“How many Greater Sovereigns are you sending over in a few days?” Molly blinked, thinking she had misheard.
Did Flynn really have the capability to command Greater Sovereigns?
“Yeah, I need to forge a sword out of iron meteorite. It’ll be of great use in the future,” Flynn replied casually.
“There can’t be any mistakes!”
Molly hesitated. “Wait, did you just say Greater Sovereigns…?”
“Do you still want my help or not?” Flynn interrupted impatiently.
He wasn’t in the mood to explain. The Shadow Brothers had already annoyed him earlier, almost contaminating the iron meteorite. Now Molly was piling on with her endless questions.
If the George family hadn’t been friends with his mother, Flynn wouldn’t have bothered with this girl!
“Oh…” Molly muttered, stepping aside with the others onto an open area.
Flynn glanced at Kendal and the others, frowning. “Huh? You’re Blademasters?”
He suddenly remembered-when he’d first met Molly, she had indeed been carrying a longsword.
Athena stepped forward and nodded. “Yes, we are pure Blademasters. We’ve been training under our master in the Alwood Mountains since childhood. However, due to certain events, our progress in cultivation has been stalled.”
“Our master divined our fate and said our opportunity lies in the mortal world, so we descended from the mountains to train.”
Flynn chuckled. “Your master’s divination was spot on.”
“That works perfectly. Blademasters have the purest inner energy, ideal for merging with the spiritual essence of Jade Dragon Mountain,” Flynn remarked.
No wonder Molly had advanced so quickly after he helped refine her bones and muscles. She had gone from a near-Grandmaster to the peak of Grandmaster in just one month.
It turned out she was a Blademaster.
Boom! Crack! Roar!
Flynn began opening the meridians and acupoints of Athena, her six companions, and Ronald.
Before the others could cry out in pain, Flynn motioned for Molly to step forward. Raising one hand, he made a simple gesture.
A low rumble emerged from the ground, as if a dragon trapped beneath Jade Dragon Mountain was struggling to break free.
The earth trembled slightly, though not enough to cause alarm.
As the group looked on, confused about what Flynn was doing, invisible strands of spiritual energy began to rise from the ground. They danced gracefully in the air, delicate yet strong, like unseen threads weaving everything together.
Molly and the others immediately felt a soothing warmth spreading through their bodies, their pores opening like gills, absorbing the spiritual energy as if it were water.
The energy coursed through them, breaking through barriers and flowing into their limbs and bones. The pain they had felt moments ago was replaced by a surge of boundless internal power.
Molly, having previously had her meridians opened, experienced an even greater sensation. It was like feathers brushing gently against her skin-an unprecedented comfort.
“Go test it by the cliff,” Flynn instructed after ten minutes, leading them to the edge of a steep precipice.
Below, a sea of clouds stretched endlessly, concealing countless mountain peaks. It was the same place where Flynn had previously scattered the clouds with a single hand.
“Let’s see what you can do now,” he said.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
The eight of them stood in a line, unleashing their full strength as they struck the dense cloud layer with their fists.
Eight powerful blasts erupted, like massive cannonballs exploding in the air. The energy rippled outward, scattering the sea of clouds entirely.
The vast mountain range below was revealed, every peak laid bare. Not a single wisp of cloud remained.
“We… we scattered the sea of clouds!” someone exclaimed, eyes wide with disbelief.
“Ronald and Athena are now Lesser Sovereigns,” Flynn announced matter-of-factly.
“Molly has absorbed the most spiritual essence, thanks to the body-tempering medicines she’s been taking, so she’s also a Lesser Sovereign now.”
“Kendal and the others aren’t far behind-they’ve all become Great Grandmasters.”
As Flynn explained their advancements, Molly and her seven sisters were moved to tears. They embraced each other tightly.
Seven sisters. Two Lesser Sovereigns. Five Great Grandmasters. It was unbelievable.
If they had relied solely on their own efforts, they would never have reached such heights in their lifetimes. Yet Flynn had made it happen with ease.
Molly had mentioned Flynn’s methods to them before, but they still didn’t understand what he had done with that simple hand gesture earlier.
“I used the spiritual essence of Jade Dragon Mountain to nourish your bones, blood, and qi,” Flynn said nonchalantly.
“Wait, that’s possible?” Kendal asked, astonished.
Flynn’s words opened a door to a new world for them. This was a method they had never even heard of.
After all, they weren’t privy to the secrets of the highest circles. But one thing was clear-Flynn was far stronger than they had imagined.
Ronald, however, couldn’t help but grumble. “Boss, Athena used to be just a peak Grandmaster, while I was already a Semi Lesser Sovereign. Now we’re both at the same level…”
“She’s a Blademaster. You’re just an Adept. Can you even compare?” Flynn said impatiently.
“You’d better focus on guarding Jade Dragon Mountain. The spiritual energy here is abundant, and I’ve infused the Dragonsfire Cauldron with another layer of essence. It’ll benefit you greatly.”
“If you stay here and guard it, by the time I forge my sword, you’ll have reached Semi Greater Sovereign,” Flynn added.
Ronald was stunned, tears welling up in his eyes. He nodded repeatedly, overwhelmed with gratitude.
The boss was a legend, truly unparalleled.
It had taken him three years of seclusion to advance from Great Grandmaster to peak Great Grandmaster. But now, just by guarding Flynn’s Dragonsfire Cauldron, he could reach Semi Greater Sovereign in ten days!
Ronald couldn’t help but wonder-was Flynn even human?
Flynn turned to Molly. “I always thought you were an Adept because your energy wasn’t pure. You’ve probably dabbled in too many techniques over the years.”
Molly nodded heavily.
After her senior brother’s death, she had been deeply affected. Her cultivation had stagnated, and she had fallen into self-doubt.
In desperation, she had tried to switch to the Adept path, experimenting with various techniques-all to no avail.
This was why Molly had been in such a poor state of mind when she first met Flynn.
“Since you’re a Blademaster, stop messing around with other paths. Focus on the Way of the Sword,” Flynn said calmly.
“Your future achievements will be significant.”
“I have a sword technique here. Sixteen moves in total. I’ll send it to you later.”
“Really?!” Molly’s face lit up as she clung to Flynn’s arm, her dimples deepening with joy. “Can I share it with my sisters?”
Flynn’s expression darkened. “Do whatever you want.”
“Thank you, Boss! Thank you, Master!” Molly beamed, throwing a proud glance at her sisters.
She was clearly taking full advantage of Flynn’s favoritism.
“Lord Valerian Nox, we vow to follow you forever!” Athena said, bowing deeply in gratitude.
The events of the day felt like a dream. They had no way to repay Lord Valerian Nox except with their loyalty.
Flynn didn’t respond. Instead, he turned to Molly. “Go pack your things. We’re heading to Slatin tomorrow.”
To Flynn, it was no big deal. He had many followers and didn’t particularly care for Athena and her group. If not for Molly’s request, he wouldn’t have bothered with them.
Yet it was Athena’s pledge of loyalty that would later prove invaluable to Flynn, giving rise to the legend of “The Seven Swords of Chillridge.”
