It seemed there was no good solution. Feeling drained, Bianca slumped in her chair, overwhelmed with confusion.
“Bianc, Bianca!” Leonel called out anxiously when Bianca didn’t respond right away.
After taking a moment to collect herself, Bianca asked, “What time does the launch start? How long will it last?”
“It starts at ten in the morning and will take no more than two hours,” Leonel replied.
Bianca quickly came up with a plan. Her eyes lit up as she said, “Don’t worry. Reese will make it to your event.”
“That’s great! I knew you could do it!” Leonel said with a relieved sigh.
After hanging up, Bianca sat quietly, deep in thought.
Later that afternoon, the Research and Development Center announced the launch date for the new obesity medication and named Reese the ambassador.
The news quickly shot to the top of the search rankings.
Reese has gained popularity recently. Her past weight loss is now well known, and her fans are excited and praise her.
“Reese really has talent. Her first commercial is amazing!”
“This must be the medication that helped Reese slim down. It looks so effective; I can’t wait to try it!”
“I’m excited to see how Reese does at the event!”
The show’s filming schedule is usually not shared with the public, so no one has discussed it yet. This gave Bianca some time to think.
She contacted the show’s production team and asked for Reese to be the last contestant to perform. After her segment, they would film her opening scene. This plan would help fix any issues during editing.
The production team focused all their attention on the two artists under Bianca’s management.
The team was happy to meet their needs as long as they could join the filming.
Once everything was set, Bianca felt relieved. She briefed Reese on the plan, and soon, it was time to start filming.
This time, the production team kept the guest list a secret. They planned to reveal it the day before the event, hoping to surprise the audience and boost the show’s ratings.
Since his car accident, Blake has stayed out of the public eye. His situation was brought to the attention of the media after his last press conference.
Many journalists had gathered outside that morning, wanting to cover his return.
Finally, Blake’s car pulled up in front of the venue.
When Bianca saw the crowd of reporters, she looked back at Blake, who was sitting in the back.
“Blake, I’ll distract the reporters. Let Diana take you through the side entrance.”
“Don’t worry. I’ll go through the front door,” Blake said calmly.
“But…” Bianca glanced at his legs, unsure.
Blake smiled gently and said, “That’s exactly why I can’t hide.”
Seeing his calmness, Bianca nodded. “Okay, I’ll go with you.”
She turned to Diana and said, “Let’s go!”
The two of them opened the car doors together, one on each side.
The assistant took out a wheelchair from the trunk and placed it by the car.
With Bianca and Diana’s help, Blake got out of the car and into the wheelchair.
The moment was caught by the reporters, who snapped pictures of everything.
As Bianca pushed the wheelchair, the press crowded around them.
Microphones were shoved in front of them one after another.
“Blake, how is your recovery from the leg injury? Are you feeling confident about the competition?”
“Will you need a wheelchair during the competition? Do you plan to pursue a career in singing?”
“In the highly competitive entertainment world, what are the company’s plans for Blake’s future? If he doesn’t win, will the company still support him?”
The reporters seemed unconcerned with Blake’s feelings, asking sharp and direct questions.
Bianca wasn’t happy, but she kept a calm smile and prepared to handle the questions.
Before she could speak, Blake reached out and took a microphone from one of the reporters.
Other reporters crowded around, wanting to catch Blake’s words.
“Blake…” Bianca’s concern was clear in her eyes.
Blake gave Bianca a small shake of his head before turning to the reporters with a calm smile. His voice was soft and reassuring. “I’m confident in this competition because I believe that people with conviction won’t let challenges stop them. Even though I can’t walk right now, I know I’ll stand on stage again someday. And my agent, Ms. Scott, has never thought about giving up on me. She’s been a great support during my hospital stay. While other companies might drop an artist with physical issues, Emerald Artists Agency, and especially Bianca, have always been there for me. She’s the best agent.”
His words were a nice plug for Emerald Artists Agency and Bianca, giving them some good publicity.
One reporter asked, “Where’s Reese? Is she avoiding you because of your injury?”
The question made Reese look bad, suggesting she wasn’t being supportive.
Before Bianca could answer, Blake stepped in smoothly. “Reese will be here soon. We’re good friends, so there’s no need for rumors.”
Blake winked at Bianca, and she nodded, signaling Diana.
Diana skillfully made her way through the crowd, trying to clear a path between the relentless reporters.
Despite their efforts, the reporters kept pushing for more answers. The tense atmosphere was broken when the sound of an engine roared in the distance.
Everyone turned at once toward the source of the noise.
A bright red Lamborghini pulled up outside the recording hall, immediately catching everyone’s attention. When the door opened, a stylish man in black sunglasses stepped out-it was Brandon!
“Hey, it’s Brandon! What’s he doing here? Is he a guest on the show?”
Reporters rushed toward Brandon, excited.
In the passenger seat sat a powerful figure.
As he stepped out of the car, his tall frame and confident walk drew everyone’s eyes.
He stood tall, with a proud posture and a handsome face. His deep, mysterious eyes and sharp jawline made him stand out. His charm is impossible to miss under the sunlight.
Who was this man?
The reporters exchanged confused looks, but their drive for the next big story pushed them forward, cameras raised as they moved closer to Brandon.
Bianca’s eyes shifted, seeing Dave in the crowd.
His strong presence struck her, as if she’d been hit by lightning.
“Bianc, what’s wrong?” Blake asked, his brow furrowed as he followed her eyes.
His eyes widened in surprise.
Why was Bianca’s boyfriend here?
“Bianc, why is your boyfriend with Brandon?”
Blake’s curiosity got the best of him.
Bianca spoke quietly, “Ex-boyfriend. We broke up.”
Her eyes stayed fixed on Dave, far away but clear.
He turned around as if he felt her stare, and their eyes met across the busy crowd.
It felt like time had stopped for a moment as they stared at each other.
