Mia’s POV
Walking into the meeting room, my heart was steady and my mind
focused. For three years, I had waited for this moment. The chance to
stand before the brothers who had once broken me, but now the tables
had turned. They didn’t know the truth-not yet.
I stood at the head of the table, poised and confident, as the
representatives took their seats. The weight of my position as the Blood
Moon pack princess settled over me like armor, shielding me from the
vulnerability I once carried.
Ima stirred inside me, her voice filled with a mix of excitement and
mischief. “They’re here, Mia. Are you ready?”
“I’ve been ready for years,” I replied silently.
As Xavier and Rolex entered the room, their gazes immediately found
me. Shock flickered across their faces, their usually composed
expressions faltering. It was a sight I would savor for the rest of my life.
I kept my face neutral, refusing to let them see the satisfaction bubbling
beneath the surface. “Xavier. Rolex,” I greeted them, my tone even.
Their jaws tightened, clearly trying to process what they were seeing.
Xavier took a step forward as if to speak, but I turned my attention to the
others in the room.
“We’re here to discuss the alliance proposal,” I began, addressing the
representatives. “The Blood Moon pack has always valued strength and
loyalty, and we expect the same from those we align with.”
Flashback to Three Years Ago
The memory of that day was still vivid in my mind. The cliff’s jagged
edge, the cold wind whipping around me, and the sickening feeling of
betrayal as I fell. I had thought that was the end for me.
Ima’s voice had been my only tether to life. “Shift, Mia. You have to shift
now.”
The pain had been unbearable as I forced my broken body to obey. My
wolf emerged, cushioning the impact of the fall, but even that hadn’t
been enough to save us entirely.
We lay there, broken and bleeding, on the rocky ground below. Darkness
crept in, and I thought for sure we wouldn’t survive.
Then, voices pierced the haze. “Over here!” someone shouted, their tone
urgent.
I barely registered the figures surrounding me, but I remembered the
warmth of strong arms lifting me, the soothing tone of a girl’s voice.
“She’s alive. Get her to the healer, now.”
When I woke up days later, I was in a luxurious room, the kind I had only
seen in magazines. The girl who had found me introduced herself as
Daisy, the daughter of the Alpha of the Blood Moon pack.
“You’re safe here,” she said, sitting beside my bed. “But you need to
rest. You’ve been through a lot.”
It wasn’t long before I met the Alpha himself. He was a commanding
figure, with silver-streaked hair and an aura of power that filled the
room.
“You’re Mia,” he said, his voice steady but warm. “I’m your mother’s
older brother.”
The revelation stunned me. My mother had a brother? A family?
“She never told me,” I whispered, my throat dry.
He sighed, regret flickering in his eyes. “I exiled her years ago, before
you were born. I thought she had betrayed our family, by choosing love
over duty, but I was wrong. I owe her an apology I’ll never get to give, but
I can at least make things right with you.”
“I don’t understand,” I said quietly.
Looking around the royal place, and unfamiliar people. Is it true? Do I
really have a family? Can I trust them, or I would be betrayed again?
He placed a gentle hand on my shoulder. “You’re home now, Mia. I
promise to make up for the years you’ve lost.”
I don’t know whether to trust him or not but the only option to survive
was to live with them.
Over the following months, I learned more about the Blood Moon pack
and my place within it.
Damon, the Alpha’s son, welcomed me with open arms, treating me like
his little sister. He trained me, pushing me to my limits until I became
stronger than I ever thought possible.
“Royalty isn’t just a title,” Damon had said during one of our training
sessions. “It’s about strength, resilience, and knowing your worth. You
have all of that, Mia. You just need to believe it.”
Under their guidance, I transformed. The timid girl who had been cast
out and broken became a force to be reckoned with. I learned to fight, to
lead, to command respect.
But one thing I kept hidden-my secret as the white wolf. Only the Alpha
and his immediate family knew, and they swore to protect it. The power
of the white wolf was too dangerous to reveal, even among allies.
Present Day
As the meeting continued, I kept my composure, though my mind
occasionally drifted to the past. Damon’s words echoed in my head,
grounding me.
“You’re not the girl they broke anymore,” I reminded myself. “You’re
stronger now. You’re royalty.”
When the discussion ended, I stood, signaling the close of the meeting.
“Thank you all for your time. The Blood Moon pack looks forward to this
alliance.”
As the representatives began to leave, I caught a glimpse of Xavier and
Rolex lingering near the door, their gazes fixed on me. I could feel their
unspoken questions, their confusion, their disbelief.
“They’ll come to you,” Ima murmured, her tone laced with satisfaction.
“Let them,” I replied, turning on my heel and walking out of the room.
Sure enough, it didn’t take long for their footsteps to echo behind me. As
I walked all guards trailed behind me with respect, which I earned these
years.
My heart stopped beating for a second when I saw them. All pains,
traumas, and betrayal flash in front of my eyes. Not today, Mia; you are
no longer a weak girl.
With a curteous smile playing on my lips, I stood infront of them.
“Mia,” Xavier whispered. They were shocked enough that how did I
survive after their planned murder.
