she’s losing blood.

Killian’s POV.
I felt a strong wave of anger surge through me. If I could lay my hands on Aragorn right now, I’d brutally slaughter every bit of his body parts and feed it to the birds of the air.
He had abducted my kids and was using them as a means to manipulate my mate into killing me.
And thinking about it right now, this isn’t entirely about killing me, he wanted to make Elena suffer as well. He was aimed at getting her traumatized for being responsible for the death of her mate.
“I thought I had gotten over you, and it would hasten the process, but I fell madly in love with you over and over, the moment I set my eyes on you again,” Elena sobbed bitterly.
“Believe me, I wasn’t going to do it, I had already made up my mind to find another solution to it, Killian, please you have to believe me,” her eyes were filled with bare truthfulness as she spoke.
“And Darius? You can’t say the same for him,” I retorted.
“Darius was only carrying out the plan to save me and the children from Aragorn, he was only trying to help,” she replied.
“That’s not true, he saw an opportunity to get back at me for an incident that occurred many years ago and he wasted no time to jump on it, he wasn’t entirely doing it to help,” I gritted angrily.
She stared into my eyes with the utmost delicate look, her perfect eyes searching mine and pleading for mercy.
“Please Killian,” she whispered softly, her voice like a delicate whirlwind filtering into my ears and somehow, calmed my boiling rage. Not entirely, but to a stable state.
“For the sake of the help he rendered to our children and I, he shouldn’t be rewarded this way, please,” she reached out and held my hands in her, stroking gently.
“Please.”
“Elena, this would have been long sorted if you trusted me with the truth,” I growled, trying so hard to control my anger.
“I trust you more than anything Killian, I was only scared that Aragorn had his eyes on me, I thought that if I went against his orders, he might do something bad to the kids,”
My stomach churned in wild rage as she mentioned the kids, I couldn’t believe I have been living freely while my children suffered in the hands of that monster. He will regret ever messing with what’s mine.
“I’m afraid Killian, Aragorn really has his eyes all over us, I think he might do something to the kids if he finds out that I didn’t go ahead with the plan,” she panicked.
“Killian,” she reached out and held my both hands in hers, her eyes piercing deep into mine.
“You have to help me please, there has to be a way to escape this without you or the kids getting hurt,”
I stared at her as she spoke, unable to chirp in a reply, I was overcome by the heavy turmoil in my head as I thought of the most painful way to kill Aragorn.
“I got an information about a witch that could cast a spell on him, maybe it could be the easiest way out of this, please Killian, would you go with me, please? I can’t do this alone,”
My gaze held hers for a few seconds. “I would rather stab myself with a stake and bleed to death than go easy on Aragorn,” my voice trembled like a roaring storm as I spoke.
She stared blankly at me for a moment, before a small smile formed on her lips. “Does that mean you will help me?”
“He manipulated you into being responsible for my death Elena, that wasn’t entirely because he wanted me dead, he wanted you to suffer, he messed with you, Elena, and he’s messing with my kids, this is between me and him now, it’s no longer your battle,”
“And Darius? Will you forgive him please?” She pouted.
I stared at her plumped lips with a deep hunger brewing inside of me, I was tempted to pin her against the wall and kiss her till we were breathless, but that would be reserved for later. Right now, I have a certain Lycan that I can’t wait to lay my hands on. And for Darius, maybe I might reconsider my initial death sentence for him.
“Killian?” Elena’s voice snapped me out of my trance.
“Well, as much as I would love to have his head on a spike, he might be of help on this mission,” I replied.
A small smile formed at the corner of her lips. “Thank you.”
“But I can’t promise you that he won’t be ruffled up,” I spat, pulling her into my arm and stroked her back gently.
“You are not properly healed, let’s get you back to the clinic,” I broke the hug and stared into her face.
“I don’t feel any pain anymore, I’m properly healed and…
The rest of her sentence suddenly trailed off as she gasped loudly.
“Elena, are you okay?”
“Yes, it’s nothing, I…”
A loud scream fled her mouth again, she lost her balance on the floor and fell off but I was quick to pull her into my arms.
“What’s going on? Are you alright?”
I watched as her lips quivered in an attempt to say something but nothing came out.
“Stay with me please, I’m gonna get you to the clinic in a second,” I quickly lifted her off the floor and sped towards the clinic.
In a jiffy, we arrived at the clinic and I rushed her to the ward, calling out to the healers as I did.
Almost immediately, the chief healer rushed into the ward.
“What happened?”
“We were having a conversation and she suddenly fell off,” I panicked.
He walked past me, towards her and carefully examined her wounds.
“She shouldn’t have left the bed, she wasn’t properly healed, it has affected her wound quite badly,”
My heart thumped rapidly against my chest as she spoke.
“I’m afraid the wound is not healing and she’s losing so much blood.”
