CHAPTER 32

Book:Mine, Peaches Published:2025-3-31

PIETRO GIACOMETTI
I watched from a distance as Peaches went through the clothing items, checking and dropping. She had been doing so for over five minutes now and she had picked absolutely nothing.
Each time, her eyes would light up in delight and then she’d check the price tag and drop it quickly with a slight head shake.
“Boss.” Finn called.
“I got the information on Dylan Donovic already and I think you will definitely be interested in this.” Finn handed the tablet to me and I tore my gaze off Peaches for a second.
“I ran a casual check on him and there was nothing special but when I looked into his work life, I found out it wasn’t as casual as it seemed. He is involved in a small assassination and petty dirty job business. He leads the small chain along with a woman named Kate Brown. His business has an average rating but looks promising as he has been getting some quite good assassination deals lately and…”
I raised a hand, making Finn stop mid his report. My gaze lifted from the screen and fixated on Peaches. Such a fucked up bastard had been by her side all these while and I had had not a single fucking clue, thinking the bastard was just some casual bastard. She could have gotten hurt from getting associated with that petty bastard and I…
“That little fucker, Vaile” I gritted my teeth. Vaile had been my right hand man before Finn and the fucker had been the one tasked with doing a check on Finn and all he had reported was a random report of a random guy.
My jaws clenched and my hand balled into a fist as the bloodied bag of Vaile’s blood flashed before my eyes. He sure was lucky to have been butchered before I found out this slip up.
Peaches looked away from the row of clothes and her gaze met mine. I watched the light in her eyes flicker as she noticed that intensity in my gaze.
“Here” I handed the tablet back to Finn, looking away from Peaches. I didn’t want her to see the bloodlust or fury in my eyes.
“Get the bastard as soon as possible. I will deal with him personally.” I said to Finn quietly.
“Yes, boss”
Jaws clenched, I swallowed hard and let out a crazy grin to relax mg facial muscles. I wasn’t sure how well the facial relaxation worked but I turned back to face Peaches. She was still looking at me and in her eyes was wariness and… Worry? Was that worry for me in her eyes?
“What’s… What’s going on with you?” She asked as I stopped in front of her.
“Worried about me?” I bent and leaned a little close to her.
“I… Forget about it. I don’t care what is going on with you. Whatever it is, I hope it’s something terrible” She said and turned her face away from me, a stubborn pout on her lips.
I chuckled at the cute, stubborn look on her face.
“You still haven’t picked anything.” I pointed, taking a glance at the lady waiting on her.
“Everything here is too expensive. I could buy an entire store with the price of just one of these dresses.” Peaches grumbled and I groaned, reaching a hand to her face and turning her to face me.
Her brilliant blue eyes flickered up at me and I saw the slight shade of pink creep up her cheeks as she looked into my brown eyes.
“Peaches, I’ve got the money and you know it. Pick whatever you want. Anything. At. All. The entire place, if you wish.” I demanded.
“Fine, I’d pick one…” she slapped my hand off nervously and began hastily going through the clothes and picked out a blue dress eventually.
“This is the least expensive I have found.” She held up the dress like she had just won the gold medal in a competition of finding the cheapest dress available.
“Caily Galileo…” I still hated calling her by the name that bastard had left to her.
“If I let you take charge of this shopping, people are going to think Pietro Giacometti has gone broke.” I grabbed Peaches by the waist and let her struggle for a few seconds against my arm before she calmed with a small huff.
I looked back at the attending lady.
“She’d take everything on this row and the next two rows.”
“Pietro! Some won’t even be my size or suit my body type properly!” She gasped and hit my side.
I pulled my brows into a quite thoughtful look.
“That’s indeed a possibility. We’d take another two rows so we can get more of your size.”
“Pietro! Are you insane?!” Caily hit my side, raining small, cute punches
“Yes sir” The attendant responded.
“Lead us to the jewellery section next.”
