you think that person is me? I don’t know much about you, but I think you have a lot of enemies in this school. And please, don’t try to pin this on me.” Oscar said, before walking off.
“Wait…I’m sorry.” She said, but he was already out of earshot.
“What have I done?” She muttered as she pulled her head in frustration.
Looking around, she noticed some students were looking at her strangely, and to avoid more suspicious glances, she walked to the cafeteria to join her friends.
