Camille meant well and although Sage didn’t like how she blurted it out, she meant well her thoughts are in a good place.
“We appreciate what you did Camille. And you’re right maybe we should’ve said so to begin with.”She met and held Bruno’s stare.”Bruno is only upset at the way you announced the news but don’t worry he understands we all get excited and carried away in certain situations some times.”Silence was around the table.
“In case some of you have forgotten there are two pregnant women here and we starving.”They all laughed at what Maya said.”Can we order.”
“Order whatever you like. Dinner is on me.”Bruno added.
“In that case I want everything. Including a burger.”Sage wasn’t in the mood to eat but she did anyway, the night’s event has her stomach in knots she was beginning to have a headache due to all the thinking. The night went well Camille behaved and conversation was kept light Sage only comment when needed other than that she remained quiet, luckily no one notice her mood they were too deep in discussion if she thought Camille announcing their supposite engaged inside had been worse there was no stopping the buzz of reporters outside when they left, already they know about it and wanted confirmation Bruno easily handled the media Sage shut her mind down, her strength is gone she’s tired of arguing with Bruno she didn’t want to fight with him, she’ll leave everything for tomorrow for now all she needed is a bed.
“You very quiet.”Bruno told her, as they got ready for bed after checking on the twins.”Are you okay?”She nodded.”Talk to me.”
“I’ve had a long day all I need is sleep.”He could see she was telling the truth.
“Come on I’ll hold you.”She went with him, they both got into bed naked Sage knows them naked isn’t a good idea.”I won’t eat you tonight. Rest.”He stroked her hair and planted a soft kiss on her head.
Bruno couldn’t sleep the whole night Sage’s naked body next to his own had tormented him, he had ended up moving away from temptation a certain male part is restless even now it’s bothering him. His phone has been buzzing of the hook the entire night, this morning it’s worse, him getting married to Sage is all over the news and social media people can’t stop talking about it everyone wanted more details his PR team had called to find out more but at this stage he doesn’t even know what to tell them. He hasn’t seen the morning paper yet but he can guess what it’s all about, he feels bad for cornering her into marrying him he manipulated this whole thing and if she can find out the truth she probably won’t talk to him forever.
Her brother had called he’s landed and he has booked him into a hotel later on he’ll come to see them at Sage’s apartment she won’t be too happy when she wakes up and see they are trending yet again. He sipped his coffee the boys are early birds Margarita has bathe and fed them now they are happily sitting in their chairs drinking their milk, he can’t believe these are the same boys Sage said refuse to listen and throw their cups around with him they are quiet in this hour that he’s been with them they haven’t given him a hard time, only problem is Liam wants to get out of his high chair, he’s very cheeky. Margarita came over to ask if she should serve breakfast, Sage hasn’t woken up yet she must still be tired.”Let me go check on the senorita Margarita.”He told her in spanish. He found her busy looking through the new clothes he’d got delivered this morning, he saw a frown on her forehead.”Don’t you like it.”
“It’s not that. I just hate having to depend on others, especially you. Where’s Liam and Logan they not in their room.”
“You’re upset.”Her tone sounded off he went closer.
“I’m not upset. We need to talk about last and what Camille said, the last thing I want is for it to be splashed all over the news, I never agreed to marry
you, and I told you before I don’t want to marry you.”Now this is the Sage he knows not the one who kept quiet last night.
“You didn’t say that last night.”
“Because everything happened so fast I didn’t even have time to process anything. Besides I couldn’t really blurt out before everyone it isn’t true they all looked so happy I didn’t want to be a kill joy.”
“Don’t you think now it’s too late to tell them the truth. My aunt and uncle probably knows by now.”

“You surely didn’t give that impression last night.”
“Bruno please I’m tired of arguing with you over one thing over and over again. We are not getting married. End of story.”
“Well I’m getting married.”He told her.
“You cannot force me to marry you.”
“Can’t I.”He asked slowly coming over to her, he roughly pulled her up against him her hair came loose from the low bun she’d made at her nape only then did she realise she was still half naked and wearing only a bra.”With a little persuasion I could get you to agree to anything I want.”His hand came up her back until it found the clasp of her bra.
“You not playing fair here, you know I won’t resist you.”
“That’s exactly what I want complete submission.”Light fingers thread through her hair.
“Bruno let me finish up dressing.”She said instead to distract herself from the wonderful sensations she was feeling.
“What if I want you, will you still tell me to leave you alone.”
“Yes. We cannot possible stay in here what on earth would Margarita think.”
“That two adults are busy having a conversation.”
“Not even you would think that if the roles had been reversed. Please let me finish up.”He kissed her before letting go.
“I hope you know I didn’t have you last night or this morning.”
“I’m not the one who ran away from bed.”She heard him groan then he was gone, Sage continued dressing up by the time she was done her phone rang it was Sean. He never calls this early unless if something is wrong, so this could mean only one thing he knows about her and Bruno’s engagement, he’s seen the news and if so what on earth will she tell her brother. She switched on the tv in Bruno’s room their so called upcoming wedding is the only thing that’s making headlines, Sean called again he knows is all Sage told herself she’s even afraid to answer her phone she went to join Bruno at the breakfast table.”Good morning Margarita.”She said taking a seat.
“Good morning senora. Tea.”She doesn’t even want food at this moment, she shook her head.
“Bruno have you switched on the tv.”
“No. Bring a cup of tea for senora Margarita, she’s gonna need it.”
“I don’t want anything.”She said.”Will you answer me.”
“I thought I did.”
“Bruno this isn’t the time to be funny.”Her cell rang again.
“Aren’t you gonna answer it.”He asked.”Could be important.”
“It can wait.”She said.”We need to talk, I wanna know what you’re gonna do to contain this whole situation.”Margarita gave her the tea.”Thank you. Bruno I’m talking to you.”She said, when he showed no sign of answering her.”What’s so important on your phone that it can’t wait for five minutes.”He looked at her then.
He set his mobile down.”You’ve got my full attention.”
“I can’t believe this is happening.”She said when her cell rang again, Sean won’t stop calling until she answers and if she doesn’t he’ll think something is wrong.
“Avoiding anyone.”
“This is your fault if you hadn’t lied to everyone about us being engaged none of this would’ve happen and my brother wouldn’t be calling right now.”
“You not doing a very good at convincing me to let them retract the story.”
“I don’t have to convince you to do anything Bruno, you caused this I did nothing.”His cell vibrated.
“I have to take this.”He said looking at the screen, she answered her own cell when Sean called again. When Bruno returned she was done.”I need to go.”
“So do we.”She said standing up.”We cannot stay here it will only lead to more unwanted drama.”
“Fine. I’ll let Jorge take you I can’t. Don’t worry I made sure there shouldn’t be any reporters outside when you get home. I’ll stop by later.”He kissed each of the boys.
“Don’t.”Sean is coming he can stop by at any moment, the last thing she wanted is for Bruno to be there.”My brother is coming I’m gonna need time to explain to him that everything that’s happening is a misunderstanding.”
“Okay.”He shrugged, she has no idea he wasn’t planning on doing such a thing he wasn’t about to stay away, she kissed him back when he came to kiss her. Not long after he was gone they left too.
“Is this true?”His uncle asked him the second he stepped into his study his aunt was there too, Bruno’s eyes fell on the morning paper, he was front page.
“Morning uncle. Aunt.”He went to give her a kiss.”Yes it is.”
“I thought you were gonna marry Lana. The poor girl is in tears over this.”
