“After food.”She promised.”Don’t you get hungry, I mean for food.”She said when she felt that wicked grin against her skin.”Do you even eat.”
“If it’s up to me I’d rather eat you. From morning till night.”She smiled, she’d love that too.”And from that smile I take it you agree with me.”
How can he tell what she’s thinking.”No if I do then I’ll be crazy as you are. Come on I’ll dish up for us.”She heard Liam on the monitor.”I hope you like lasagna.”
“As long as I get you for dessert we can eat anything you like.”He got up and came over to her completely naked, he isn’t even shy of his nakedness, but why should he, his body is magnificent. He pulled her up.”I’ll check on them. You go and prepare dinner, if we can still call it that. The time to eat dinner passed.”
“Who’s fault is that.”She asked, she went to fetch her robe in the wardrobe. “Aren’t you getting dressed.”
“I will once I find my jeans.”
“I’ll fetch it for you.”She said, he grabbed her wrist and spun her back into his arms next his mouth was on hers for a few minutes.”No.”She gasped pulling away and quickly dashed to fetch his clothing including her own, she cannot believe their clothes are strewn all over the kitchen floor, Sage smiled they attacked each other like two hungry rabbits she’s never behaved so shamelessly to a point that she doesn’t care where, when or how Bruno has her all that matters is their naked bodies coming together, yet again she’s never found someone who makes her feel what Bruno does. Pure desire. Lust. Need. Fire, with him she can be free, herself. A certain kind of peace comes over her whenever he’s around her and she’s in his arms, almost as if her home lies in him. OMG. What is she thinking, feeling shrugging it off she went to give him his clothes before preparing their food, she checked the time and saw it was nine thirty she hopes Bruno put Liam back to bed if one of them wakes, the other does too and if that happens Sage know they won’t be going to bed soon. But that hope died the second Bruno strolled into the kitchen with both Logan and Liam, he looked utterly gorgeous holding them on one arm each, bare chested and bare feet, his hair is all disheveled and a few strands are hanging over his forehead. If anyone can see them now they’d think they are the perfect family the boys are smiling with their six teeth each, they are so happy with Bruno even he has a huge smile on his face as he was looking down at them, so much love shone in his eyes, it made her own heart burst and bloom with love.”Why aren’t they in bed.”She asked taking one of them.”You do know they not gonna go to bed any time soon.”
“I don’t mind. Do you?”He set Liam down in his high chair.
She doesn’t it’s not like she has work, her contract ended four days ago she hasn’t found anything yet.”No, I don’t. Be prepared for a long night.”After setting Logan in his chair too, she gave them each a treat nothing sweet along with their bottles, she and Bruno decided to eat at the breakfast bar.”I can only assume you spending the night.”What happened to them not crossing this line again but they did. Where to from now. Will they continue this way.
“Don’t you want me to.”He touched her cheek.
“Even if don’t want you to, you’ll stay anyway.”
“I like spending time with you. The boys too, how about we go out tomorrow just the four of us. Logan is perfectly healthy to go out.”
“Don’t you have work, a company or companies to run.”
“One day off won’t make the business collapse, I have second in commands who can stand in for me. So do we agree.”
“We agree.”She said after a minute.”I’m sure they’d love to spend a day with their father.”
“And you. Would you love to spend a day with their father.”
“As a matter of fact I would.”She allowed herself to get lost in his eyes for a second. There’s no harm in pretending for a day that they are a happy family she’ll give the boys a fun day with both parents.”How many hours a day do you work out.”
“Five. Six tops.”He drank his wine.
“That explains why you so active and have this never ending energy.”
He laughed.”Am I too much for you.”
“Not in the least, I was just asking that’s all. I now know why the boys are also so energetic and full of stamina.”His grin grew bigger.
“I’m just glad I finally found a woman who matches up with my big sexual appetite.”He leaned forward to steal a kiss, she let him. Only for now she can let go and allow herself to enjoy this man, who makes her burn so badly for him. What harm can it cause to let loose for a while.”You very comfortable sitting with me and eating dinner. What if your boyfriend comes.”
She set her fork down.”Bruno I.. I have something to tell you.”He kept on eating as if she didn’t say anything.”I lied about seeing someone.”
“I know.”He said, sipping his wine.”You cannot possibly touch me, kiss me and make love to me so openly and still see someone else. One thing I do know is that you can’t lie or fake what you feel. The way you respond to my touches and kisses it’s impossible for you to experience that with someone else unless if you’re a good actor and we both know you’re not very good at hiding your feelings or pretending.”
