“I am sorry ma’am, but there is no vacancy left” the bald-headed man replied.
I felt very disappointed.
“Alright thank you” I muttered and walked out of the office.
As a college student, finding a decent job in California is as difficult as finding a needle in a haystack.
I have tried at several establishments but it’s either they don’t hire part-time workers or they need only men, or even worse, there ain’t any vacancy left. Why is life so difficult?
I really need to find a job soon, my saved income has run out and I need to get Aidan’s food.
I don’t even have enough for the daily necessity, talk more of my fees, what am I supposed to do now?
Walking out of the industry, I noticed a red car that looked familiar to me.
I have been seeing that exact car everywhere I went for the past two days. Who could be in it and what does he or she want with me?
My phone started ringing, it was Rhea calling.
“Hey girl” I said after clicking the green button.
“Whats up, you are not in college” she asked from the other side
“No, but I am on my way, I will be there soon” I replied and smiled, even though I knew she couldn’t see me.
I guess I have to juggle both college and work till the year is over, then I can finally concentrate on finding a good job, but right now I need to find any paid work that can sustain me, I just need to raise money to make sure Aidan lacks nothing.
The fact that he could be a werewolf baby added to my concern.
Werewolves have a super appetite, they don’t eat like regular kids.
Arriving at another industry, I looked behind and noticed the same red car.
Now I was certain that it was following me, but who is in it and why do they keep stalking me?
That didn’t bother me much. I had a job to find.
I walked into the industry to try my luck, it was a dishwashing soap producing industry.
After I’m done here, then I will proceed to college.

I opened the back door and walked in.
The man I was having a secret meeting with was dressed in black all through, with a round hat on his head and glasses that covered his eyes.
He was just the perfect description of his career, he is a private investigator!
“Good day sir” he greeted.
“Good afternoon Mr Gomez, what information do you bring me?” I queried.
I was anxious to know his results, I wanted to get a pleasing response, to know that I had finally gotten back at that disgusting lady.
She thinks she’s the only one that can play games.
“Sir actually, she’s not the type of girl you explained her to be” he replied and started to open a briefcase.
“What do you mean Mr Gomez?”
“Sir, right now she is on the search for a new job, she appears to be the hard-working type of Lady”
What? Crystal hard-working? Buff! That’s not possible.
“Listen Mr Gomez, I think you investigated the wrong girl, Crystal is not the kind of girl who is ready to work hard so as to earn money, she prefers clinging to Rich men and seducing them” I spat
Only mentioning her name makes my blood boil.
” Sir, isn’t this the photo of the girl you speak of?” he asked and brought a photo from his briefcase.
I took a peek at the photo and I recognised her instantly
“Yes… but… but are you sure about this?”
Could she have changed or is the investigator mistaken?
” I am certain Sir, I have been keeping an eye on her, this morning she went to look for a job in a dishwashing soap industry before leaving for college, although I don’t think she was successful”
I was puzzled, I thought the only reason she worked in that restaurant was so that she could have an opportunity to meet rich men, cling onto them and make a living off them.
“It doesn’t matter Mr Gomez, I believe after two rejections she will give up and pay the price for her sins” I laughed.
“I don’t think so Sir, she has actually been to more than seven places in search of a job for the past one week and if you ask me it doesn’t look like she’s going to quit anytime soon” he said
So she didn’t feel defeated after I had made her lose her first job?
could my idea about her be wrong? I mean what if she’s not the kind of girl I had thought of her to be.
No, there must have been a mistake somewhere, I need to put her to further tests, I need to find out the truth about her and I will get back at her for every time she provokes me.
“But sir, if I may ask… What is your relationship with the girl?”
“Listen Mr Gomez, it will be best if you just keep doing your job and ask no questions!” I retorted
Whatever happened between me and Crystal is something no one is allowed to find out!
It’s between the both of us.
“Alright Sir, I will take my leave now”
“Okay, don’t bother to follow her anymore, I will take this further from here, as for your pay, I would have the money transferred to your account immediately” I informed him.
“Alright sir, thank you” he smiled
“Yeah one more thing, I would like to keep those pictures” I requested.
“Oh! Sure!”
He handed the pictures to me and I then got out of the car.
I watched as the red car sped off and was soon lost sight of.
I turned around and walked back into the Castle.
I need to make a new plan about crystal, it’s time to take another drastic step.
But seriously why am I even obsessed with this crystal girl? Why can’t I forget the past and move on? It’s not like she is still bugging me or something!
