ANASTASIA
“How many now?” Arnold asked a guard who came over to make a report concerning the drugs they stole from the enemies.
I should be excited that my Alpha Lord was able to pull this mission off without allowing Beta Xavier to succeed in his plan, but… I’m really scared.
In fact, I feel so guilty right now.
That’s because the crates of drug Diego and his men grabbed, got damaged during their battle with Woods and the other wolves. Or maybe it got damaged when I made myself present, causing a disrupt in their fight.
We discovered this when we arrived back here at the mansion early in the morning, and began offloading the crates.
I was standing away from Diego when he suddenly noticed something off about the crates the guards were pulling out from the van.
Some of the liquids were black and some bottles were empty!
That sent Diego into a terrifying rampage on his men!
You need to see the way he roared out in fury, almost unleashing his wrath on one of the guards!
Goodness! My whole body trembled at his anger.
“DAMN!!” He shouted, kicking the side of the van.
I was so scared when I saw this.
My heart was racing so fast, to the point of forcing myself to hide behind Arnold for safety, hoping Diego won’t transfer that rage on me.
He’s still coming for me. His eyes and silence showed it throughout the journey.
Beta Arnold read my body language and did what a true friend would do. He shielded me, just in case Diego turns to attack me for my action.
He understood my fear.
“My effort can’t go to waste! Check everything quickly!” Diego had ordered them before storming into the mansion in anger.
He didn’t look at my direction nor at his Beta.
He was so mad.
And since then, he has been in his room, waiting for Arnold to visit him with a good report on the drug.
But I fear Diego’s anger will only increase when he hears this report from his Beta.
“The damage was much. We could only retrieve five undamaged bottles from the crates,” The guard reported with his head bowed.
This report made Arnold unhappy. The Beta gave out a sigh, wiping his face with his left hand.
“Damn it. All that struggle for this? Goddess, why’s this happening?” He groaned.
Where I sat on the couch listening to their conversations, I felt my heart beating real fast while thinking of Diego’s reaction.
He’s going to get wild when he hears this, and it’s all because of me.
“I only wanted to save him from Xavier’s plan. I didn’t mean to ruin the mission,” I blamed myself from within, staring at Arnold and the guard.
The Beta managed to calm his worry by telling the guard to bring the drug over. “At least it’s better than nothing. I hope we can still work with those five bottles. What do you think, Anna?” He asked me with a smile on his face.
“Huh? Um… I guess so,” I uttered with a lump in my throat. I wasn’t expecting him to ask me.
Maybe he noticed my mood and felt like carrying me along, so I won’t feel upset with everything that’s happening.
But that won’t change the damage that has taken place already.
I feel so awful.
Arnold sent the guard to bring the drug. When he left, the Beta walked up to me and asked, sitting beside me, “Are you okay?”
I hummed my response with a nod, while wrapping my arms across my chest.
“Are you sure?”
“Hmm,” I repeated.
Arnold went silent for a few minutes before letting out a sigh. Then he said while placing his hand on my shoulder, “Anna, you don’t have to be afraid. You were only trying to help and nothing else.”
“Will Diego see it that way?” I asked, looking at the Beta with fear in my eyes.
Arnold wanted to say something but went shut. He turned his head to the other side and began staring at the ground,
When I saw this, my anxiety increased.
His silence almost made me conclude that he had no answer to my question, until I saw the Beta’s lips curling to the side with a light smile appearing on his face.
That’s when Arnold gave me his reply, saying, “I’m sure the Alpha will understand you, Anna. You didn’t disobey him without a clear reason. You tried to reach out to us but couldn’t.”
“Still, my presence ruined everything,” I pointed out, feeling hurt.
“If I had stayed back and allowed him to carry out everything according to his plan, by now we won’t have only five bottles of that drug in our hold but a large crate. It’s all my fault,” I said sadly, trying to hold back the tears welling in my eyes.
Everything was going well for us until this happened. Why is the Goddess allowing this to befall Diego and I? Why this problems and pains?
“Stop blaming yourself for what happened.” Arnold turned to face me, taking hold of my hands.
