As Sylvia lowered her head and unfastened her belt, she was taken aback when she saw the man’s underwear.
She never expected that, at a time like this, he would… feel aroused!
The scene before her made her blood rush to her head, and she couldn’t help but turn away, her cheeks flushing.
When she looked up, she found Franklin staring at her face with his head lowered, while she was half-lying on top of him… this position was a bit too intimate.
She quickly let go of the man and stepped back, only to forget that they were in the restroom of a hot pot restaurant. With a loud bang, she hit her head hard against the back door. “Ouch, that hurts!”
“Are you okay?” the man’s deep voice came from above.
She glared at him in anger. “Are you crazy? This is a hot pot restaurant.”
She huffed and walked out. “I’ll go out first, you can splash cold water on yourself. I’ll have Jax bring you some clothes.”
Before she could take a few steps, her waist suddenly tightened, followed by a sudden cold sensation enveloping her.
She was instantly drenched with cold water.
She frowned and tried to escape, but the man’s arms held her tightly, clearly not wanting to let her go.
“Let go! Splash water on yourself.”
Sylvia looked at him helplessly.
As expected, the man ignored her.
His strength was too great, and she couldn’t break free.
With a sudden twist of his waist, he lifted her up like a baby and pressed her against the farthest wall of the restroom.
She felt the cold touch of the tiles behind her, sending a shiver down her spine.
And then came the overwhelming presence of the man’s muscular body pressing against her.
There was almost no gap between the two, every inch of their skin pressing tightly against each other through the thin fabric of Sylvia’s clothing.
She could almost hear the steady and strong heartbeat of the man.
“Franklin, calm it down. Evie and the kids are still outside,” Sylvia said in a low voice, seeing the flame-like glow in his deep black eyes.
“No-” Franklin’s breath came with a hoarse refusal.
The man’s arms encircled her slender figure, pulling her even closer.
“Stop fooling around, the kids will be anxious waiting.” A trace of helplessness appeared on Sylvia’s beautiful face as she hoped to elicit at least a tiny bit of sympathy from the man, who was like a wolf, so that he would not decide to indulge himself right here and now. “Alex was frightened just now, and I hit my head…”
She rarely spoke in such a coquettish tone.
Franklin’s iron-like arms did not loosen, but he used his left hand to gently pet her head, his large and gentle palm massaging the spot where she had hit her head.
“Does it hurt?”
Sylvia tried to play the role of a pitiful, delicate woman, looking at him with a pout, “Of course it hurts! So let me go.”
The man, aroused, actually felt something here.
She was truly amazed.
His gentle massage on her head felt very comfortable.
While she was lost in thought, Franklin suddenly brushed his thin lips over her hair, pressing a kiss to the spot where she had been hurt. He kissed her hair.
Sylvia was taken aback by this sudden move.
She clearly felt the man’s hot, thin lips traveling down her damp hair.
The warm breath grazing her ear, sliding across her cheeks…
This domineering and cold man was extremely gentle with her in private.
Gentle as if she were a fragile treasure.
She bit her red lips, feeling a current of electricity shoot through her heart.
The man’s heavy breath was incredibly close, tightly enveloping her.
Cold water fell, drenching both of their bodies.
Although Sylvia was still dressed, the fabric clung tightly to her body after being drenched, her elegant figure instantly revealed to the man’s eyes, the clothes providing no concealment at all.
The man’s gaze burned even hotter.
Sylvia’s cheeks flushed.
She realized her hands were still circling his neck, panting next to his lips.
Startled, she hurriedly pushed him away, “Franklin, call Jax and ask him to prepare a new set of clothes for me too.”
Damn it, she couldn’t leave in this state.
She could only stay with him here.
Seeing her appearance, the man couldn’t help but laugh lowly, his chest trembling.
“Alright.”
Although they had been together for many years, she occasionally pouted, especially before they were divorced, when she pouted more frequently.
After the divorce, she seemed like a different person, even though they had come back together after the divorce.
She rarely pouted now.
Seeing her like this, he couldn’t help but smile, his black eyes watching her every move with a tender look.
No matter how many times he looked, she was beautiful.
A smile involuntarily appeared on his thin lips.
Jax arrived about ten minutes later. He not only brought clean new clothes but also some burn medication.
He passed the items through the bathroom door and tried to squeeze in.
“Master Franklin, let me help you apply the medication?”
“No need,” Franklin replied, locking the bathroom door again.
