SHAWN’S POV
He got home from playing poker and found out that Tiffany was not yet home. He got worried because it was past closing time for highschools.
Was she mad at him and had gone home, despite his apology offering? A lot of thoughts ran through his mind.
He was still in deep thought when his phone rang. Looking at the caller’s ID and realizing it was Mr. Dion got his heart skipping a beat. She must have gone home, because how else does he explain Mr Dion’s sudden call?
He hesitated before picking the call, but after the first ring, he summoned courage and picked the call.
“Good day Mr Dion.” He greeted, bracing himself for some scolding. But the reverse was the case when Mr Dion told Him about Tiffany’s detention in school.
Without a second thought he agreed to go pick her up. Because, why not? It would serve as the avenue he needed to gain her forgiveness. Show up in school as the Messiah and save her.
After the call with Mr Dion ended, he didn’t bother Changing out of his clothes. He just got his car key and hurried out of the house.
MARY’S POV
She smiled inwardly as Tiffany burst into tears in the detention room. Exactly what she wanted. To see the almighty Tiffany Dion in trouble and crying like a toddler.
She almost felt like breaking into a maniacal laugh, but thought against it. She doesn’t mind being in the detention room as long as Tiffany Dion was there with her.
She would do everything possible to make things unbearable for her. Yes, she is jealous of Tiffany Dion and she is not ashamed of it. She can’t be like her, but she sure can make life hard for her.
TIFFANY’S POV
Their detention time was over and they were sent back to the principal’s office to call their parents to come over and get them and as well sign an undertaking on their behalf.
She felt ashamed that her father had to come to school because she got into trouble.
She hung her head low as she stood with Mary, Freya, and Timothy waiting for their parents to arrive.
Her legs were already hurting from standing for too long when a knock on the door sounded, as Mrs Campbell asked the person to come in.
Everyone in the room’s mouth hung open, as Shawn Gold stepped into the room exuding power and authority.
“Good day, Mrs.” He greeted Mrs Campbell, his eyes focused on Tiffany.
“Good day, Mr Gold. It’s a pleasure having you here.” Mrs Campbell said sweetly.
“On the contrary, I can’t say it’s a pleasure meeting you.” He said.
Mrs Campbell’s eyes widened and she quickly put on a smile. “Why Is it so, Mr Gold?”
“You had my Fiance here…,” He went to wrap his hands around Tiffany’s waist, “detained until this time.”
“It was not intentional, Mr Gold. Tiffany here, and her friends got into a fight with Mary.” She explained, pointing at Mary.
“And they were all detained. But we apologize for the inconvenience.” She continued.
“Can I have the undertaking now?” Shawn asked not interested in the details.
“Sure. Here.” She handed him the paper and he signed, passed it to Tiffany and she signed in the part that required her signature.
“I guess we are done here.” Shawn said.
“Yes. You can leave with her. And Tiffy, I didn’t know you were engaged to Vancouver’s top 3 youngest billionaires.” Mrs Campbell said, beaming with smiles.
“I am.” She replied, trying so hard not to roll her eyes.
“You guys will be fine, right?” She asked, hugging Timothy and Freya.
They nodded as they returned the hug.
“ummm…Mr Gold, Can you please sign on my hand?” Mary suddenly asked.
Shawn stared at her and then at Tiffany, he was shocked when Tiffany gave him a sign not to. “Maybe next time.” He said and held Tiffany’s hand as they both walked out of the office.
He left her hand as soon as they got outside the office. They walked in silence to his car.
“I can’t join you in your car. Who will drive mine home?” Tiffany suddenly asked.
“Get into the car. I will send someone to bring it back.” Shawn ordered.
She reluctantly got into the car, and he drove out of the school compound.
“Did you get my package earlier today?” He asked, looking at her through The rearview mirror.
“Yes, I did. Thank you.” She replied.
“So, am I forgiven?”
“Yes, you are. And thank you for coming to my rescue.”
“You are welcome. Your Dad called and told me about what happened.” Shawn explained.
“I am not a troublemaker. Believe me, all I did was try to separate the fight.” Tiffany said sobering up.
“Calm down. Why were you then detained?”
“Mary, the girl that asked for your signature lied that I pulled her hair. But believe me, I didn’t.”
“Oh! Was that why you didn’t want me to sign on her hand?” Shawn asked, amused.
“Yes.” Tiffany replied, looking down at her nails.
Shawn chuckled before looking back at the road. They arrived home and got inside.
Tiffany went up to her room to freshen up, while Shawn went to his.
TIFFANY’S POV
She had never seen that side of Shawn beforeUnderstanding and tolerating. It almost felt like he was a stranger in his own body.
But then, she was grateful he showed up and saved her. She sincerely wished he would continue in that manner.
After freshening up, she went downstairs in search of food. She met Shawn at the dinning, a large box of pizza on the table.
“You are down. I was about to call you. I ordered pizza.” He said pointing at the box.
“That Was very thoughtful of you, because I am starving. Thank you.” she said politely, taking her seat.
He uncovered the box, took a knife and cut out a reasonable quantity for himself and Tiffany. He placed it on a platter and went ahead to cut it into smaller sizes before placing them on their plates.
“Here, have yours,” he said, pushing her plate towards her. “You can have more if it is not enough.” He added.
“Thank you.” She replied. And they fell silent each person busy with their meal.
“Lest, I forget, let me call my mechanic to go pick up the car at your school.” Shawn said, reaching for his phone.
“That Reminds me too, I should call my father to send our driver to bring my car.” Tiffany said.
“You don’t have to. You can keep the car.” Shawn Said.
“What?” Tiffany asked in disbelief.
“I said you can keep it. You are my fiance and soon, you will be my wife. Which means my cars are yours too.”
“Hello, Mark. I need you to pick up a car at Shines high school. You remember my Ferrari sports car? Yes, that one. Thank you.” Shawn spoke into the phone.
“He will get the car and it has automatically become yours.” Shawn said, resuming eating.
“Thank you so much.” Tiffany said.
“It’s nothing. That reminds me, we are going to register our marriage this Saturday…