“Just because you showed up to stop that jackass from fulfilling his mission, doesn’t mean the plan flopped because of that. No Anna, you aren’t to blame. And I’m sure Alpha Diego isn’t mad at you for that. I doubt it,” Arnold said, trying to make me feel better.
But it was hard for me to believe it.
I want to tell myself that I didn’t contribute to this mess, but when I recall the look in Diego’s eyes and his silence all through our drive back to Crescent… I can’t help but feel troubled.
It’s like I threw my Alpha back into that terrifying attitude I’ve been enduring for a whole month.
The same mood that almost ran me mad and drew us apart from each other.
Oh heavens… I’m so worried!
“Are you listening to me,” Arnold called, pulling me out of my thoughts.
When he stared into my eyes, he said, reading my eyeballs, “You are still scared of him, aren’t you? You think he’ll attack you like before and… Don’t worry,” He paused, rising to his feet.
That’s when the Beta suggested a solution that got me feeling troubled even more.
“Why don’t you go and see Diego yourself and explain what happened? You already told me your part of the story. I’m sure he deserves to hear it as well. Then we’ll know if he’s mad at you or not. Try it,” He said, smirking.
His idea sounded like a death sentence to me. But with the confidence all over Arnold’s face, I felt I was being unjust by not seeing Diego.
I’m allowing my fear to take over my mind without going to confirm if he’ll rage at me like before.
It’s just that his past approach has left a negative impact on me. My body trembles whenever he gets mad at something which involves me. It has reshaped me into a weak and scared woman.
But if my Diego means what he said to me, then… Then I have no choice but to see him.
I’ll talk to him and just brace myself for whatever result that comes in.
“Go and see him. I’ll go and get the drugs and send it to Jeremy. It’s important for him to start working on the cure so we can save you,” Arnold said with a smile, before exiting the living room, leaving me behind.
After thinking about this, I slowly got to my feet and made my way to Diego’s room.
I was walking slowly while planning how to start the conversation with the Alpha.
I don’t want anything that will make his anger expand from the level it’s in at the moment.
When I finally got to there, I gulped down my saliva and forced a knock on the door.
But there was no response coming from inside. I knocked for the third and second time, and I still got the same result. That got me wondering if the Alpha was inside or not.
“But I can pick his scent coming from the room.” I perceived.
But what’s Diego doing?
Is he ignoring me?
Dropping my gaze on the knob, I took a bold step and opened the Alpha’s door, inviting myself into his room.
When I got in, I realized Diego wasn’t there. In fact, I could hear the sound of the shower pouring from the bathroom.
That means he’s taking a bath.
“Maybe I’ll come back later when he’s done,” I decided, turning around to leave. But my feet wouldn’t move. It got stuck to the ground.
It wasn’t just my legs that failed me but my hands and heart as well.
I found myself remembering the sweet moments with my Alpha Lord in the bathroom, when we’ll bath together and get all naughty under the running water.
Those moments brought a smile to my face. I could feel my eyes getting teary just from the memories.
“Diego,” I called his name softly, running my left hand on my breast, with a gentle squeeze to my tit.
The memories didn’t just bring a smile to my face but ignited my hunger for my Alpha’s body.
My clitories tingled at the thought of him bathing naked under the water all by himself.
“It’s been long I went naked before my Alpha Lord and sucked his hard cock. That beautiful rod has been deprived of my touch for so long. I need to be there to caress and massage its… What am I doing?!” I was stunned by my unexpected action!
Due to the infection in my system, I had made my way to the bathroom door with my hand slipped into my pant without knowing!
It looked like I was under a spell!
Terrified by this, I wanted to leave Diego’s room at once, but when I heard my Alpha’s voice from inside the bathroom, my body triggered, forcing me to stay.
Tempted, I opened the door and saw Diego under the shower, with his head facing up. He stood there with that beautiful hot figure of his, feeling the coolness of the water pouring down from his face to his body.
And as I stared on, looking right at that monster dick of his, my body shivered hungrily. It felt like I was seeing his figure for the first time. So… Tempting and alluring to behold.
