Crystal ran to Logan and hugged him, almost pushing him down in the process. Then she looked up to those blue eyes and crumpled her face.
“Did you really think I would stand and watch you leave? You think that I care about the Luna position? Then you must be joking.
I don’t care about being Luna, I don’t care if you are an Alpha, Omega or even a human.
You are my mate and I love you, so I am going to live with you for the rest of my life!!” She yelled.
Logan was surprised, he had really not expected it. He thought she was upset or disappointed in him and that is why she did not say goodbye.
“Are you sure about this Crystal? Do you know what you are saying? Do you really want to spend your life with someone not strong enough to protect you?” Logan queried.
Crystal stood on her toes and kissed him, while Blake looked away and chuckled.
“Does that answer your question now? Yes Logan, all I want is to be with you. I don’t want any positions or any money, even if you go bankrupt, I still want to be with you.
You had wanted to Mark me even when we both thought I was a human, so why do you think I would leave you just because you are no more an Alpha, it’s not even like you are have lost your wolf, you are still a werewolf and if you become human, I would still choose to stay with you. So don’t even think of sending me away or else…”
“Or else what?” Logan interrupted and pulled her to his chest, by her waist.
“I would… I would.” She froze as his scent struck her nose and she looked into those dreamy eyes.
“Or else what?” Logan asked again in a calm voice, then he brought his face lower and kissed her deeply.
Aidan closed his eyes with his palm and Blake chuckled, then Logan broke the kiss.
“Miss Crystal Lennox, I can’t love you any less and I would make you mine tonight. I promise I won’t ever try to leave you again, because I will die if I do.”
Crystal blushed. “Really? So you would have died if I didn’t stop you?” She asked with furrowed eyebrows.
“You can bet on that, I had no other reasons to live, so I would have ended my miserable life,” I muttered in reply.
“Really? So you won’t even live for my sake, you were going to leave me behind,” Blake grumbled.
“Oh I definitely would, because if I stayed, you would drive me insane with your numerous, useless questions and childish attitudes.” Logan blurted.
“Hey, that is mean, I am not childish, I am just not grumpy like you,” Blake retorted and Logan shot a glance at him.
Crystal chuckled. “That’s enough guys, and Logan… Take it easy on him, he is still young anyway,” Crystal said in support of Blake.
“Thank you.” Blake smiled and Logan growled at him.
“Alright, I think we should leave now. It’s already dark now and there are two cars here that I need to drive back, which means that I have to come back here again,” Blake reminded them.
“There is no need for that, just call Simon to come and pick up the second car. I don’t even know what he does in the castle all day long,” Logan said.
“Alright, I will text him now,” Blake replied.
“Good, while you are at that, I would go up and grab a few things,” Crystal said and they nodded.
She turned around and ran up the stairs. A few minutes later, she came back with a few clothes and a disappointed face.
“Um… What is wrong?” Logan asked with scrutinizing eyes.
“Well, my step parents… Nevermind, let’s go,” she said, waving the question off.
Logan hummed and turned around.
Once again, Blake gave him supporting shoulders as they walked to the car, while Crystal held Aidan’s hands.
They got into the car and Blake hit the road. Crystal and Logan were at the back seat while Aidan was in the front with Blake.
“So, are you going anywhere tomorrow?” Logan asked.
“No, not at all. What about you?” She queried.
“Well I think I will go to work,” he replied and chuckled.
She shot a glance at him. “You better be kidding, because you are not going anywhere. I mean look at your condition, you can barely walk on your own,” she complained.
“Calm down, you are making it sound like I have any physical injuries, it’s just a small cut on my arms and it would not disturb me at all.
The only reason why I feel weak is because the sword drew my energy along with my powers, but my energy will be back after a shower and a nice meal.” He smiled.
“I don’t care about your reasons or excuses, but I won’t let you go to work. In fact, you won’t leave the castle for the rest of this week,” she announced.
“What? The rest of this week? But today is till Monday, this is not fair,” he whined like a kid and Blake chuckled.
“You see what I mean boss, that’s why I don’t want to find my mate.”
Logan scoffed. “You speak like it is in your control or ability to decide when to find her, the goddess hasn’t remembered you yet,” Logan replied and they laughed.
They arrived at the castle and drove in. Simon had already left to get the other car, while Lucy had left for her Pack, so only the servants were around when they returned.
Blake helped Logan get inside and then he also left the castle. His family had no idea what was happening, so he needed to update them.
Blake was certain that his father would be disappointed. His father Zamiel was the previous Beta of the Pack.
He and Logan’s father had worked so hard to build the Pack up, they had raised it from the sixth position to the second and if not for the ghastly accident that claimed the former Alpha’s life, then they might have taken the Pack to the first position.
After Logan’s father died, Zamiel was broken, he couldn’t concentrate on work because he was very close to his Alpha and he found it difficult working with Logan due to the huge age difference between them.
So two years before Logan left the city, he handed over the position of Beta to seventeen year old Blake.
He thought it was the best thing to do. The teenagers would understand themselves better, so he retired from being a second in command of the pack.
So far, Logan has been able to maintain and improve the quality of the pack, but he never got it to the number one spot that his father always wished for, because Logan cared more about his business in the human world.
Zamiel has always grumbled about it to Blake, his son but Blake would always convince him that Logan was doing a good job.
So after what happened tonight, Blake had no doubt that his father would be filled with disappointment to find out, he feared that the old man might fall ill after hearing what happened to the Alpha of their beloved Pack.
