Alexander pov.
“Huh, isn’t that your wife, or am I seeing things right now?” Xaiver, the idiot, was the first to break the silence as we stood there, all eyes locked on one another.
I narrowed my gaze at Luca, and a surge of pure rage coursed through me, tightening my fists as I fought to keep myself from snapping and gunning him down right then and there.
He was the same bastard who had betrayed me with my wife, the same reason Emily had wanted to leave, and ultimately the reason she was now gone.
The only thing holding me back from ending him right now was the knowledge that Emily wouldn’t have wanted me to kill him. That was why I had ignored him, let him live-out of respect for her. But now…
My attention shifted to Valentina, and my frown deepened as I recalled how they had been wrapped in each other’s arms just moments ago. Did he really think she was Emily?
The corner of my lips into a cold smirk and I relaxed before shifting my gaze back to Luca,
“What are you doing here? It isn’t usual to see a cop in this kind of place” I said, keeping my voice low but light.
“Wait! Cop? He is the cop” Xiaver asked in shock and I simply nodded and replied.
“Mhm, he’s a cop. I know him because he’s been after me for a while now. He’s probably here because of you this time around” I lied smoothly. I knew that bastard over there was probably here for me.
After Emily’s death, he had been on my neck for a long time, trying to gather evidence to throw me in prison and like I said I decided to ignore it because of Emily but this time, I didn’t mind if he got in trouble with Xiaver and Xaiver killed him.
One thing was certain, Xaiver didn’t like was cops. I mean that was something non of us liked but Xaiver despised it most because they would usually barge into his club and it was getting annoying taking care of them.
Xaiver’s expression turned cold in an instant, and in a blink of an eye, men dressed in black surrounded Luca and his companion.
“Hm, Luca… you promised me nothing would happen so what the hell is happening?!” The other cop looked visibly shaken as he tried to move, only to be blocked by one of the Xaiver’s men which made his eyes wide with fear, but Luca? The bastard didn’t even flinch. His face remained a cold, stone mask, completely unaffected by the imminent danger.
I couldn’t tell if he truly understood how deadly the situation was, or if he simply didn’t care. Maybe he didn’t realize Xaiver was fully capable of ending him right there. Or maybe he was just that fearless-or foolish.
Either way, it was entertaining for me.
Xaiver could handle this bastard without me breaking my promise to Emily. I said I wouldn’t kill-I never said I had to protect him from others.
“You have five seconds to talk and tell me what the hell you’re doing in my club before I put a bullet in your goddamn head,” Xaiver said, stepping forward. The usual teasing smirk that often graced his lips was gone, replaced by a deadly glare radiating raw killing intent as he reached for the hidden gun tucked into the back of his trousers.
I raised a hand, subtly hiding the smile forming on my lips as I watched the tension in amusement.
When Luca didn’t speak, Xavier frowned and almost took his gun out but then Luca sighed, finally parting his lips to speak-but before he could get a single word out, someone else beat him to it, shocking everyone to the extent we all froze and turned our attention to her.
“Oh my God! Oh my God! They’re playing my favorite song right now! They’re playing ‘Pony’ by Ginuwine!” Valentina yelled, and even Xavier’s men couldn’t hide their confusion, their once-intimidating expressions shifting as we were stared at her.
No one spoke or moved, including me. I was completely taken back.
What? I wanted to ask, but the words died in my throat as she suddenly jumped and began moving to the beat of the music, completely oblivious to the tension in the air.
“If you’re horny, let’s do it, ride it, my pony, my saddle’s waitin’, come and jump on it!” she screamed, her cap slipping off and falling to the ground as her black hair whipped around.
My eyes darkened as my gaze shifted-wads of cash spilled from her damn shirt.
“Come and jump on it!” she yelled again, leaping into the air, her hands trailing over her body as she moved to the music.
What in the world is going on?
“Hey, what’s wrong with your wife? Why is she acting like this?”
I barely registered Xavier stepping up beside me, gun in hand, his eyes fixed on Emily.
Hell if I knew. This stupid girl was usually crazy-I’d give her that-but not like this. The only time she ever acted this way was when she was drunk, and then…
It clicked.
My gaze darkened, and murderous intent radiated off me as I stared at Valentina. Xavier must have noticed because he raised a brow and wisely took two steps back. But hell, I was going to kill that bastard!
“She drank,” Luca spoke up, his deep voice cutting through the tension as he shifted his gaze from Valentina to me. “Five glasses at most.”
Silence…
Despite the blasting music, you could hear a pin drop. Xavier’s eyes widened in shock, and he gasped, covering his mouth as he processed Luca’s words.
“Fucking hell! She drank five? Who the hell served her five-” He froze mid-sentence when I turned to him with a glare, reaching for my gun. His words died in his throat as he swallowed nervously.
“W-wait, Alexander. Don’t do anything rash! It’s not my fault she drank five! Hell, she wasn’t even supposed to be here in the first place-she isn’t a man!”
“You fucking bastard,” I hissed, taking a step towards him but halting abruptly when a high-pitched voice screamed from behind.
“Oooo! She’s taking off her shirt!”
I froze and instantly turned to find Valentina smiling sheepishly as she pulled her shirt up, revealing her lacy black bra.
My breath caught in my throat at the sight, and a surge of anger roared within me as I felt every eye on Valentina. In that moment, my body moved before my mind could catch up. I found myself in front of her, pulling her to me by the waist as her hand dropped her shirt, holding onto me for support.
The world seemed to stop, everything narrowing as we locked eyes, unable to look away for what felt like an eternity.
And then she spoke.
“Alexander… I feel very hot. My whole body seems to be burning, I need you, please.”
Her voice was barely above a whisper, but I heard it clearly. And the moment I did, I felt my dick throb painfully as I pulled her closer, her intoxicating perfume clouding my senses.
“Why wouldn’t you feel hot, you idiot? You drank five glasses of aphrodisiac.”
Explanation: An aphrodisiac is a type of substance that is believed to stimulate sexual desire or arousal, making one feel more sexually active.
