* * * * * Crystal’s POV * * * * *
“Mum, do not lie to me. Is this the truth? Am I really a werewolf?” I queried curiously.
A part of me wanted to believe it but it doesn’t make sense enough to be believed. I mean, I don’t even have any characteristics of a werewolf.
Strength? Definitely not!
Speed? That is not me.
So how am I supposed to believe her?
“Yes Crystal, it’s the truth, you were born as a werewolf but your parents sealed your powers and identity, they made you human… Although, it’s temporary,” she replied
What?
I am a werewolf?
“Mum-two, please tell me the truth. Why would my parents seal off my powers as you have said, then send me away. They made it clear that I don’t have a wolf before they sent me here, that is to say that as a human, I was useless to them and they got rid of me, so what are you saying now?”
“I’m sorry Crystal but that was not the truth, it’s just something we agreed to do in order to protect you. Yes, your parents did not send you away to stay with us because they hated you or thought of you as a disappointment.
They actually sent you away because they were scared that you would get hurt there, they were afraid that the enemy would find you there. They only did this to save and protect you because they love you.”
“I still don’t understand mum, if they loved me why then would they hide or seal my power? Who is this enemy that they are protecting me from and why did they lie to me in the first place?”
Thanks to my stepmom, I am feeling more confused than ever. I needed answers to those questions immediately.
“That’s because you are not just any Werewolf Crystal, you were not only an Alpha’s daughter but you are born with special powers, you have special powers and that scared them.
Not only did you almost hurt yourself with it as a kid but you caused much damage, however that was not the reason why you were sent away.
You were actually sent here after your powers were sealed, because your father feared that people would discover your gift and they would try to hurt you or use you for their selfish motives.
Now do you see why you have to do this? You are a werewolf and a member of this Pack, you belong here Crystal so you should help us out.”
Was that really true? Am I a werewolf with special powers or is she only saying it to convince me to help her?
Her explanation sounds reasonable to me but how can I be sure that she is telling the truth?
I don’t in any way feel like a wolf.
“Believe me Crystal, I am telling the truth. You are a werewolf but your parents had sealed your powers at an early age, that is why people think that you are a human but you are not,” she said, trying to convince me.
I started to think about it thoroughly, I think it might actually be true.
Come to think of it, there are strange things that I have experienced in life which point out that I am a werewolf and it’s all starting to make sense now. Those strange feelings and emotions…

Rohan walked into his castle and dropped his backpack on the hallway floor as he went into his Chambers.
The look on his face was that of distress and tiredness.
“Sadiq!” he called. “Come and pick this bag!”
The young Vampire could see that his master was greatly pissed off, he took away the backpack and returned immediately to massage his Master’s shoulders.
Rohan sat comfortably on the chair made of gold, it was more like a throne and the room was like a royal chamber. The chair arm had a skull sculpture made out of pure gold on its edge.
The room was poorly lit and eerie due to the silence.
“Master Rohan, how was school today?” Sadiq asked in a nervous tone.
He knew that his master was in a bad mood so he had to be careful with his choice of words, if he is unable to keep the master happy then his services will no longer be needed.
In other words, it means that he would be killed and if he ends up irritating the master, then unfortunately, he would also be killed.
it was not easy serving a powerful vampire count, anything you do wrong could cause your death and it seemed like he had successfully pissed off the Vampire Lord.
“What was that Sadiq? Are you mocking me?” Rohan growled and struck his hands on the chair’s arm forcing it to make a creaking sound.
Sadiq shivered behind him in fear. This is what he was avoiding…
“No master, I meant no disrespect my lord, what I meant to say was… How was your day and how is your mission going Master?” he corrected his words quickly as the master had gotten the wrong message from it.
Count Rohan took a deep breath in and out, releasing some steam. He knew he shouldn’t take out his frustration on the young vampire who was trying so hard to please him.
This one has served him for three months now which is quite a record because the others before him and either got kicked out or their heads served on a plate in less than two months.
He was not a vampire that showed mercy or compassion of any kind. If you should get him pissed off, then you just signed your death wish.
“I am so tired of this Sadiq, I can’t believe I have to go to school, damn it, I am 25 and I am through with college already, yet I have to go through this again,” Rohan growled.
“Um, don’t get offended with me young master, this is just a suggestion. What if you withdraw from school since it’s so stressful for you?” Sadiq asked and the next moment, he regretted why he said it.
His master might get upset because he made such a suggestion.
“No Saadiq, it’s necessary I have to attend that college, it’s the only way I can be close to Crystal and get her to trust me so that I can accomplish my mission. But forget about that, do you have any news for me?” Rohan queried while enjoying the younger Vampire’s hands on his shoulders.
“Yes my Lord, we have received information that the werewolves have killed another of our own and set him on fire.”
Rohan clenched his fist and gritted his teeth after hearing that.
“Bloody werewolves! When I finally get what I am after, I would wipe out the entire tribe and leave no survivors. How dare they lay a finger on a vampire?” He growled.
“Go get me a cup of drink,” he muttered.
The young Vampire ran off immediately to do as he was told, he knew just the right drink to please his master- Blood!
Which means one of the human captives has to bleed and he had his way of doing it and still keeping them alive.
Unlike his master, he did not have a heart filled with snakes and scorpions and evil spiders, his only fault was being a vampire!