Just then, I felt my wolf trying to switch places with me! I got so scared and tried to step away, but I couldn’t move!
“Anna, pull yourself together,” I moaned, putting my hand back into my panty to calm my hunger.
But this drug in my blood was getting out of hand. I could feel mu wolf getting real hard!
Remembering Jeremy’s warning, I decided to drag myself to my room and find a way to calm my itch, but my wolf suddenly overpowered and forced me into the bathroom with speed!
I came staggering inside the room, almost falling to the ground. Quickly, I got myself and sparked out, “ENOUGH!” Managing to get my beast under control with a strong hold.
As I stayed down, trying to catch my breathe from this problem, “Anna?” My heart skipped when I heard my name from Diego!
“Shoot! I’m inside the bathroom!” I panicked within, getting scared.
Slowly, I lifted my head and found Diego staring at me. He was in shock, probably because of my abnormal behavior.
“What was that?” He asked, stepping away from the shower.
When I saw this, I drew back, feeling my itch rising again. I don’t want my wolf springing out to mate with Diego. It’s important to keep him safe.
Jeremy warned me, so I have to do this until we finally get a cure.
“Nothing,” I lied, struggling to hold the urge while drawing back to the door.
But before I could step out and keep my flee away from Diego, he suddenly pulled me back, shutting the door lock to stop me from leaving!
This made me really worried!
“Diego.”
“You want to lie to my face?” He uttered in anger, frightening me in my spot!
The look in his eyes were scary. I could sense his rage and feared I made a mistake by coming over to speak to him.
“You are reacting to the infection yet you’re lying that it’s nothing. Have you forgotten what Jeremy told you about resisting?!”
“I… I haven’t,” I stammered, lowering my head down in fear.
Diego wasn’t done. He kept yelling at me for trying to hide it and scolded me for being stubborn.
It’s clear that he knows nothing about the drug level in my system, but his anger is a sign that I was right.
Diego is mad at me for interrupting his mission. He kept hammering on the part that I’m stubborn and never listen to his order.
That’s a clear proof that my presence ruined his plans at the port.
“We can’t keep repeating this instruction to you, over and over. Too much resistance will…”
“I know,” I interrupted sadly, wrapping my arms across my chest without looking into Diego’s scary eyes.
I didn’t want my tears to flow out, otherwise I’d get really hurt just by looking at them.
“I didn’t forget the instruction. It just kicked in when I saw you bathing,” I said, fighting my emotions.
Diego had gone silent when I said that.
Still, I didn’t look at him, due to fright of meeting his raging gaze. I kept myself in the position I was in, explaining myself to him.
“I only came here to tell you my side of the story,” I said.
I told Diego all that happened from those ladies to Woods devilish plan. “I just wanted to save you from getting killed that’s why I took that step. My… My intention wasn’t to ruin your mission. I only wanted to help. I’m… Sorry,” I apologized.
“Wait, ruin my mission?” Diego picked that statement, sounding surprised.
I lifted my eyes when I heard his soft tone and found Diego’s terrifying gaze gone. He looked calmer and… hurt.
“Isn’t that the reason behind your anger?” I asked, feeling my heart pounding.
That’s when he replied in astonishment, “No,” Drawing closer to me.
My eyes came a bit wide in surprise when I heard Diego.
So, I’m not the cause of his anger? This means Arnold was right.
“Why will I blame you for that?” He cupped my face, looking deep into my eyes. “You didn’t do anything so why will you think that?”
“I… I thought…” I stammered, feeling my cheeks turning red at his touch.
“Is it because of the way I…” He paused, understanding everything.
That’s how my Diego became guilty when he realized his temper led to that conclusion.
He felt so upset with himself and innocently pulled me into his arms for an embrace, apologizing to me for scarying me with his behavior.
I was hurt when I heard his apology. But why didn’t he talk to me all through? Why did he give me that same creepy eyes?
“I won’t lie to you, Anna. I was only angry with myself for not killing Woods. I had the chance to end that man but didn’t. He got away,” He confessed, giving me an answer.
Diego’s rage was caused by Woods, again.
It’s that evil man’s doing.