Sylvia took the medicine box and opened it, finding some burn ointment, some breathable gauze, and cotton swabs.
She said to the man, who had dried himself, “Turn around, let me help you apply the medication.”
Franklin’s eyes flickered but he didn’t speak, obediently turning around.
Seeing the large red burn on the man’s back, she felt a twinge of pain. Especially in the spots where blisters had formed; those were the most painful and uncomfortable.
She carefully applied the medication, fearing she might hurt him.
But he was silent.
Sylvia didn’t spend too much time. After applying the medication, she let it dry for a few minutes before bandaging him up, so the medicine wouldn’t be wasted on the clothes.
The man stretched out his arm to start dressing, passing another set of women’s clothes to Sylvia, “Hurry up and change, be careful not to catch a cold.”
Sylvia nodded. It took them about ten minutes to tidy up.
They had been in the bathroom for nearly an hour.
When the manager saw the man walking out without any expression, he breathed a sigh of relief.
These were the President’s son and daughter-in-law! If something happened to them in his restaurant, his business would be over.
“Mr. Maskelyne, I will compensate you…”
The manager hurried to speak, hoping Franklin and Sylvia would be lenient.
Sylvia, however, calmly replied, “There’s no need. It was our child who was too young, causing this accident. It has nothing to do with your restaurant.”
The manager was taken aback, what? She said no compensation was needed?
She was so reasonable?
He thought they would take the opportunity to extort money from the restaurant…
Alex had already stopped crying and was sitting at another table with Evie and Jaime, eating hotpot. Evie had been feeding him a lot, and he was almost full.
His big eyes occasionally looked towards the direction of the bathroom.
Finally, when he saw the couple come out, he struggled to jump down from his baby chair.
Evie quickly picked him up, and he ran straight to Franklin, hugging the man’s long, strong legs, “Godfather, I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to. Did I hurt you?”
The man easily scooped him up with one hand, placing him in his arms.
He held the baby with such fluid motions, quickly fastening the loose buttons on the little boy’s shirt, looking as if this were a daily routine.
His gaze softened as he looked at the boy in his arms, his usually cold countenance warming a bit.
At this moment, he no longer looked cold and indifferent, almost giving off a sense of a homey father.
Anyone who didn’t know would think Alex was his beloved biological son.
“It doesn’t hurt,” the man replied in his cool voice.
Alex wrapped his little hands around his neck, feeling the warmth of his strong embrace, and he suddenly felt a bit sad, close to tears. It wasn’t that he liked to cry, but he was so young and couldn’t control himself.
“Godfather, I won’t be naughty anymore.”
“I’m fine, we can still play the toss game,” Franklin said, looking at the little boy’s face.
Alex’s mood was instantly lifted by the prospect of playing the toss game. He blinked his eyes, looking at him with anticipation, “Really?”
The man’s arms lifted the boy he held, and he tossed him into the air.
The little boy immediately let out a delighted cry, and he was caught steadily by Franklin’s strong arms when he landed.
“Amazing, Godfather is amazing!” He cried out, expecting to be tossed again into the air, loving this game.
Previously, when Sierra was busy, and with her strength, she couldn’t possibly toss him up.
So he often envied those children who could be tossed by their fathers.
Now, with Godfather Franklin, who was very strong, he didn’t have to worry about falling, because Franklin always caught him firmly.
This feeling was incredibly amazing.
Sylvia, seeing Alex’s happy smile, glanced at Franklin, “Come, have some food. Be careful not to burst the blisters on your back.”
It was impossible for the husband not to listen to his wife’s words, so the two of them immediately sat down by the pot, picking up their chopsticks to eat.
Evie looked at the couple with concern, “How is it? Is the injury serious?”
Jaime had just retracted his envious look and returned his attention to the slice of beef in front of him.
Before Dad was hospitalized, I used to be tossed a lot… Never mind, we’ll do it when Dad gets better.
“It should heal in a while, burns are the most uncomfortable,” Sylvia replied softly, not wanting Alex to still feel guilty, so she said to the child, “It’s good that you bravely admitted your mistake, but remember, don’t be so naughty and climb on the table again.”
“I know,” Alex quickly picked up some lamb and passed it to Franklin, “Godfather, eat.”
His eager appearance made everyone laugh uncontrollably.
Sylvia, looking at the still full table of dishes, was a bit surprised, “You guys didn’t eat while waiting for us, right?”
