Valentina pov
A dull ache spread through my body as my eyes fluttered open. Groaning softly, I lifted a hand to shield my face from the sunlight filtering through the curtains. With a sigh, I shifted to the other side of the bed-
And froze.
My breath hitched as my gaze landed on him-Alexander. Shirtless. Asleep.
Oh, and breathtaking too.
I blinked, my face turning a deep shade of red as the memories of last night came rushing back.
The car sex… then taking it to the bedroom until dawn.
Yes, dawn.
Alexander and I had sex until the break of dawn.
Oh my god! That explained why my body felt like it had been thrown out of a window.
Yet… despite the lingering ache, I couldn’t help but smile as I stared at my devastatingly handsome husband. Alexander might have a cold exterior, and he might be a ruthless mafia don, but I think I’m starting to understand why I fell in love with him- why I married him.
“How can someone be this attractive?” I whispered, grinning to myself.
Ah, Emily! You naughty girl. You married him because Alexander was not only handsome but insanely good in bed! No wonder. Hehe. Who cared if he was terrifying and constantly looked like he wanted to kill someone?
With a face like that? Yeah, totally worth it.
“Hehe, this is all mine. The face, the body- everything,” I muttered, biting my bottom lip as my eyes slowly traveled down to the duvet covering his stomach.
I swallowed nervously, an idea flashing in my mind. Without thinking twice, my greedy hands reached out to tug the duvet down just a little, hoping to catch a glimpse of his god-given… attribute which, as far as I was concerned, was mine.
“Just one look,” I whispered to myself. My hand brushed against the duvet, but before I could pull it down, I gasped, feeling my hand jerked away. My head shot up to meet Alexander’s intense gaze, his brow arched.
Shit.
“I-I-” I stammered, struggling to form proper words. But before I could say anything, I found myself lifted effortlessly into the air. In the blink of an eye, my position shifted, and Alexander placed me on top of his lap.
My heart pounded as I stared at Alexander, my face probably flushed with embarrassment. I froze, realizing he had caught me just as I was about to undress him.
“Should I be impressed or scared that you’re up for another round?” Alexander asked, his teasing smirk sending a shiver down my spine.
Thump. Thump.
The look in his eyes wasn’t one of hatred or disgust, but of amusement, making my heart race even faster.
“Can’t speak, huh?” he continued, his voice smooth, almost mocking. “Where’s the girl who claimed everything was hers just a moment ago?”
I blinked, opening my mouth, but no words came out. Alexander casually sat down on the bed, now mere inches away from me, his presence overwhelming.
Alexander’s arms wrapped around my waist, pulling me flush against him. Almost instantly, my body reacted, my nipples hardened beneath my bra, and I could feel the warmth building inside me as memories of our passionate night together flooded my mind.
“I asked…” Alexander’s voice was low, his hand slowly reaching for the waistband of my panties, teasingly tugging on them. “Do you want to go for another round-”
Bang!
My eyes widened, and both of our heads snapped to the side as Felix burst into the room, his eyes narrowing in anger. He froze when he saw us, raising an eyebrow before curling his lip in disgust.
“Oh my God!” I gasped, my body reacting before my brain could catch up. I reached for the duvet, scrambling to move away from Alexander’s lap before kicking him off the bed.
Yes, off the bed.
Alexander… “…”
He seemed caught off guard as well, and with a soft thud, he fell to the ground. Thankfully, he was wearing his briefs, so at least he wasn’t completely naked.
“F-Felix, what are you doing here?” I quickly asked, wrapping the duvet tighter around my body.
Felix scowled, tearing his glare away from his father before rushing over to me. Without warning, he jumped onto the bed and wrapped his little arms around me in a tight hug.
I blinked in surprise but quickly wrapped my arms around Felix, bringing him to my lap.
“Felix, are you okay? Did something happen?” I asked, cupping his face to gently make him look up at me, my expression softening with concern.
Felix wasn’t the type to seek out physical contact, well, except with me. For him to suddenly hug me like that… something had to be wrong.
I could feel Alexander’s gaze fixed on Felix, but he didn’t say anything. He just watched quietly from the floor.
Felix leaned back slightly and shook his head before clutching his small notebook in his hands. He flipped through the pages, then showed me the words he had written.
I squinted, focusing on the words.
“I miss Mommy. She doesn’t spend time with me anymore. Is that old man more fun than me? Why does he always take your time…”
My words trailed off as I realized the “old man” Felix was referring to was his father.
I turned to look at Alexander, and he scoffed, rolling his eyes. Without sparing a second glance at anyone, he stood up and walked toward the restroom.
My eye twitched.
Wow… the father-son relationship really wasn’t looking good.
I shook my head, then turned to Felix, who was staring at me with those innocent eyes, his lips drawn into a pout. At that moment, a thought crossed my mind. Alexander and Felix’s relationship wasn’t great, but I could fix it! And what better way than to spend time together as a family?
I smiled, gently pinching Felix’s cheek.
“Mommy is sorry, how about we go on a picnic?” I suggested, and almost instantly, Felix’s eyes lit up. He quickly jotted something down in his notebook.
“Yes, Mommy. You and I should go on a picnic!”
I chuckled, shaking my head at his excitement. Just then, Alexander emerged from the restroom, his hand gripping his toothbrush as he brushed his teeth.
I grinned widely as I stared at him. He froze, raising an eyebrow at me. Felix also turned toward his father as I spoke up, full of enthusiasm.
“Not just you and me, kiddo. We’re all going on a picnic as a family- together with your father!” I exclaimed.
But the reaction I got wasn’t what I was expecting.
Alexander and Felix both turned to me, their faces twisted in a look of disgust.
“No!” they both echoed simultaneously.
