I could help.

Killian’s POV.
I stirred slightly in my sleep, the sun rays penetrating into the room through the window propped me to snap my eyes open.
Surprisingly, I was the only one in the room. Killian was nowhere to be found.
Where could he have gone so early?
Deciding not to let that stress me further, I turned to the other side of the bed and squeezed my eyes back shut, he probably had a pack activity to run. Everyone has been on his neck lately about the duties of the pack that he had neglected for my sake, including Luna Drusilla.
Taking in a deep breath, a wide smile spread out on my face as I reminisced our intimacy the previous day. Killian had refused to leave my side for a second all through the day.
Every passing second was spent with our lips glued together, and our bodies rubbing gently against each other, shutting out every other complication that could come after.
I had completely let my guard down and allowed myself enjoy the warmth of his arms knowing fully well that any second could be my last, all hell was on the verge of letting loose and all I wanted was to get enough of him before it all comes crashing before my eyes.
Darius was awfully determined to carry out the mission himself now, and nothing I could say would ever make him have a change of heart.
Despite how rash he has become over the past few days, I was still appreciative of him, he was totally going out of his way to secure the safety of my kids and mine as well. That was how much he loved us.
My willingness to find a way to talk him out of it totally shrunk the moment back then when he mentioned the uncertainty of my kids wellbeing. It was a relief that they were still alive.
Maybe it was time to let someone else who has nothing to lose step into the situation, since my emotions would never let me do anything that would hurt Killian.
I’ve had the best time of my life, it was time to finally let life take it’s course. Whatever comes out of it, becomes my faith.
Suddenly, I felt a strong presence in the room, I was no longer alone and I knew it.
He was here.
In a swift move, I snapped my eyes open struggling up from the bed and true to my instincts, he was leaning over the window with a knowing look on his face.
“Darius? What are you doing here?”
He chuckled and moved away from the window, inching towards the room. “Why? You are scared that I would run into you two having fun together?”
“No, because this is Killian’s room, it’s the last place you should be, I mean if he was here, this would have been an entirely different situation,” I snapped back at him.
“Well, that doesn’t matter anymore because we are taking him out tonight,” he winked at me.
My heart skipped a beat as I tried to put the pieces together. “What?”
“I told you I would handle it right? Trust me everything is in place for Killian’s elimination,” he smiled.
I stared blankly at him as he spoke.
“All I need you to do, is get your things ready, once it’s done, I’m taking you out of here for good,”
“Darius,” I managed to mutter, swiftly climbing off the bed and approached. “What are you planning?”
“It’s nothing you should be worried about, just do as I say and we’ll be done with all this in a second,” he replied.
“This is what I should have done a long time before now, I’m sorry I was foolish to let you go through it all by yourself,” he gently pulled me into his arms.
Those arms that offered me safety and comfort now pricked at me like a sharp needle. Darius was beginning to take a really awful step that somehow felt like he had a hidden agenda.
I managed to struggle out of his arms and faced him. “I don’t want Killian dead,” the words flew out of my mouth before I could put a stop to it.
I felt him stiffen and took a step back from me. “Elena, you don’t have to feel pity for him, Killian is a vicious man, think about the pains that he caused you, everything that he has done to you,”
“Still, he’s not as terrible as you are making him out to be,” I was surprised at how fast I had jumped to Killian’s defense.
I watched as his face crumpled into a sad frown. “He killed my parents,” the words slowly left his mouth.
I couldn’t utter any more word as I stared blankly at him.
“He is the reason our kids are suffering in the hands of that strange man,”
“There should not be an ounce of pity for him left in your heart,”
“Darius…”
My sentence hooked up in my throat as the door suddenly flung open.
I felt a rush of cold blood wash through me as we both quickly turned towards the door.
It was Bonnie, the maid who had drugged me previously.
“I’m sorry, I knocked severally and when you didn’t answer, I thought you were asleep and decided to quietly drop this off,” she gestured to the covered tray in her hands.
Suddenly, her head snapped towards Darius’s direction and she gasped in shock.
“Aren’t you the Alpha of Greenwoods pack?” She mumbled in disbelief, staring from him to me.
In one swift move, Darius sped towards her, grabbing her dangerously by the neck.
“Darius stop!” I yelled rushing towards him.
“She has already seen me, it’s bad for you,” he replied.
“You don’t have to hurt her still, she won’t say a word about this to anyone, trust me,”
“I didn’t mean to eavesdrop on your conversation, but I heard everything, and maybe I could help,”
Bonnie’s next words dropped like a bomb on us.
