Celestia stared at the tab, they slowly went to the red dot on the map. She has been telling Matthew the direction. They are slowly getting into the woods. Damian looks around, noticing they are slowly getting further away from the city.
Riccardo never knew his father had a secret base. Well, it’s not like he cares about it. Matthew parked the car at the side of the road.
“Are you sure this is the place, Cel? We are…on the highway right now,” Matthew looks around in confusion.
“That’s where it led us on,” Celestia shows her tab.
“Are you sure there’s no mistake on your tablet?” Victor asks.
She glares at him, “I just bought this.”
“I didn’t say it was broken, women,” he rolls his eyes. “Who knows there’s something wrong or something is lag.”
“There’s no building around here,” Matthew agreed.
“But look at this. We already arrived,” she lifted her tablet. “There’s no way we are the wrong place, or this stuff is giving us the wrong lead.”
“I think…it inside the woods,” Riccardo added.
They look at their side, looking at the woods. Maybe what Riccardo said is true. They exchange a look and nod.
“Grab everything that we need,” Damian demands.
They grab everything, a weapon, small first aid and some important stuff. Celestia pulls out the long sniper and reloads it. Matthew arches his eyebrows seeing her holding it.
“It’s been a while since I’ve seen you holding that,” he smirks.
“I miss this baby too,” she looks at her sniper in adoration.
“You look hot holding it,” Matthew bluntly speaks.
Celestia flustered and cleared her throat. Victor and Riccardo exchange looks, then chuckle to themselves. She acted like she didn’t hear what Matthew just said. More like she made herself deaf.
“Is everyone ready?” Damian asks, no bother by what happened.
Matthias rushed inside the camera room.
“What is the emergency that you guys have to call me?” He sneers.
“We detect some movement near the building. Before we could locate it, we got hacked,” the guard explains.
Matthias narrows his eyes on the screen. He wants to believe that Damian is the one who caused this, but the thought of him never finding out this base still lingering in his mind.
He made sure this base wouldn’t be found by anyone, and no one knew this base, not even his son.
“Maybe it was the wild animal-we are in the woods right now. What do you expect?” Matthias scolds them.
“But sir-”
“Find a way to stop the hackers. No one knew this base. There’s no way people lingering around here,” he scoffs, confronts himself.
The guards exchange looks and just agreed with what he said. No matter what they said, Matthias wouldn’t listen to it and they knew it.
“Go back to work,” he scowls before leaving the room and slams the door shut.
Melody flinches as the door opens. He is back with a grumpy expression on his face. She smirks knowing something.
“What’s wrong? Your rival is coming?” She grins.
Matthias breaths out harshly through his nose. Suddenly, he stomps towards her and grabs her arms. Melody hissed in pain when he treated her roughly.
“Ow! What is wrong with you, old man!?” Melody whines in pain.
He didn’t say anything, instead he dragged her down the hallway. Melody is limping since her feet hurt after the hit they gave her. Matthias pushes the door open and throws her in.
Melody grunts in pain. She couldn’t move since her wrists were tied. Her head lifted, looking at him, who was glaring at her. His hand clenched into a fist. Without saying anything, he snaps his fingers.
The guard gave the bomb to him.
Melody’s eyes widen in shock. He crouches down in front of her and wraps the belt around her waist. She struggles from his grip.
“Let me go!!” She yells.
He tightened the belt around her waist, “Just in case. This bomb will activate once your husband steps into this building.”
His words make Melody stunned. Matthias gets up and stomps out of the room. The door slams shut, leaving Melody who didn’t know what to do.
They hide behind the bushes. Damian looks around the place and notices a lot of guards guarding everywhere. His eyes darted everywhere to find some way in.
“What made you think twice?” Riccardo asks.
“Matthias got a lot of men. We are only five of us here. We can’t ambush just like that without our men ready for back up,” he answers.
Riccardo nods, “Make sense. My men are on their way, around 30 to 25 minutes like that. How about you?”
“Vic, how soon will they be here?” Damian turns to Victor.
“Around 30 minutes? Less than that, probably,” Victor answers.
Damian hums, “If that’s so, Celestia, you know what to do?”
Celestia smirks and nods. She gets up and gets to her suitable spots for a sniper. She finally found the right spots for her. A hidden place and a good view to shoot people. She laid down and looked through the target hole.
“I’m in position,” she talks through her earpiece.
Damian gets the information. “Great. Mat, Vic, can I trust both of you to find Melody?”
“You can trust us,” Matthew grins while Victor nods.
Damian looks at them. His eyes show that his emotions are mixed up. Those men noticed the looks and they exchanged looks before turning to their leader. They know how much it takes for Damian to hold himself right now.
He wants to save his wife, but he has a more important thing to handle.
“Don’t worry, Dam. We promised, we will bring her back to your arms,” Matthew confronts him.
“We told you; we do anything to make you have your happiness back.” Victor slightly smiles.
Damian pauses for a moment before he sighs. “Fine. I trust both of you. Remember, no matter what, make it silence.”
They grinned and nodded before slowly getting up and left to find their way in. Damian sighs and turns to Riccardo who already looks at him.
“You are with me?” He arches his eyebrows.
“Well, you don’t like it?” Riccardo asked him back.
“I don’t like you but…I still need your help. Let’s go,” he rolls his eyes.
Riccardo let out a small chuckle before following him.
They walk quietly and hide behind the wall. Damian hides behind the wall; he aims the silent gun towards the gun and shoots him right in the head. He gestures to Riccardo to follow him.
As they get on another floor, there are more than one guard. Damian pressed on his earpiece, “Cel, a little help. Can you shoot from outside?”
Celestia moves to the floor he’s on and smirks. “I can but only a few people who are near to the window.”
“It’s okay. Take them one. The rest we will do it on our own,” he replied.
“Roger that,” she answers.
Without wasting her time, she shot them one by one. Riccardo and Damian attack the others from behind.
“Where do you think he will be?” Damian turns to Riccardo.
“He’s a boss. Of course, on top of this building,” Riccardo smirks.
Matthew moves the knife to his neck and slides it. The guard held his neck and fell on the ground.
“Do you have any idea where they hide Melody?” He inquired.
“I’m not sure. Looks like we must check every single door then,” Victor shrugs, kicks the dead body.
“Cel, you can’t help us to find Melody here?” Matthew asks.
Celestia grunts, “I can’t. The tracker only gives us the location, not helping us by telling us which room she is in, idiot.”
“Geez, your gadget is useless,” he mumbles.
“I’m sorry if it’s useless to you, mister,” she sarcastically answers.
Victor shakes his head, had enough with their fight. They continue walks and that’s when they bump into some guards. They look at each other with a shocked and unexpected reaction.
“I thought you said this floor is clear,” Matthew whispers to Victor.
“I thought it was,” Victor sighs.
“INTRUDERS!!” one of the men pressed the emergency button that they had.
The bell starts to ring, causing everyone to alert. Celestia sighs, pinches the bridge of her nose. Their plan works so well, but because of this, everything is ruined. Now, they can’t hide or do it in silence while waiting for the backup.
“What the fuck happened!? I told you guys to keep it silent!” Damian scolds them through earpiece.
“We are sorry!” Matthew cried out.
