“Oh my gosh!”She exclaimed.”Liam and Logan I’ve completely forgotten about them, their shots!”She made way to get up but Bruno blocked her with his hand.
“You don’t need to worry, Margarita took care of them, she knows how it works after mom fell ill she’s the one who took care of me and Hugo. I trust her.”Sage relaxed immediately.
“Who’s Margarita?”She asked.
“My housekeeper, she looks after me like a mother would. You can stay in bed after you had breakfast or should I ask Margarita to bring it in here.”
“No.”Sage said.”I can’t sleep all day especially in your bed-…”
“I like you in my bed.”Sage stopped midway in drinking her tea.”It’s where I want you to be. Always.”No words would form or come.
“I cannot stay in bed Bruno, we need to get home.”She saw something flash in his eyes but couldn’t read what it was.”We don’t want to intrude on your privacy, what if your fiancee finds us here it would be best if we leave.”
He was quiet for so long that it worried her eventually he stood and said.”Go get ready I’ll wait for you. We need to talk.”
“If it’s about last night don’t bother Bruno. I know where we stand and you don’t have to worry I won’t tell your fiancee anything. I’m a grown woman and I knew what I was getting myself in for when I slept with you. I wanted you too, I also don’t expect anything from you either.”
“I brought you clothes. Get ready.”He turned and walked out, Sage climbed out of bed but it took her a while, she’s aching not to mention sore and tender between her thighs. He folded the newspaper and set it down.”She does.”He responded to her question.
“You very secretive about the woman you gonna marry.”She said.”Anyway you said you wanted to talk. May I ask about what.”
“Our relationship.”
She stopped eating.”Our relationship.”She repeated.”We don’t have a relationship Bruno.”
“Aren’t you keen to know who the woman I’m gonna marry is.”
“That’s none of my business. I thought last night was a one time thing you cannot possible think because of it we suddenly have a relationship.”
He held her gaze, Sage didn’t like that look it made her nervous, he has something planned and she won’t like it one bit.”You not seriously gonna sit there and think I’m about to let you go after you so openly gave yourself to me last night, made me intimately explore every inch of your skin.”He leaned closer to her.”You mine now and I won’t share you with anyone.”
Sage’s head was reeling at his words he couldn’t possibly be serious.”I don’t belong to anyone least of all a man who’s about to get engage. She continued reading. The well known sought after bachelor has announced his engagement to this mystery woman.
