“Don’t throw away our love Sage, I know you still love me I can see that I also know you’ve yearned and longed for me the same way I have for you. Allow me to be the father our children need.”He came to her and pulled her gently to her feet he then knelt before her and placed his hands on her belly, stroking it tenderly rubbing it with so much love, the twins moved when he began to speak in his native language.
“Bruno what are you doing?”She asked.
“Asking for their forgiveness. Daddy’s sorry I ever doubted you could be mine my princesses I’ll make it my life’s mission to apologise for it every
chance I get.”
Sage bit her trembling bottom lip.”That’s enough.”She moved away but he pulled her back and cupped her face with both his hands, she gasped at the coldness of his hands.
“What’s wrong? Did I hurt you. Is it the babies.”Genuine concern glowed in those gorgeous eyes.
She shook her head.”You should go it’s getting late. I accept your apology and I believe you’re sincere when you say you’re sorry, I won’t stop you from wanting to be a part of the boys lives but it ends there Bruno.”Slowly his hands fell away from her, the look of despair and desolation reach deep down in her heart it took alot in her not to break down and pull him close.
He was silent for so long Sage wondered if he’ll ever say anything.”I always thought I’d never fall in love that no woman would ever have the power to break or hurt me but that changed when I met you. Your beautiful smile, the way you would look at me the ever present glow on your face draw me to you. Like a fool I fell for you, at first I denied my feelings because they are so strong that it even scares me. Suddenly having to live without you became impossible I couldn’t imagine a life without you, all I wanted was to be near you my world began to revolve around you, you became the center of my universe.”
Sage couldn’t hear more, his words are killing her.”Bruno.”

All I felt like doing was kill Hugo with my bare hands I saw nothing except the two of you naked every time I looked at you I pictured his hands all over you and that made me more furious. My anger, resentment and jealousy got the better of me the thought of you being innocent never crossed my mind. I get extremely jealous and possessive when it comes to you Sage probably because I love you so much the thought of another man’s hands on you doesn’t sit well on me. I even get jealous when your own brother touches you.”He was laying himself bare in front of her whether she accepts him back in her life after this is up to her.
“We all get jealous Bruno it’s in our DNA.”

Sage absently smiled at the memory of when he’d send all the flowers, jewelry and chocolates only to get her to say yes for a dinner date.”And you are a very persistent man that doesn’t take no for an answer.”She reminded him that brought a smile to his face.

“How did you find out the truth. What changed your mind.”She asked.
“As always Lana came by my office unannounced, over the months she kept on calling telling me she can help me to forget about you that me and her are meant to be together that our relationship wasn’t meant to last. I blocked her at each corner no matter how much I tell her I don’t want her and that we’ll never be together she kept on pushing. She came to my office angry because I was pining away over you she didn’t like that.”So she wasn’t the only one who was mourning their relationship.”She said some things I didn’t like so I kicked her out.”He opened his hand Sage saw her necklace nestling in the palm of his hand.”Her bag slipped out of her hands and this fell out.”He lifted it up.”It’s then everything became clear to me I knew you’d never give her the cross especially after I told you how much it means to me, she tried to lie and say you gave it to her but I didn’t believe her.”

“That’s a lie. She only said that to hurt you and drive a wedge between us.”
“It worked.”She whispered.”We’re on the brink of getting a divorce.”
He held her gaze.”Is that really what you want.”Sage couldn’t answer him. “Anyway she told me how she drugged you, dragged your body upstairs and staged everything to make it look like you and Hugo slept together.”
“She went to great lengths to separate us she must love you alot.”
“What she did, she did it for herself I couldn’t care less about her. All I care about is winning back my family and the love of my wife. I regret ever denying our babies Sage it will haunt me for the rest of my life.”The look in his eyes said it all.”When Suzanne send me your medical reports and I looked at how far along you were at the time it left me without a doubt that you fell pregnant while we’d been in Greece. If she lets him leaves then this is it there’s no going back. He just said goodbye and it sounded so final, for good. Him regretting ever doubting her or not believing her had been visible in his eyes, she’d seen the sincerity of his words and how much it pains him that he didn’t trust in her. “My belly.”She murmured against his lips when he crushed her to him.
“Sorry sweetheart. Five and a half months is a long time for any man to be without his wife, I got ahead of myself my thirst for you is deadly.”
“The feeling is mutual maybe we should take this to the bedroom where we’ll be more comfortable.”Without another word he scooped her up and carried her out of the bathroom straight to bed.”Bruno we’re gonna make the bed wet and all the bedding. “Our bodies will generate enough heat to dry the blankets beautiful, tonight is a night where no one will sleep I intend to love my wife properly. And maybe us staying here until the birth isn’t such a bad idea it’s very secluded here and exactly what we need to rekindle our love and romance.
