I woke up in the morning but Logan was already out of bed. I checked the time on the alarm clock and it was already 9:00.
Well it isn’t late compared to when I get up at my parents house.
I stood up and stretched my backbone, then I stood and walked towards the bedroom.
I think Logan might be there.
Without knocking, I pushed the bathroom door open and walked in with a smirk. I was expecting to see Logan naked and maybe get him into sex before he leaves for work, but I was disappointed to meet no one there.
So he already showered? Then where could he be?
I walked into his dressing cabinet but he wasn’t there either, finally I went to his study room to confirm that he had left.
I don’t understand why he has to overwork himself, it’s the weekend for christ sake, yet he went to work.
I overheard Logan some days back, asking his beta to help him find a new personal maid.
After what happened yesterday, I don’t think I can trust him around another female wolf. So I have to find him a human instead.
I am sure that a human can stop him from cheating, because an Alpha Wolf cannot develop feelings for an ordinary human, he will rather fall for an Omega, so to avoid him getting seduced again by another female, I should get him a human maid.
I think I know just the right person for the job. Crystal!!
She already knows his real identity and he despises her, so she would be the perfect option for the job.
I just need to get her number.
I went to the bathroom, brushed my teeth and took my bath, then I called the servant to serve my breakfast.
I wonder where I can get Crystal’s number, I am sure that Logan wouldn’t want to tell me if I asked him.
Oh! Noah! Of course he is the servant’s supervisor, so I’m sure he would have her contact details. I will ask him later in the day.

* * * * * *Crystal’s POV * * * * *
I had returned from the market and was preparing stew for dinner. It was just me in the house as I had sent Aidan to stay with my step parents.
Everything that had happened earlier today was still surprising to me.
First of all, I don’t know who carried the bag of garbage I had kept in front of my door.
It was all my fault, I was too lazy to carry it in last night. After everything that happened with Logan, I was too tired.
But still I don’t understand why someone would want to steal my bag of trash. It makes no sense at all.
Then the second weird thing was my step parents. Their behavior earlier was also a surprise to me.
I mean for a moment back there, I thought I had lost them forever. They have never spoken to me like that before, they used to always adore me and help me out when I need their help and support, but this time they did not only refuse to assist me, but they went ahead to mock me.
I never expected that. It is true that they were not too happy with my decision to move out of the house last month, but I didn’t think they would react that way.
I also don’t believe their excuse. That they were upset about something is not good enough reason for them to treat me the way they did today.
Anyway, I’m just glad that everything is settled. Whatever the real reason behind their strange behavior is, it doesn’t bother me anymore… it’s a thing of the past.
As I was stirring the pot, the aroma filled the air.
I remembered when I was younger. I would usually sit in the kitchen and watch mum cook. She was a very good cook and Dad was never able to resist coming into the kitchen.
Even when they had issues, Dad never refused to eat her food and he always pleaded for forgiveness after the meals.
The poor man, he was always blackmailed with the delicious meal mum makes.
Thinking about mum and Dad, I started to wonder if I would find my own mate.
Since my parents are werewolves, or maybe not. Because I am not different from ordinary humans.
Why am I even thinking about it?
It doesn’t matter if I have a soulmate. I would only get married to a man who loves me, someone who is ready to accept Aidan, if not… then I’ll rather remain single.
Just then, my thoughts were interrupted by the ringtone of my phone.
There was an incoming call from an unknown number, I had no idea who it could be so I decided to ignore it, but the phone rang a second time and I had to pick it up.
I clicked the green button and put the cell phone close to my ear without uttering a word.
After about ten seconds of silence, I had an unfamiliar female voice on the other side of the phone.
Okay, maybe it was unfamiliar at first, but soon I recognised who it belonged to.
Lucy!
“How may I help you?” I queried solemnly.
What could she probably want from me? Did she find out what transpired between Logan and I last night?
Why should it even bother me? I didn’t ask for any of that.
“I want you to return to your work as Logan’s personal maid,” she announced.
I was surprised. Did I hear right?
Why would she suddenly want to call me back? She was the one who asked for them to fire me in the first place.
“Why? Your mate asked me not to return”
“And I am asking you to come back now, so don’t argue with me..”
Huh? How rude! What does she think of me? Some pawn or toy she can control anyhow she wants? Well she is wrong.
I spread false news about Logan in the castle to be away from him. I don’t think I should go back there now.
“Sorry, but I am done working for your mate, I’m not coming back,” I stated.
“I don’t think you have a choice, you have to come back,” she persisted.
“Listen, you can’t order me around, you are not my boss or my parents. So don’t you dare to give me instructions
Now like I said before, I am not interested in working for Logan again, so don’t try to persuade me. That’s final!” I barked angrily.
With that I hung up on her and dropped the phone on the kitchen table.
“Foolish!!” I cursed.
Thanks to her, my stew had almost burnt.
Who does she think she is to order me around?
“She doesn’t think I have a choice? hump!” I scoffed.
I turned off the gas cooker immediately and brought down the pot of stew.
Once again, my phone started ringing. It was her again.
She should just let me be for goodness sake!!
I decided to ignore her calls, she would probably give up soon.
