Anna paused, putting the brakes down on her wheelchair.
She was beginning to doubt the veracity of the matter.
Jess, who was pushing the wheelchair behind her, saw this and cast a quizzical gaze over, “What’s wrong, Miss Newman, we’re almost at the ward.”
Anna’s tone was lukewarm, “There’s no rush, before I go, there’s something I want to ask you, what kind of vegetative person needs to spend fifteen million dollars a year, you guys brought me here, you shouldn’t be planning to replace my internal organs for her, right?”
Come to think of it, it wasn’t impossible.
In order to preemptively strike, Anna immediately shook the phone in her hand, “If it’s with this idea, then I think you can give up, I’ve already positioned myself before I came here, and also recorded and sent it to someone else, if you guys dare to harm me, you’ll surely die!”
Despite her mouth screaming awesome, Anna’s palms broke out in a fine layer of sweat.
How could she not be afraid?
She was now confined to a wheelchair, and if the other party wanted to bring her to her death, then she wouldn’t even have the chance to fight back.
However, Jess was even more nervous than her, hurriedly waving her hand to explain, “No, we really didn’t do anything, Miss Newman you calm down, listen to me to explain to you.”
Anna was cold, “Okay, then you explain, I’ll listen.”
Jess scratched his head, his face made a difficult face, “For a moment, I really don’t know how to explain to you, in short, it’s true that all this money was spent on Jurrian, and in her current condition, it’s impossible for her to receive someone else’s organ transplant, it’s useless.”
So the body is so damaged that it can’t be operated on at all?
Jess opened his mouth again, then scratched his head, “This, I don’t know how to explain it to you, anyway, you’ll know if you go with me to take a look, I’m just a guy who gets paid to do things, even if I want to earn more money, it’s not so bad as to put my own life on the line.”
He said sincerely, gradually making Anna believe.
After hesitating for a long time, Anna silently released the wheelchair brake.
As if he was afraid that Anna would backtrack, this time Jess pushed extra fast, and in the blink of an eye, he reached the hospital room.
And looking at Jurrian on the hospital bed, Anna couldn’t help but widen her eyes.
Now she finally knew why Jurrian needed fifteen million dollars a year for his medical bills and was also in no position to receive any organ transplants from others.
Because Jurrian was dead!
That’s actually a bit of a generalization.
There are two stages of death.
The first is brain death, where there’s no brain wave activity, no breathing, no reflexes, but the heart is still beating.
The second is clinical death, where the heart also stops beating, and only then can death be declared.
And right now, Jurrian, lying on the hospital bed, is now the first.
Her chest had been cut open and various tubes had been inserted to assist her breathing and heartbeat, and medication had been used to keep her body functioning normally.
Being alive like that wasn’t even living anymore, at best it was just a corpse that was still warm.
“Condray is sick,” Anna couldn’t help but curse, “In this case, Jurrian should have been put in the ground a long time ago!”
Instead of doing that, Condray forced Jurrian to live like this for another five years.
Oh no, it’s more than five years now.
According to Condray, he wanted Jurrian to stay like this for decades.
It was just too sick.
Anna couldn’t help but shiver.
“I can’t do this favor,” Anna said, and was ready for Jess to walk her out.
Jess stopped her, “Miss Newman, don’t be in such a hurry to leave, didn’t you tell Condray before that he would pay for it, you’re just helping to guard it a bit.”
“No one can pay for it, she’s already dead you know, a dead person like that is not supposed to continue to be kept alive like this, it doesn’t make any sense.” Anna said.
Without waiting for Jess to answer, Anna’s face changed again and repeated herself, “Yeah, she’s dead, she died a long time ago.”
