Elena’s POV.
“What the hell are you doing here Darius?” I yelled climbing off him, fury simmering inside me. “This is the Alpha’s freaking Palace for goodness sake, guards are posted at every turn!”
Darius is really going to blow up my plans.
“Relax, no one saw me come in here,” he replied.
“Of course, that’s what you are gonna say until you leave here and a number of wolves are confirmed dead,” I yelled.
He stared blankly at me without saying a word, a pinch of remorse flashing through his eyes.
“I’m sorry,” he mumbled in the softest voice, making my peak of anger roll off a little bit. “I just really missed you so much,” he added and I quickly casted him a glance.
“Darius, we literally just saw each other yesterday,”
“Well, I’m not comfortable with you living in the same house with that brute! I can’t even breathe well knowing that he now has access to you at any time he pleases, this is difficult for me, you have to understand,” he lamented.
“Darius listen,” I slowly took a step closer to him, my gaze searching his. “I understand how you feel about this whole situation, but you also have to understand that I feel the same way too, now acting rashly will do us no good, you are only going to complicate things further, did you stop to imagine what would have happened yesterday if Killian found you in the house?”
He heaved out a deep sigh, frustration flicking through his eyes. “I just want everything to be over, the longer you stay here, the crazier it drives me,” he mumbled.
“I want it to be all over so badly too, I’m exhausted already, I just want my children back,”
He closed the space between us and pulled me into his arms.
“It will be over soon, trust me, you just have to do the needful as soon as possible,” he whispered.
I ignored his last sentence and however, tried to relax to the soothing hug, only to suddenly feel his lips over my neck, nibbling gently.
“Darius? What are you doing?”
“Just relax and enjoy it,” he groaned against the skin of my neck suckling hungrily.
Darius was my second chance mate and I was attracted to him, but not half as I was to Killian. Right now, I wasn’t irritated by the kiss but I rather would not like it to continue.
“I’ve missed you so much, I missed us,” his words came out in muffled sounds as he buried his face in my neck.
“Uhm.. Darius, you have to stop,” I quickly struggled out of his grip.
“Why? What’s wrong?” He stared at me in confusion and I couldn’t help but chuckle dryly.
“You are seriously asking me that? We are in Killian’s territory, his room is right beside mine, we can’t be doing this,” I inched further away from him, making sure there was no more physical contact between us.
“Elena relax, it’s not…”
“You have to leave, Darius, now.” I quickly cut him off.
“What?”
“Anyone could literally walk in on us and it’s game over, you shouldn’t be here in the first place and you know it,” I replied.
His gaze lingered on me for a moment before shrugging in surrender. “Fine, but remember, you have barely two days left, do the needful,” he placed a quick kiss on my cheeks then jumped off through the window.
I exhaled a deep breath, watching him disappear through the window. It was obvious who I wanted now between Darius and Killian, even though I was still too scared to admit it.
I paced to and fro the room, with different thoughts running through my head until I was exhausted and fell on the bed, dozing off immediately my skin came in contact with the bed.
I woke up in the middle of the night and surprisingly I couldn’t feel an ounce of sleep anymore, several minutes rolled by and my eyes only got clearer.
I rolled all over the bed, my haunting thoughts refusing to vanish no matter how hard I tried. The more I tried to block it off, the more pronounced it became.
After several failed attempts to fall back to sleep, I couldn’t take it anymore. I climbed off the bed and strolled towards the kitchen. Maybe a glass of milk could be of help.
The entire house was cold silent as everyone was fast asleep already.
I made sure not to make a single noise as I quietly pulled the fridge open and grabbed a whole bottle without bothering to get a glass.
Taking my seat on the chair over the kitchen counter, I raised the bottle to my mouth and gobbled half of the content down my throat.
My eyes unconsciously squeezed shut as a warm feeling of relief washed over me, that was exactly what I needed.
Still lost in the much needed solace coursing through me, I suddenly felt a strong pair of arms wrap around my waist. I didn’t need to think twice to realize who it was.
“Killian…” I moaned in a whisper.
“I missed you so fucking much,” he growled, his hands crawling up to my chest and cupped my boobs, giving it a gentle squeeze.
A muffled moan escaped my lips as his hands violated my body in the most intensifying way.
“I came straight to your room when I returned but you were asleep,” he mumbled.
“Yeah, I was…
He quickly spun me around to face him and crashed his lips on mine in an aggressive kiss.
As our lips moved against each other, he firmly lifted me off the chair and placed me on the kitchen counter, spreading my legs wide apart, his hands quickly disappeared into my gown, grabbing the band of my panties and tore it off my body.
I could hear him fumbling with his zipper and next thing, I felt the head of his cock poking against my entrance, and slowly, he pushed in.
“Fuck yes, Killian!” I screamed in pure ecstasy, totally forgetting that we were in the kitchen and anyone could hear us or even walk in.
My legs were locked tightly around his waist as he thrusted into me, slowly picking up pace.
The sound of our bodies slapping together filled the entire kitchen.
Killian reached out and grabbed my cheeks pulling me closer to stare into his eyes, as he grunted heavily slightly open and brushing against mine.
“Please Elena, be my mate again, make me the happiest man alive, and accept our mate bond again,” the words flew through his mouth, filtering into my ears.
