CHAPTER 109

Book:Stepbrothers Punish Me Every Night Published:2025-3-17

Xavier’s POV
We couldn’t believe what we were hearing. We just came to help someone who was getting bullied, and now we were being framed for it by Mia. It’s not as if we didn’t expect something like this from her-we just didn’t think that she would try to ruin our reputation this way.
“Why is she doing this to us? She clearly knows that’s not the truth. Could she have planned all of this?” Rolex asked me.
I nodded. “You’re right. She planned all of this, knowing we would come here. You know she sent us a text to meet here.”
We all looked at her again, and she had a sinister smile on her face. If we can’t prove that we didn’t bully this boy, then our reputation could be gone. If we get kicked out of this place, our pack will be nothing but a joke in the werewolf world.
“She’s going all out just to ruin us, isn’t she?” Nathan said.
The only person who can help us now is the bullied boy. He’s the only one who can truly confess whether we did it or not, but looking at the way he’s acting, I don’t think he’s ready to give up his bullies.
“What is going on here? We heard there was some bullying happening, and I thought we already mentioned that this should not happen on the camping grounds?” the head coordinator said.
I moved closer to him. “This is a misunderstanding. We should clear this up. We never bullied anyone-we just tried to help him from getting bullied.”
“Are you seriously going to lie your way out of this? Everyone here saw you all holding the boy like that. Who could have beaten him up like that if it wasn’t you?” Mia attacked me.
I know she’s doing all of this to get back at us, but isn’t this a little bit too much? If we were to expose her here now, she might get kicked out, and she wouldn’t forgive us anymore. This is why we have to endure everything she’s doing to us-because at the end of the day, she is still at the upper end of the stick.
“We didn’t beat him up. This is the bullied boy-you can ask him if we were responsible for doing it or not.” I pushed him toward the coordinator.
The boy looked back at us and then at everyone watching him. I’m very sure everyone here must know that we are not the ones bullying him, but they are all hypocrites. They all want to see someone fall, and they will look for any excuse they can use at that time.
“Is it true that they didn’t bully you? If so, who is the real person bullying you?” the coordinator asked.
The boy remained silent for a while, and I could see that he was scared. I didn’t have any time to wait for this, so I went out and pulled the bully and the rest of his minions forward.
“I don’t know if you’re trying to frame us or not, but these are the people we caught bullying him, and we tried to help him out. That is the truth,” I explained.
“Look carefully and say the truth. You better know what you’re doing, and don’t dare to lie at all. Did we bully you or not?” I asked him.
Mia stepped forward. “Why are you threatening him? It’s obvious you’re trying to frame other people for what you did. Just because we came together doesn’t mean I will defend you!”
I looked at her without saying anything. I know she’s trying to make everything worse, but we are going to get out of this easily. First, the bullies are scared of us. Secondly, that boy is also scared of us. They wouldn’t dare to lie, even if they wanted to-unless they don’t want to keep their lives anymore.
“Are you going to say the truth or not? You’re keeping everyone waiting. What is the truth in this situation?” the coordinator asked the boy again.
I tapped his shoulder with a smile. “Are you going to speak up, or should I make you?”
“See? Forcing him to speak up is bullying!” Mia exclaimed.
“They didn’t bully me! It was them!” the boy said, pointing his hand toward his real bullies.
“Are you out of your mind? Do you want me to beat you up?” the leader of the bullies shouted at him.
Beat him up? Everyone looked at him as he made a fool of himself. He just ended up mentioning what would give him away as the bully.
“You’ve been beating me up for a very long time! You even brought me here for your amusement just to beat me! I don’t care anymore-just kill me if you want, but I won’t let you blame other people for what you did!” The boy finally spoke up against them.
Maybe what Mia did today was good. If they get arrested, they won’t be able to bully him anymore, and they will be kicked out of this camp. Also, they won’t have a good reputation anymore, so even if they want to hurt the boy, he can be reassured that he will have protection from now on.
“Since the truth has been revealed, I will need you all to come with me so that the investigation can start. You better not think of resisting,” the coordinator warned the bullies.
After a while of talking and testifying, we were finally told to go on our own. We found Mia waiting outside for us, looking so unhappy. She must have wanted us to get kicked out badly, since she didn’t look happy to see us free.
“You guys were released pretty fast. Are you sure this investigation is truthful at all?” she said to us.
“You know better than anyone that this investigation is the truth. You did try to frame us again this time, but it didn’t work. Maybe you should work harder on this,” I said to her.
She frowned. “Are you trying to mock me? How about I should have let you die that day? Then maybe you wouldn’t be here talking to me now!”
Sean pushed me backward and moved closer to her. “I don’t think you understand what you did today. You almost got us in trouble, and you think it’s right for you to do that? Why would you scheme something like this?”
“What else do you think I would scheme something like this for? To destroy you all!”
