CHAPTER 111

Book:Stepbrothers Punish Me Every Night Published:2025-3-17

Mia’s POV
I opened my eyes and found myself somewhere I didn’t recognize. It was so dark, and I could hardly see. It was still daytime, but there was fog in this part of the woods. Not only that, but I could see my blood everywhere on the floor-yet I felt fine.
Memories of what happened to me earlier started flashing through my mind the moment I looked up and saw the cliff. Not just that, but I also started recalling memories from the past-how I was pushed down the cliffs by those girls.
This feels like the exact same thing happening to me again, and I don’t know what to do. My body started to tremble, and I got so scared. There’s no one to look for me or help me. Those brothers are probably going to be happy that they got rid of me.
This way, no one will tell the world what they did to me, and the story will end there. Even if someone else said it, they probably wouldn’t believe them because there is no evidence. I’m the only living proof, and now I’m going to die here.
“Mia! I’ve already healed you. You have to try your best to get out of here! You can’t let the fear of the past engulf you. Nothing is wrong with you now!” my wolf tried to talk to me, but I couldn’t listen.
I was so scared the whole time, and I hid somewhere. No one came looking for me. I couldn’t hear anything for hours. I cried and continued to hide myself. For a moment, I started to think about life after death.
What have I even done in this life?
All I’ve ever gone through is suffering. And now that I’m trying to be stronger, I get bullied again. This isn’t what is supposed to be happening to me. I’m the white wolf, yet my bad luck is worse than any other werewolf in this world.
“No one is coming to look for us. They don’t care about us at all. The only person that cares about me probably won’t find me, and that is Daisy.”
“You are actually wrong. They are indeed looking for us. Everyone is looking for us now,” she assured me.
But I knew she was just trying to make me feel better about the situation. I didn’t expect anything less from them anyway. They were the ones that pushed me all the way down before in the past. It wouldn’t be too hard for them to do it again.
“MIA! MIA!! WHERE ARE YOU, MIA?” I heard familiar voices calling for me.
I thought it was an illusion-my brain tricking me, giving me false hope that people were looking for me. But I was wrong. The voices started getting closer, and the noise was getting louder. People really were looking for me. Most of the voices came from the boys. They were the only ones bold enough to come this far to search for me.
But I was hiding where they would hardly find me. I couldn’t come out as my leg was giving out. I couldn’t shout or reply to them either. I could only stay there and tremble. For a moment, I didn’t want them to come close to me.
What if they are looking for me to see if I’m actually dead or not? Would they try to kill me again?
This was all I could think about as the noise got closer. They finally got to where I was, and they were looking around for me.
I buried my head in my legs and wrapped my arms around myself, hoping no one would find me. Even though I had wanted people to find me before, I felt a tap on my body, and I jumped in fright.
“Mia! Are you okay? What happened to you?” It was Nathan who found me first.
“There’s blood on the ground. Does that blood belong to you? What happened here? We’ve been looking everywhere for you but couldn’t find you! Someone said something happened to you again. Are they behind this too?”
He signaled to the rest of them that he found me. I looked as they all rushed toward me, asking questions, but I couldn’t say a word. I just stared at them until I felt my body going weak and saw that darkness again.
When I opened my eyes, I was looking at Daisy, who was worried about me. I couldn’t say a thing, and I let my eyes wander around. I could see that there were other people in the room, including the brothers, watching over me.
“Mia! You’re finally awake! How are you doing? Are you okay?” she asked desperately.
I tried to sit up, and she helped me. “What happened to me?” I asked her.
“You were found at the bottom of the cliff in the woods. It seemed like you fell down from there. Do you remember what happened to you?”
The image of what happened started playing in my mind again, and I couldn’t help but cry. It was so painful-going down the cliff like that, watching all my bones break at the same time, watching the ones who pushed me down laugh at me like it was nothing. Just because I tried my best at something.
I couldn’t help but start crying while Daisy hugged me. She comforted me, and it took me a while to slow down on the tears.
“You must have been so scared all alone there,” Daisy said.
“I didn’t deserve what happened. Those girls are just mean to me!”
“Girls? Who are they? You mean they are the ones behind what happened to you?”
“They pushed me down the cliff, and I did nothing wrong. All I did was get more flags, and they wanted to take them forcefully away from me. Because of that, they tried to kill me! What did I ever do wrong? Why does everyone want me dead?”
Daisy hugged me again. “Stop crying, please. It’s not your fault. It’s the fault of those idiots, and I swear I’m going to kill every one of them if I catch them.”
Xavier moved closer to the bed, and I could see his eyes red with anger. They were probably waiting for me to wake up and mention who did this to me so they could take revenge on my behalf. But I don’t need them for that.
“Tell us who did this to you, and we will make sure they pay with their lives!” he said.
But I shook my head. “I appreciate you coming to help me out of there, but stay out of this. I’m going to make sure they pay for what they did to me on my own.”
