“The King doesn’t want to see you for now. Call me when you are ready to depart for Starfall Realm!” Sea Serpent King said with a grim face.
“Alright,” Leo nodded generously.
Leo understood Sea Serpent King’s reaction and knew he needed some time to adapt and accept the situation.
Moreover, with Leo’s current strength, he didn’t need Sea Serpent King’s help just yet.
Seeing Leo agree, Sea Serpent King transformed into a deep blue streak of light and shot out of the island at high speed, not wanting to stay a moment longer.
After Sea Serpent King left, Leo turned his gaze to the tall alchemy furnace.
This furnace, named Spirit Flame Alchemy Furnace, was a precious treasure left to him by the remnant soul of Ancient Tyrant Pill Sovereign.
Of course, Leo couldn’t use it yet because, like the Frost God Bow, it was a Spirit Treasure that required Spirit Core power to operate.
Leo stored the Spirit Flame Alchemy Furnace in his Storage Sack.
This trip to the Alchemy Island had been incredibly fruitful for Leo.
Besides obtaining numerous seventh-grade Spirit Fruits, he also refined two Celestial Artifacts: Frost Essence Elixir and Nether Flame.
Additionally, he acquired a detailed map to Starfall Realm, a Spirit Seal Array, and two Spirit Treasures: Frost God Bow and Spirit Flame Alchemy Furnace.
It was time to return.
Leo wondered if those Cultivators had escaped the pursuit of the sea monsters.
As for Seraphina, Leo wasn’t worried because her strength would allow her to retreat safely.
Lastly, he wondered how much Clearwind Town had developed.
With these thoughts in mind, Leo took a step forward. The space before him rippled, and when he reappeared, he was a thousand meters up in the sky.
Then Leo transformed into a streak of light and flew out of the island.
A few minutes later, Leo had left the island far behind.
The sky was vast, with a few white clouds floating high above. Below was the azure sea, and the sea breeze was refreshing and pleasant.
Leo took a deep breath of the salty sea breeze and looked in the direction of Martial Dynasty, accelerating once again.
Half an hour later, Leo’s figure flashed and appeared at the edge of Star Moon Lake.
Ahead of Leo was a forested area.
Just as Leo was about to continue forward, his brow furrowed slightly. He looked in a direction within the forest and sensed a familiar aura.
The outskirts of Star Moon Lake were covered by the vast Starlight Grove, filled with towering trees and numerous beasts.
Near the capital of Martial Dynasty, various families, sects, and rogue cultivators often hunted beasts and searched for Spirit Herbs and ores in Starlight Grove.
At this moment, within a dense part of the forest, an old man in a green robe stained with blood was stumbling through the woods in a desperate escape.
Behind him were three figures in white rune robes pursuing him.
Soon, in a clearing within the forest, the three pursuers surrounded the old man in a triangular formation.
“Where do you think you’re going?” The leader of the pursuers shouted sternly.
The leader had red hair and held a crimson Runeblade in his hand.
The old man in green had a fiery red wound on his chest inflicted by the leader.
Besides the leader, the other two were middle-aged men with mocking smiles on their faces as they looked at the desperate old man.
“Justice, Levi, Harper, your Runecarver Sect is going too far!” The old man shouted angrily with a grim face.
Among the three, Justice had reached mid-stage Spirit Saint level, while Levi and Harper were lower-stage Spirit Saints.
“Haha, this is what happens when you offend Runecarver Sect,” Levi sneered.
“You should blame yourself for following the wrong master. Your master dared to ambush our elder on Pill Sovereign Island! If he hadn’t died at the hands of sea monsters, I would have killed him myself!” Harper said coldly with his arms crossed.
“No way! The lord won’t die!” The old man’s face turned even grimmer as he shook his head in denial.
Levi sneered again. “Ridiculous. Over two thousand Spirit Saints died in the battle on Pill Sovereign Island. Your master should have long been dead.”
“Mike, I didn’t expect you to be so loyal. Since you’re so loyal, we’ll send you to join him,” Harper said coldly.
Justice said sternly, “The sect is attacking that kid’s territory. Let’s kill him quickly and go support the sect.”
“Yes, Elder Justice,” Levi and Harper nodded at the same time.
Justice’s Runeblade glowed with runes as he slashed down, sending hundreds of fiery sword beams towards Mike.
On either side, Harper and Levi each pulled out a fourth-level Talisman and threw them at Mike.
In an instant, hundreds of golden spikes and hundreds of green wind blades filled the clearing.
Three fierce attacks left Mike with no escape route.
Mike’s eyes first showed despair but then determination. Facing three Spirit Saints, he had no choice but to fight to the death.
“I’ll take you down with me even if I die!” Mike roared with bloodshot eyes.
As he spoke, earth-yellow spiritual energy surged around Mike’s body.
“Self-destruction? How laughable,” Justice sneered as his eyes narrowed.
A lower-stage Spirit Saint’s self-destruction wasn’t insignificant in power.
The three were about to retreat when space rippled suddenly. A figure in white stepped out and placed a slender hand on Mike’s shoulder.
The violent spiritual energy within Mike’s body instantly receded like a tide.
With a wave of his sleeve, the white-clad figure dispelled the three fierce attacks aimed at Mike into nothingness.
“Who are you!?” Justice and his companions’ pupils contracted simultaneously as they saw the white-clad figure suppress Mike’s self-destruction effortlessly and dissolve their attacks with ease.
“Are you from Runecarver Sect?” The white-clad figure asked coldly as he looked at Justice.
Seeing the young man beside him clearly, Mike’s face lit up with disbelief and joy. “Lord, it’s you!”
This joy was even greater than surviving death itself.
Leo nodded slightly at Mike.
“Lord? Are you that little lord from Clearwind Town!?” Justice’s face changed dramatically upon hearing Mike address Leo. His eyes filled with intense dread.
As an elder of Runecarver Sect, he knew that Leo had caused significant losses to their sect on Pill Sovereign Island and had killed Elder Thunder!
Levi and Harper’s faces also changed drastically.
“Retreat!” Justice shouted sharply. His voice was almost shrill as he led Levi and Harper in an explosive burst of spiritual energy to flee into the forest.