“And how can you be so sure.”
“Years of experience sweetheart, I can read people I’m good at it and you are very easy for me to read.”He touched the tip of her nose.”Why did you lie anyway. We’re so great together, this is delicious by the way.”
“Because I was afraid.”She said.”Of what you make me feel. I thought pushing you away and keeping a distance would work but..”
“It hasn’t.”He finished, she nodded.”And now? Are you still gonna push me away.”
“What would it help. I’m still gonna want you at the end of the day. I’m tired of fighting against this attraction between us, I’m tired of running away from something that’s bound to happen.”
“We’re drawn to each other Sage. Like to magnets, it doesn’t matter how hard we can fight or turn away from this, we’re always gonna end up back together again.”
“I know that now.”She admitted, his hand came up to caress her face she leaned into his touch.
“Don’t ever lie to me again.”He said softly.”I’m not a child and I don’t expect you to keep or hide things from me. I hate dishonesty.”
“I promise not to lie to you again. But I’m still not gonna marry you.”
“We’ll see my beauty.”He continued eating, so did she. While she was busy putting the dishes in the dishwasher Bruno played with the boys, she wonder if she has ever seen them so happy, they love their father and he does them.
She had been so wrong to think that Bruno wasn’t the father type, he adores their boys she had misjudge him and felt so bad for that. She should’ve given him a chance to prove he can be a loving father, and so far he has proven he’ll be the best father her boys could’ve asked for. Should she consider his marriage proposal, can they really give the boys a loving home, a family. She never did know her biological father as for her mother, she couldn’t care less about her even when social services had taken her away she didn’t even bother to fought for her only child, she made a promise to herself that she’d never let the boys suffer or lack anything especially when it comes to having the love of both parents. Bruno wants them to give Liam and Logan a proper family, some thing most kids can only dream of having, but can she really take the chance of marrying Bruno and not fall in love cause that will happen, and what if this lust fades away will he still want her, wanna be with her she doesn’t want a man who’ll stay with her because he has to. She needs love the same way she’ll give hers in return.”Penny for them?”He asked interrupting her thoughts.
“Why do you want us to get engaged or married. I don’t understand there’s so many beautiful women out there, women who match up with you and your comfortable lifestyle what on earth could you possibly want from a woman who has nothing to offer you, who doesn’t even fit into your world.”
“You have much more to give me than any woman can, that’s why I want you I don’t care what anyone says or think, I certainly don’t give a damn if you’ll fit into my world or not. I like you the way you are, you beautiful just the way you are and I wouldn’t change anything about you. I want you because you’re different from the women I usually date, I want you as mine because you’re one of a kind and not many men can have you. I want you because you intrigue me, you keep me interested, you don’t bore me especially in bed. You satisfy my hunger, my needs, lust in every possible way I’ve come across and been with many women but not one of them match up to you. Is that reason enough or do you want more.”Sage was too speechless to say anything.”Something tells me you’re considering my proposal or am I wrong?”
“Can I not be alone with my thoughts without having you intrude on them.”

“I’m not considering anything Bruno, marriage is a lifetime commitment and I need to be sure I’m marrying the right man, for me and the boys. I never wanted to get married and I still don’t.”
“I can make you happy if you give us a chance. Would marriage to me be so bad.”No it would be a love sentence for her if she can marry him, and a death sentence the day they part ways rich people get married and divorce like it’s nothing, once she marries it should be for life and with the man she loves.
“No it’s not that…” She started.
“Please don’t tell me you actually believe in love.”He interrupted.
“What’s wrong in believing in love, we all need love in our lives.”
“Some yes, others no. Not everyone is cut out to love or be loved and I’m one of those people who do not believe in love and I know I won’t ever fall for anyone. Love can be beautiful but it also brings pain and sorrow.”
“Clearly we have different views on love I on the other hand won’t lose hope or faith that someday I’ll fall in love with someone who’ll equally love me back. Same way you don’t believe in love neither do I in marriage.”
“So you want to fall in love then get married.”He asked.
“What’s wrong in that. You won’t fall in love or wanna be loved.”
“Is that what you think, just because I won’t ever fall in love I wouldn’t wanna be loved.”
“I don’t know what to think when I’m with you.”She said, he studied her she held his gaze.
