Chapter 302: Mathias’ Fierceness

Book:Fist of Healing Published:2025-3-14

While Kendra was worrying about Darnell, three teams of fully armed men in uniform were attacking through the front door, following a woman in blue clothing.
The gunfire was intense, showing no concern for the hostages’ safety.
Mathias held two guns, firing in controlled bursts. His shooting was extremely accurate, with every bullet hitting approaching enemies-truly shooting without missing.
His marksmanship effectively suppressed the uniformed men’s advance, causing the blue-clothed woman to repeatedly curse, “Useless, useless.”
She cared nothing about her subordinates’ lives, only hoping to quickly break in and eliminate the gang of bandits in the chaos. Edward had given her a mission-eliminate these people at all costs.
No matter what, Mathias could not be allowed to get out of there alive, which was why even Omar Ridsdale had been dispatched.
As for the hostages’ safety, she cared nothing. These days, people died every day-who cared?
Mathias calmly fired more than ten shots, single-handedly holding back the attackers’ assault. Though his situation was difficult, he didn’t use hostages as bargaining chips.
At the same time, his face showed unprecedented gravity. He had spotted the grey-clothed old man and knew the elder was wreaking havoc, with three of his brothers already injured.
He also felt a headache coming on, unsure if it was from the prolonged battle or inhaling too much smoke, but he couldn’t focus properly.
Mathias bit his lip to stay focused and shouted to his companion in a monkey mask, “I’ll hold off the police. You get the brothers out of here. Don’t tangle with the old man. Hurry!”
The monkey-masked robber hesitated. “Boss, let me bring up the rear.”
Mathias shouted back, “No time for that! Get going! If you don’t leave now, none of us will make it out.”
“These must be Steve’s men. They want our lives regardless of the hostages.”
“Move, now!”
At Mathias’ command, the monkey-masked robber gritted his teeth and fired two shots outside before turning back to help his comrades.
“Old man, you’re asking for it!”
As the monkey-masked robber charged through the smoke, he saw the bull-headed robber and his two companions being knocked to the ground by the grey-cloaked elder, their limbs broken and battered.
They were alive but in a state close to death, looking utterly pitiful.
Furious, the monkey-masked robber raised his weapon, but before he could aim, he saw the elder’s foot move, and in the next second, a chair came flying at him like a cannonball.
“Whoosh!”
The speed was blinding, and there was no way to evade it. The monkey-masked Robber let out a grunt as he and his gun were sent sprawling.
Then, the grey-cloaked elder glided toward him effortlessly.
“Ah-”
Enraged, the monkey-masked robber pushed off the ground, leaving a deep imprint on the floor. He let out a low growl and leaped like a cheetah.
In mid-air, he unleashed a series of lightning-fast kicks, each more ferocious than the last.
He aimed to force Omar to face his relentless onslaught!
“Hmph!”
Unfazed by the sudden barrage, Omar showed no signs of panic. With a cold snort, he adapted to the situation and retreated.
Using softness to counter strength, he matched the monkey-masked robber’s speed, continually dissipating the force behind each attack.
Then, with a swift motion, Omar blocked the robber’s downward kick with a firm hand, the two of them locking eyes in a tense standoff.
“Kill!”
The monkey-masked robber performed a backflip and threw a short-range punch.
He aimed to push Omar back to create space for his next attack, but Omar only smirked in response.
Realizing the danger, the monkey-masked robber instinctively tried to retreat, but it was already too late.
“Boom!”
After skillfully deflecting the thug’s punch, Omar charged forward, using his shoulder to slam into the thug’s chest.
The latter’s massive frame was sent flying.
Without pausing, Omar closed the distance, raining blows down on the monkey-masked robber.
“Thud! Thud! Thud!”
The monkey-masked robber seemed to be hit by a barrage of gunfire, his body trembling as he flew through the air.
“Boom!”
With a powerful strike, Omar landed a final blow on the thug’s last line of defense, hitting him square in the chest.
The monkey-masked robber immediately erupted like a firecracker, spewing a mouthful of blood before crashing to the ground, struggling to rise.
He lay there in despair.
All four robbers had been severely injured by Omar, teetering on the brink of death. The elder looked down at them and extended his bony thumb, giving a heavy thumbs down.
“Useless!”
While Omar was wreaking havoc, Mathias was engaged in close combat with the women in blue.
As soon as Mathias ran out of bullets, the women quickly took turns advancing, their gunfire echoing as they eliminated any suspicious movements.
Soon, dozens of them stormed through the jewelry store’s entrance, moving recklessly toward Mathias, ready to take him down, when suddenly a deafening noise erupted.
Two uniformed men were knocked to the ground by a powerful force, and a fire extinguisher exploded among them, foam flying everywhere.
Simultaneously, an unpleasant odor wafted through the air.
“Watch out!”
Before the women in blue could regain their footing, a figure darted out from behind a display case, swift and precise. With a flick of the wrist, a baton flew through the air.
One of the uniformed men, turning just in time, felt a sharp pain in his head before he stumbled and fell to the ground, gun still in hand.
Mathias took a quick step forward, closing the distance between them like a phantom, and violently crashed into the bleeding man’s arms.
Bang!
The swaying body was forcefully knocked away, flipping twice in the air and crashing into the uniformed men behind. As six men groaned and fell together, Mathias had already seized a gun.
“Bam bam!”
Two uniformed men hadn’t reacted yet when their bodies shuddered, and they fell screaming, clutching their legs.
Throwing knives, ramming people, seizing guns, shooting-Mathias demonstrated his prowess with unstoppable momentum.
He showed no fear despite being surrounded, especially when six bodies tumbled together, he could still easily target and severely injure two men.
This marksmanship was not amateur work, but one hundred percent honed through killing others.
Mathias didn’t kill the uniformed men but severely injured them one by one. His purpose was to make them burden their companions-after all, they couldn’t just abandon their wounded, could they?
“Rat-tat-tat!”
By now, the blue-clothed woman and her men had regained their composure through the thick smoke. They stepped back against the wall, then aimed their guns at Mathias and fired in unison.
Mathias was prepared. As soon as they raised their guns, the muscles on his body instantly bulged as he bent low and rolled away.
Bullets struck the cabinets with heart-stopping bangs.
“Whoosh!”
After dodging, Mathias kicked off a mottled cabinet and disappeared to the other side like a monkey, leaving only an afterimage for the shooting uniformed men.
This caused the dense bullets to miss again. The blue-clothed woman and her men were slightly stunned, not expecting that Mathias, whom they were supposed to deal with today, would be so troublesome.
It was worth noting that today, besides having numerical superiority and Omar as backup, both smoke bombs and tear gas contained anesthetics.
Even if Mathias didn’t collapse, he should at least be dizzy, but looking at his current condition, he seemed unaffected.
The blue-clothed woman had no time to think further. She pressed her hands forward, shouting, “Take him down.”
