Harley’s POV
I knew my mates were acting differently but I ignored them. At least I tried to because I thought they were doing that to spite me due to how I had kept my feelings to myself.
It was wrong of me but I felt like they were doing a little revenge of their own, which I choose to really not pay much attention to until from nowhere Sophie and Glen barged into my room.
It was very startling but they gave a few excuses of how they had thought they had heard a sudden noise from my room.
At first I didn’t think much about the situation and told them they just had been mistaken. But some minutes went by with them talking a lot, as if they were trying to keep me in the dark over something.
That’s why I asked Sophie if something was going on, but she brushed it off and told me to ignore any noise because the warriors were training in front of the pack house. Her excuse made no sense that’s why I turned to Glen and asked him if he was keeping something from me.
He hesitated but gave in even when Sophie tried to stop him.
Finding out how there was an intruder in the pack who might harm one of my mates didn’t sit well with me. I couldn’t stay in my room no matter what.
As I came out of the pack house the warriors were surrounding Sky and an elderly woman who was very beautiful. When she looked at me with a smile, she quickly approached me, making me feel uneasy.
She wore a black outfit that looked like a combate attire that had a big leather belt around her waist.
Her hair was long, white with black roots and tied into a braid.
Her eyes were the same color as mine but her height was close to Sky’s.
“Harley is it? I am Corinne, your aunt,” she said cheerfully when she stood in front of me and pulled me into a tight hug.
I stood there feeling confused. When she pulled back, she moved her free hand to my head gently brushing my hair.
“You look just like her when she was in her early adult stage. You are very much like her, oh my god,” she whispered with a smile.
I looked at Sky seriously with a frown.
“Oh my, you must be feeling confused,” the woman said when she dropped her hand.
“Let’s start again,” she said and then grabbed my hand gently with her free one.
“Hi dear, I am your aunt Corinne and I have come here to meet and take you back to your mother,” she said as I quickly pulled my hand away and took a few steps back.
“I don’t know what you are talking about, stranger,” I answered loudly.
She coldly looked at me and then put the golden crest in her pocket and sighed.
“I’m assuming no one told you that I would be coming here,” she said, then quickly glanced at Sky for a second.
“But I am truly your Aunt and I know by instinct who you are. Just seeing you has made me a hundred percent positive that you are our Queen’s daughter,” she said as I took a few more steps back.
“No,” I whispered softly.
“Harley is the name given to you by your mother and your dragon’s blessed name is Jade,” she said as I widened my eyes.
“You see, werewolves when they come of age and get their wolf from their Moon goddess or whatever it is, their wolves present their names to the human side. But for us it’s different, before our dragon comes to terms with us, they are blessed with a name by their guardian and parents,” she said seriously.
“Your dragon came to term once your powers began to manifest, didn’t it? For us it’s not about age but emotions that make our powers awake or manifest, awakening our dragon. Look sweetie, you can feel it how I’m telling you the truth isn’t it?” she asked as I laughed mockingly.
“That’s a Lucky guess, anyone can tell me that,” I answered coldly.
“When you part your hair on the front left side you have a mark that looks like a star birthmark. Everyone in our family has one,” she said as I felt stuck.
No one has ever seen the mark, not even my mates.
“There is also another way to prove that you are of royalty and my blood,” she said as I powerlessly watched as she removed the crest from her pocket and took a step back.
She raised the crest as if she was showing it to me clearly.
“My blood, her blood, our blood, our bond, bound by one for all eternity,” she whispered as I felt a sharp sting against my shoulder which made me wince in pain.
“What are you doing to her!” Sky growled furiously as he moved to my side with Glen.
“Check her left shoulder,” she instructed.
Sky looked at me apologetically then moved her hand to my blouse carefully moving it a little.
We all were shocked to see the same crest and dragon symbol on my shoulder like a tattoo.
“What the fuck did you do to her? She didn’t have this,” Glen yelled in disbelief as the woman grabbed the collar of her outfit slightly, pulling it down and showing us the same tattoo.
“I did nothing, did you not hear me when I said only words?” She asked seriously.
“For all we know you could be a witch!” Sky growled.
“I do admit we have a few witches in our territories that’s why I can even move like that, you know disappearing a few times, but I am no witch,” she answered.
“The words I said weren’t a curse either or anything dangerous. They are words used to welcome our own bloodline back into our territories. And the symbol on her shoulder which has appeared is what everyone of royalty has, all they have to do is carefully look at the crest and it does the rest,” she said seriously.
“As I said, if I was here for war, by now you all could have been dead!” She said and this time I felt a strong invisible force hit me as her eyes changed.
Glen and Sky slightly took a step back as the others stumbled a bit.
“Don’t make me use my anger when we can talk this out peacefully,” she warned and then looked at me coldly.
“Jade, can we trust her?” I asked my dragon silently.
“Yes, I fear there are no lies in her words,” she answered in a low tone as I felt my heart ache.
I had so much to say, but above all what I was feeling in the moment wasn’t anger but hate.
