“Congrats sis you and Bruno didn’t waste time, I thought you guys agreed to wait for a while.”
“Sometimes faith has something else in store for us.”She said.
“I know, how did Bruno take the news.”Sean asked.
“He’s so happy especially when he heard it’s twins again.”
“More identicals.”Her brother said.”You’re certainly gonna have your hands full in a few months time.”
“Lord knows how on earth I’m gonna cope, Liam is becoming cheeky and naughtier by the day.”
“He’s growing up maybe the new set of bundles will calm him down. And Logan how is he.”

“We love you too Sean. Bye bye.”She ended the call with a sigh. Where are you Bruno I need you, I need my husband. She was even afraid to call him he doesn’t even answer her calls anymore. It’s amazing how one’s happiness can be destroyed in a second, she wasn’t any closer in finding the person that’s responsible for the current state of her marriage what was suppose to be a happy ending for her and Bruno turned out to be a complete nightmare and
Sage is so afraid that she’ll never wake up from this hell. What is she gonna do when she loses Bruno how will she go on living without him, can she live without him. Will they be able to get through this. What more can she do to win back his trust one thing she doesn’t doubt is the love he has for her.
Deciding she’s had enough Sage calls Bruno they haven’t spoken in days neither has he been coming home. Her suspicions of him having a mistress is becoming stronger not that she has prove but what else keeps him away from home, from his family does he still consider them a family. He made it pretty clear he no longer has a wife then what is she to him, what does he see when he looks at her. “It’s okay Leandra it wasn’t anything important. I’ll wait for him at home.”Sage ended the call. How could he do this. With Lana of all people the one woman who hates her, why did he do it. Did he do it to hurt her, to see her suffer and go through the pain he has been going through. No wonder he hasn’t even bother to come and see her during this time when she’d been on bed rest he’s too busy having fun with Lana to give a damn about her it explains why she doesn’t see him at night anymore. Sage’s heart lost all hope of Bruno ever looking at her with love again she wanted to talk to him and tell him about her conceived date she was certain she had fallen pregnant while she’d been in Greece she has done her calculations twice to make sure and she wants to share the news with him but he’s never here. His family has come to check on her not once or twice but more than that whereas he doesn’t bother to even ask how she’s doing, it’s fine if he doesn’t care about her but he can at least ask how their babies are doing. He didn’t even come with her when she’d gone to see doctor Suzanne neither has he asked how everything has went, his cold indifferent behavior hurts her so badly she has no clue what to do anymore.
While she got ready for bed that night he came home Sage tried hard to ignore the scent of perfume all over him she can see from the dark circles under his eyes he wasn’t getting any sleep. He didn’t greet her or glance in her direction as he went into the bathroom to take a shower she used the opportunity to go kiss the boys good night. She waited for him to come out of the bathroom before talking to him.”Bruno I need to talk to you.”She said climbing off the bed.
“Not now.”He said going into his dressing room.
“When then?”She asked.”I’ve tried to reach out to you over the last couple of days but you ignore my calls and is barely home.”
“I work. I’m in meetings all day, what more do you want from me.”
“Five minutes of your time won’t hurt.”She told him.”That’s all I’m asking.”
He glanced at his wrist watch, she never did get a chance to give him the watch she had bought for him in Greece.”Five minutes.”He repeated.
“I wanted to tell you that the babies are yours, I calculated the days and it all shows I fell pregnant while we’d still been in Greece. They are yours Bruno.”
“Again with this Sage.”He said frustrated.”We’ve been through this before I don’t believe for a second that they are mine and it pains me to say it out loud every time because I so desperately want them to be mine maybe then we’ll find a way forward.”
“But they are yours!”She argued.
“Give me prove and I don’t want dates for all I know you could’ve manipulated it. If you can prove those babies you are carrying is mine and not my brother’s who knows I could forgive you but till then stop telling me they are mine because it hurts, it cuts deep if I can take your word for it and accept them and love them what do you think I will go through the day I find out the babies I nurtured and loved isn’t really mine. It would literally break me I don’t want to set myself up for disappointment get my hopes up for nothing. It’s better if I keep my distance from you before I get attached.”His gaze ran the length of her body.”It saddens me that my brother’s seeds are nestling in your womb when it should be mine. The pain that grips me in here.”He held a hand to his heart.”You’ve no idea what I’m going through every single day, how much I’m suffering inside because the one woman I love the most stabbed me in the back.”A tear slid from his eye.”It feels like you’ve taken a knife and pierced it through my heart, it’s bleeding in a few months time you’ll begin to show your belly will grow do you have any idea how much I’m dreading that time having to witness and see you walking around with Hugo’s babies would be torture and I don’t think it’s something I’d wanna witness either.”
“Wh-what are you saying Bruno. That it’s over? Is that what you’re trying to tell me.”It can’t be over.”Don’t you love me anymore.”
“I do but at the same time I can’t forget what you did. Your pregnancy would be a daily reminder of your betrayal. I won’t stand and watch how you raise your babies with my brother. I can’t. I won’t.”
“You leaving me.”She said aghast.”You can’t. I won’t let you Bruno. Our children need you.”
“I’ll always be there for Logan and Liam.”
“What about the babies?”She asked.”They need their father too Bruno.”
“That’s my brother’s responsibility not mine.”
“You just going to give up on me… on our marriage, our family.”She said with incredulity.”Bruno. Don’t do this.”
“I’m doing what’s right for me. Something you have no problem in doing.”
“I never slept with Hugo or anyone else!”It was her turn to lash out in anger. “How could you even think that. For goodness sake Bruno why won’t you believe me. It’s her isn’t it, you’re just looking for an excuse to go and be with her now you using my pregnancy as an excuse instead of admitting that you don’t want me anymore.”He looked at her bewildered.”No need to play dumb or did you think I wouldn’t find out that you’re having an affair.”
“I’m not.”He said.”But if that’s what you wanna believe it’s fine.”
“I never took you for a coward Bruno even now you won’t tell me the truth about you and Lana. What was she doing at your office today. Care to enlighten me.”
“I don’t owe you any explanation. But if I was having an affair it wouldn’t be with her.”