“No, no. There’s absolutely no need to get more of…”
“Are you walking or am I carrying you in my arms, Peaches? I won’t really mind carrying you…” My lips curled in a small smirk. I might have to do a lot of carrying around during the days that would follow the first day I fuck this sweet body. I could almost explode just from the anticipation of how hard, how fucking good I would fuck the hell out of my Peaches. I’d fucking render her incapable of using her legs for days. Stopping would not be an option until I fucking pass out right on top of her. The dirty things I’d do with this innocent body, with her innocent soul.
Fuck her. Claim her. Own her. Be owned by her.
“Why… Why are you looking at me with those eyes?” She stuttered, flustered.
CAILY GALILEO
At The Dinner
I chewed slowly, my gaze on my plate. After the entire crazy shopping that Pietro had blown up precious money on, I was overwhelmed to say the least.
“Are we going to continue ignoring everything that happened last night and this morning?” I raised my gaze from my plate to Pietro sitting opposite me. We were using the smaller dinning room and sitting around this small table made us feel close. And I hated it.
“If you want to talk about it, Caily, trust me, I would love to talk about anything with you, especially as it revolves around last night. This morning, not so much though…”
“Your tattoos…” I cut him off, reaching a topic I had been ignoring all day. I had noticed that tattoo on his chest this morning and it was of my name. This crazy bastard had tattooed my name on his heart, even!
“I noticed them this morning. Did you even try having a life outside me?” I picked another spoonful of food.
“Never tried to because I know I’d fail.” He replied and my hand holding the spoon faltered for a second.
“Pietro Giacometti, you absolutely didn’t have to draw tattoos about me on your body.” I tried to maintain a casual tone.
“I have to be reminded every single time I look in the mirror that I belong to you, Peaches” His words set my heart racing and heavens… Someone stop this entire thing!
“You…” I pressed my lips into a thin line.
“I don’t like tattooed bodies. They are so unappealing to me for no specific reason.” I tried to hide that I actually liked the sight of his body and that I wanted to have a better look at his body one more time. Just once more.
His gaze fixated on me for a few seconds as I hastily stuffed my mouth, not wanting him to see my face and immediately detect the lie I had just told.
Few seconds later, he was doing something on his phone and I busied myself with eating hurriedly to stop the heavy pounding in my chest.
“Draken, book me a tattoo lasering appointment for tomorrow.” He said to whoever was on the other side of the phone.
“What?” My eyes widened as I raised my head up to look at him squarely.
He ended the call before I could swallow the food in my mouth. I hastily swallowed.
“A tattoo lasering appointment? For who?” I found myself asking.
I needed to stop talking like I cared about anything in his life. I needed to take a step back but every statement just led to another.
“For myself. If you don’t like tattooed bodies, then I am getting them off for you.” he replied like it was the most casual thing to do and my eyes squinted, my head shaking slightly.
“No… Don’t do… Don’t laser it off.” I shook my head.
“I will. And I’ll begin the process tomorrow.” He picked up his cutlery, his face set and determined already.
“Don’t laser it off, Pietro.” I gritted out.
‘Don’t get it off, you fool! It looks sexy on you!’ But of course, I didn’t say those crazy words.
“You don’t like it so it goes off…” He maintained the determined, unchanging tone.
“Listen to me and let your body be for chrissake!” I rasped.
“So you do like it?” He gently dropped his cutlery.
“I… I don’t.” I stuttered.
“Then the lasering will…”
“Fine! I like it! I like your body with the tattoos!” I shut my eyes tightly as I half yelled out the words.
I was half certain there was a triumphant smile on his face while my face turned redder.
“Hell” I cursed underneath my breath and got up from my seat in a hurry.
“I’m full” I rushed my words and made an attempt to run out of the room but his voice stopped me.
“Caily”
I bit down on my lower lip and slowly turned to face him. He was already on his feet and was approaching me. I felt my knees going weak as his tall figure approached me.
He stopped in front of me and I slowly gulped, wondering if there was still going to be a session tonight but suddenly he put his right hand forward and stretched a box of chocolates to me.
“You didn’t think I forgot the chocolates, did you?”
