Elena’s POV.
“She can’t do that, they are mated together,” Bonnie chirped in.
He snapped his head towards her, his gaze a blaring rage. “Stay out of this if you want your head still over your body.”
He turned around to face me, the once sweet smile returning to his face. “What do you say love?”
“Darius… Please.”
“You’ve got less than a minute to make up your mind, the key to his life now lies in your hands,” he smiled.
I couldn’t hold it in any longer, streams of tears rolled freely down my cheeks.
Darius had everything planned out already and I was caged in between. I couldn’t let him kill Killian, neither do I want to leave with him.
I wanted to remain here with Killian, with his help, find our kids, and live happily forever, ruling over the pack as one big powerful family.
But that seemed to be a fairytale that would never make its way to reality.
If only Killian hadn’t banished me and thrown me out into the awaiting arms of Darius, maybe we wouldn’t be going through this.
Maybe this was our faith, this was how things were supposed to stay between us.
I exhaled a deep breath, my gaze fixed intently on him. “I will go with you,”
My lips trembled uncontrollably as the words left my mouth.
“What? No! You can’t just leave, Alpha Killian is never going to be the same without you,” Bonnie blurted.
I slowly turned towards her with a cold gaze. “He should have thought about that before casting me away years ago,”
Darius quickly leaned forward and pulled me into his arms. “You made the right choice Elena,”
His touch now felt like a pickling needle stinging me hard, it was no longer the warm relaxing feeling that I always longed to run to. This mission has turned the once gentle Darius into a monster and I couldn’t help but wonder how I could possibly live with him this way for the rest of my life. I wanted to be as far away from him as possible, but sadly I was stuck with him, it was the price I had to pay to him for saving my life years ago.
“But you have to go now, I will join you tomorrow,” I managed to struggle out of his grip.
“No, we leave right away,” he insisted.
“Listen to me just this once Darius, I can’t leave like that, let me see Killian one last time please,”
He held my gaze in his for a moment without saying a word. “Elena, if you try to…”
“Nothing of the sort, I promise you,” I quickly cut in.
As much as I wanted to find a way to escape him, I couldn’t risk it. Killian’s life was in line for it.
“I will be back over the morning, be prepared to leave with me,” he winked, leaning closer to kiss my cheeks and walked away, leaving Bonnie and I behind.
“You can’t be serious about leaving with him, Alpha Killian can’t live without you,” she quickly turned toward me.
“He’ll be alright, believe me,” I snapped, turning around and started walking away while she followed suit, ranting.
We got to the lane that separated the pack entrance from the river that Killian enjoyed visiting.
I felt Narla, my wolf kick immediately and abruptly stopped me from walking further into the pack.
I was confused, why was Narla pushing towards the river? I tried to ignore it but Narla was adamant.
“Bonnie, go ahead, I need to be somewhere,” I slowly turned around and started heading down the river.
“Is everything okay? Do you need me to…”
“Go home, Bonnie!” I snapped angrily.
That seemed to work as she nodded slowly and started heading towards the pack.
I turned around swiftly and continued my journey towards the river.
As I approached closer, my gaze landed on him, he was seated at the river shore, his legs dipped in the water.
For a moment, I stood on the spot, my gaze fixed intently on him. I couldn’t believe I wouldn’t be seeing him after today, for the rest of our lives. Killian was the only man I have ever truly loved.
Droplets of tears rolled down my cheeks as I watched him sadly, my hands were tied right now and there was nothing I could do to avert the situation.
But then again, I was glad that I was able to save his life, it would have been an unbearable torture if I had succeeded in taking his life or letting Darius do it.
Slowly, I wiped off my tears, an idea suddenly struck me. It was my last day with him, maybe I could as well make it worth the while.
I took off at a heavy speed, rushing over to him. Memories of our beautiful moments together flashed repeatedly over my head as I rushed towards him.
I could tell he noticed my presence as he swiftly turned his head towards my direction. “Elena?” His voice was low and uncertain.
I ran to him and threw myself on him, roughly pushing him to the floor of the river shore, and climbed over him, smashing my lips on his roughly and passionately.
I pulled my lips away from his and slowly traced wet kisses all over his neck down to his chest, then I suddenly wrapped my mouth around his tiny nipples and suckled gently occasionally grazing it with my teeth.
Killian’s deep grunts filled my ears.
“Arya, uhh!! Fuck!”
I was glad he wasn’t interested in finding out why I was throwing myself desperately at him.
In a flash, our clothes were flying all over the place as I positioned my snatch on his hard cock, lowering myself down on his hard cock.
“Fuck Elena!!! Killian grunted, his hand clutching onto my ass cheeks tightly.
His cock slipped deep into my soaking wet cunt in one hard movement. It filled me completely all the way to my yearning cervix.
