Blood Iron sneered coldly, his voice sharp and commanding: “Let’s go!”
With those words, he led the Iron Fist crew away swiftly.
As Blood Iron disappeared into the distance, Chris let out a long sigh of relief. The sheer pressure Blood Iron exuded was suffocating, even for someone like Chris.
Blood Iron was a Solstice-level peak cultivator, a terrifyingly powerful adversary.
Turning to Lindsay Windson, Chris said, “We’re leaving!”
Without delay, Chris and his group departed.
But Chris knew Blood Iron wouldn’t go far; the danger was still lurking close by.
Sure enough, hidden in the shadows, Blood Iron watched Chris’s retreating figure, his teeth clenched tightly. “Boy, one way or another, I’ll kill you all!” he growled.
—
A few days later, Chris and his companions were sailing across the vast ocean.
Suddenly, the small boat jerked violently.
Boom!
An earth-shattering explosion tore through the vessel, shattering it into pieces.
Splash! Splash!
Lindsay Windson and Tanner Field were thrown into the sea. Chris shouted at them, “Get out of here, now!”
Standing on the surface of the ocean, Blood Iron glared at Chris, his killing intent palpable.
Chris stared back, a mocking grin on his face. “Old man, so you were cowardly enough to ambush me? You must truly be courting death!”
Without hesitation, Chris grabbed Hartless Iron and slapped him hard across the face.
Hartless Iron cried out in pain, his voice echoing across the water.
Blood Iron’s expression darkened further but, with his nephew in Chris’s hands, he dared not act rashly.
Just then, Lindsay Windson managed to find a small boat and rowed it over. Chris and his group boarded, sailing away under Blood Iron’s furious gaze.
“Chase them down!” Blood Iron roared. “Kill them all!”
At his command, the Iron Fist fleet gave chase, their pirate ships speeding across the waves.
It didn’t take long for Blood Iron to catch up to Chris.
Chris turned to face him, grinning slyly. “So, do you want your nephew back?”
Blood Iron’s voice was venomous as he snarled, “Boy, let him go now, or you’re dead!”
Chris sneered. “Hartless Iron is my trump card. Do you really think I’ll give him up?”
Blood Iron tried to negotiate, his tone forced to soften. “If you release him, I’ll let you leave. What do you say?”
Chris laughed mockingly. “You think I’d believe you?”
He wasn’t a fool. If he let Hartless Iron go, Blood Iron would kill him without hesitation.
Blood Iron’s patience snapped. “Chris, whether you believe me or not, today there’s no escape for you!”
Before long, the Iron Fist fleet surrounded Chris’s boat, hundreds of pirate ships forming an unbreakable blockade.
Chris’s face turned grim. He knew there was no way out except to fight. If he didn’t, death was certain.
Taking a deep breath, Chris summoned a surge of powerful energy, his aura flaring.
He turned to Blood Iron and smirked coldly. “It seems this kid is of no use to you anymore. In that case, I’ll just kill him!”
With that, Chris drew the Dragon Slayer blade and pressed it against Hartless Iron’s neck.
Blood Iron’s face twisted in panic. “Stop! Don’t do it-”
Slash!
Before Blood Iron could finish, Chris swung his blade, severing Hartless Iron’s head in one swift motion.
Hartless Iron’s lifeless head flew through the air, landing in Blood Iron’s trembling hands. Blood Iron stood frozen, his expression one of utter disbelief.
“You… you actually killed him…” he muttered, his voice trembling with rage.
A guttural roar erupted from Blood Iron as his fury consumed him. “You bastard! How dare you kill my nephew! I’ll tear you to pieces!”
His face contorted with madness, Blood Iron crushed Hartless Iron’s head in his hands, reducing it to a mist of blood.
All he could think about now was killing Chris.
Without hesitation, Blood Iron lunged at Chris, his fist aimed to kill.
Chris raised the Dragon Slayer to block.
Boom!
The force of the blow sent Chris flying backward. Blood Iron’s power was overwhelming, far beyond what Chris could handle.
Blood Iron attacked again, relentless in his pursuit. Chris had no choice but to retreat.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
Each strike from Blood Iron drew blood, leaving Chris weaker and more vulnerable. He couldn’t counter. He couldn’t dodge.
In mere moments, Chris was severely injured, his body battered and broken.
With one final blow, Blood Iron sent Chris plunging into the ocean.
“You’re dead, boy!” Blood Iron growled, his eyes glinting with cold, murderous intent.
Chris, floating in the water, gritted his teeth. “You think you can kill me so easily? Dream on!”
Raising his hands, Chris summoned two flames.
One burned bright red, radiating intense heat. The other was icy blue, exuding bone-chilling cold.
The two flames were polar opposites, their temperatures clashing violently, causing the surrounding air to twist and ripple.
The ocean around them began to change. On one side, the water boiled furiously. On the other, it froze solid.
Blood Iron’s eyes narrowed as he watched. Chris’s abilities were strange, but Blood Iron was confident. He was, after all, a peak Solstice cultivator.
However, when Chris began bringing the two flames closer together, Blood Iron’s confidence wavered.
“What’s he doing…?” Blood Iron muttered. He could feel an ominous energy building, growing stronger by the second.
“Chris, you’re insane!” Blood Iron shouted. “Stop right now, or we’ll both die!”
But Chris ignored him, his face pale and drenched in sweat. The energy required to fuse the flames was immense, draining him rapidly.
Blood Iron cursed and turned to flee, but he froze in place. The terrifying energy had locked onto him, preventing his escape.
The red and blue flames merged, forming a single, radiant white flame.
The white flame streaked toward Blood Iron, growing larger in his eyes with every passing second.
Boom!
The explosion shook the heavens. The ocean erupted violently, sending towering waves hundreds of meters high crashing in every direction.
Blood Iron didn’t even have time to scream. The white flame consumed him entirely, leaving nothing but ashes.
Chris, too, was blasted away by the force of the explosion, his body flung into the distance.
