Chapter 424: Don’t You Remember?

Dave could tell that Blake was singing this song just for Bianca.
Dave looked at Blake on stage, the center of everyone’s attention, and tightened his fists.
He remembered when Bianca and Blake had watched meteors together in the quiet night, and his face darkened.
A bitter feeling rose in him as Blake used this moment to declare his love for Bianca in front of a national audience.
It was certainly a bold gesture.
Dave let out a cold snort and shot a quick glance at Bianca.
In a hushed voice, he asked, “Do you like this song?”
Feeling his intense stare, Bianca avoided looking at him and casually replied, “I find it quite lovely.”
Dave sneered, and his lips curled slightly. “Is it the song you like or the singer?”
Bianca’s heart skipped a beat. She looked at him and replied firmly, “It’s none of your business.”
Dave opened his mouth twice but couldn’t find the words. He turned away and focused ahead, ignoring her completely.
Bianca nervously bit her pink lips, confused by his question. She had ended things with him-why did it matter who she liked?
Still, his words kept bothering her.
Blake’s song felt like it was meant just for her.
Could it be that Dave was jealous?
Shocked by the thought, Bianca quickly shook her head, trying to push it away.
Thinking the song was over and the performance nearly finished, the audience let out a collective gasp.
Bianca looked toward the center of the stage. Suddenly, her body froze, and her eyes widened in shock.
On stage, Blake gripped the edge of the piano with both hands. He clearly wanted to stand, but it was a struggle. The music reached a powerful climax.
The crowd went wild, some standing, fists clenched, shouting, “You’ve got this, Blake!”
Despite his efforts, Blake’s face turned red from the strain. His legs felt heavy like they had no strength.
Using only his upper body, he pushed himself to rise.
It was a painful sight to watch.
Tears filled Bianca’s eyes.
The doctor had said it would take at least three years for Blake to stand again. His recovery required intense rehabilitation, but progress was not guaranteed in just a few months or even a year.
Many people gave up without immediate results.
But without the rehab, his life would be forever changed.
She had been with him during several attempts, but they always ended in failure.
Bianca often worried if Blake had the strength to keep going.
Yet, here he was, on a national stage, determined to stand.
His actions showed just how strong his will was.
Feeling inspired, Bianca clenched her fists and cheered for Blake quietly.
As she watched him struggle to push himself up, Bianca jumped to her feet and shouted excitedly, “Blake, come on! You can do it! Stand up!”
Responding to Bianca’s encouragement, Blake clenched his fists and summoned every ounce of strength until he stood upright.
At that moment, the music reached its peak, perfectly matching the thrilling atmosphere.
With one hand on the piano and the other holding the microphone, Blake sang with all his heart. “You’re my dream, my only light, my heart’s eternal flight.
Every obstacle will fade away, to joy’s peak, I’ll lead the way.
Please, once more, meet my gaze; in your eyes, our story is ablaze.”
Blake’s eyes landed on Bianca in the audience as he sang the last line.
Tears shimmered in Bianca’s eyes as she stood and gave Blake a thumbs-up.
Blake smiled brightly in return.
Dave stood nearby, watching them, his expression cold as ice.
Without warning, he grabbed Bianca’s wrist.
Before she could react, Dave stood up and pulled her away.
“Let go!” Bianca whispered, calling out to Dave. He ignored her, pulling her along without stopping.
Bianca wanted to resist, but the idea of making a scene in such a crowded place stopped her.
She didn’t want her image to spread across the internet and fuel more gossip in the entertainment world.
Slowly, she lowered her head and let Dave lead her away.
Around them, the crowd’s focus was on Blake, cheering loudly, drowning out everything else.
Caught up in the moment, Diana cried as she watched Blake, unaware of what was happening with Bianca and Dave.
In the dim light, Blake noticed Bianca being pulled away. His face tightened in concern.
Once outside the hall, Bianca yanked her wrist free from Dave’s grip.
They were alone now. Bianca spun to face him, her eyes wide with anger, her frustration finally spilling over. “What the hell do you think you’re doing?”
Dave’s strong presence shoved her back against the wall, trapping her with his body.
His breath was hot and shaky against her face, showing his anger.
Bianca tilted her head up, pretending to stay calm, but her eyes showed her anger. “Why are you so upset? We’re done. I have nothing to do with you anymore. Don’t you remember?”
“Do you really think I’d let you go just like that?” Dave’s voice was tight as his fist slammed into the wall beside her.
Bianca flinched, shrinking against his towering presence as her eyes showed a hint of fear.
Seeing her reaction, Dave chuckled bitterly, his voice rough. “Have you really forgotten everything you promised?”
Confused, Bianca stammered, “What-what did I say?”
Dave’s eyes darkened, and frustrations were clear. “Since you’ve forgotten, let me remind you.”
He reached for her, his hand wrapping around her waist. He leaned down and kissed her red lips.
Bianca’s eyes widened in shock. She hadn’t expected the kiss. Her hands pressed against his chest, trying to push him away, but he was too strong.
He held her tightly, kissing her with an intensity that left her breathless.
But then, an alarm went off in Bianca’s mind, bringing her back to her senses.
When she couldn’t break free, she bit down hard on his thin lips.
He winced, but instead of letting go, his grip tightened, and he kissed her even harder.
Bianca thought he was mad.
He seemed unaware of her struggles or her need to breathe, holding her as if her resistance didn’t matter, even when she was in pain.
His forcefulness left her mind blank and her body weakened.
Against her will, she found herself responding to his kiss.
Then, Dave pulled back. His gaze softened, filled with affection, and he spoke in a low, captivating tone. “Do you remember now?”
