I should kill you.

Killian’s POV.
I stirred gently in my sleep, wrapping my arms around the slender body lying beside me.
I smiled as the flashback from our tender moment the previous night came rushing into my head.
We made love again, it was the most beautiful thing, just like it had always been between us, her tender skin rubbed against mine, her soft moans, just like pure melody, filtered into my ears begging me not to stop as I thrust harder into her.
I never thought I’d ever experience that again, I thought I lost her to the cold hands of death.
I felt whole again, the unbearable pain and torture had flown off the window the moment I set my eyes on her.
I couldn’t believe she was really here, in my arms, her fingers digging into my skin as I thrust into her while she moved to meet my thrusts.
She was really back, for good. And I’m keeping her forever. I’d be a fool to let her out of my sight ever again, not even for a second.
“I’m glad you are back to me,” I mumbled wrapping my arms safely around her, pulling her deeper into my arms.
Somehow, something still felt off about her but I pushed the thought to the back of my head, cuddling her even tighter.
It suddenly struck me, I needed to announce to the entire pack that my mate was back for good.
As much as I didn’t want to leave the bed, I had to break the news to everyone and also sound a warning to anyone who tried to devise any means to hurt her again. I’ll have them hanged and their entire household banished.
I slowly and carefully struggled out of her grip, sitting up on the bed. Then turned around to cover her properly with the duvet.
My eyes suddenly caught sight of her face and a loud scream fled my mouth.
Lying on the bed, sleeping soundly was Aria. She slept so comfortably.
My hands flew to my eyes, wiping away an imaginary blockage to be sure I saw correctly.
“What the fuck are you doing in my room Aria!” I yelled.
“Why are you screaming Alpha? What’s wrong?” She mumbled nonchalantly, rubbing her eyes obviously still shaken from sleep.
I looked around for any sight of Elena but she was nowhere in sight.
My head buzzed uncontrollably as I tried to analyze the situation, Elena was here a minute ago, wrapped in my arms, why then is Aria lying on my bed now?
“I’m going to ask for the last time, what the fuck are you doing in my room?” I growled.
“Why do you suddenly look surprised to see me? You were all over me last night begging me not to ever leave your sight again,” she smiled.
“Have you gone mentally ill? I spent the night with my mate and…” I suddenly trailed off as it struck me, the broken pieces was finally coming to me.
Did I spend the night with Aria? Mistaking her for Elena?
Did I make love to her instead of Elena?
“You were with me last night, and not Elena,” her words hit me hard across the ear clearing my confusion.
Elena wasn’t here last night? It was all an illusion? I shared an intimate moment with Aria instead?
No!
“Why? What were you doing in my room last night? Why did you come in here!” I roared, anger coursing through me.
“I only came to cheer you up and take your pain away, which I did, didn’t I? We had the most beautiful night of…”
“Stop talking immediately!” I gritted.
“Whatever happened last night was a mistake and shouldn’t be spoken of ever again, is that clear?”
“Why? Are you going to deny that last night wasn’t great? You enjoyed it and you know it, you were all over me, you adored my body…
“Stop talking or you will regret it,” I tried so hard to control myself.
“What happened already happened Killian, nothing is stopping us from being together now, that evil whore Elena isn’t here anymore…
I moved swiftly towards her and grabbed her neck, pinning her against the nearest hard surface. “Do you have a death wish!”
“Killian please…” She grabbed my hands on her neck, struggling effortlessly to free herself, the more she tried, the more my hands tightened around her neck leaving her breathless.
“Answer me! Do you have a death wish? How dare you talk about her like that?” I roared jerking her repeatedly. She opened her mouth to say something but my hands were too tight around her neck to let her speak.
“I should kill you right now for sneaking your way into my room and forcing yourself on me,”
“And the guts to talk trash about my mate?”
“Should I have you hanged? Or still, banished like you all made me banish Elena!” I continued jerking her against the wall, roaring angrily. I watched as her eyes began to roll upward, she was losing her breath but I cared less.
Drawing out a deep sigh, I loosened my grip on her and stepped backward.
She fell on her knees, coughing furiously.
“This will be the last time you set foot in my room without an invitation,” I growled. “And I do not have to tell you what will happen to you if you utter a single nasty word about Elena again,”
“Now c’mon, I don’t want to see you here at the blink of my eye,”
She quickly staggered to her feet, breathing heavily as she limped weakly out of the room.
“Aria,” I called as she got to the door.
She slowly turned around to face him.
“Whatever happened between us last night should never get to another ear, you should know better than to defile my order,”
She turned back around and limped away.
Once she was out, I let out a loud howl, frustration and anger coursing through me.
As if my situation wasn’t complicated enough, it just got worse.
Now I have to live with the guilt of banishing my innocent mate and sleeping with another lady barely a week after.
I failed her. Again.
