BONNIE
Bonnie stared at her phone with nerves coursing through her body. Was she really going to do this? Ethan had asked for her to call so they could talk. She was nervous Ethan was going to tell her he still didn’t like that she was with two men.
“You’ve got to do it at some point. Putting it off is only going to make you more nervous,” Daddy Ray said as he walked past the room.
She slumped into her chair. Daddy Ray was right, but that still didn’t make it any easier. Ethan was her brother and she loved him a lot. She wanted to make him proud, but she felt like she’d disappointed him so many times recently.
Bonnie took a deep breath and hit the call button. Ethan demanded they do a video call. She knew why and it was because of her. She liked to see people’s faces to see if they were getting mad at her or showing any other emotion. It made it easier on her to gauge what someone was feeling.
“Hello, Bonnie,” Ethan said as his face appeared on her phone. “How are you doing?”
“Good, and you?”
“Bonnie.”
“Okay, I’m super-duper nervous. I’m worried you’re going to be mad or disappointed with me. I don’t want you to tell me I should leave Daddy and Daddy Ray because I won’t do it. I just won’t,” she rushed out.
He sighed. “I wasn’t going to say that and I’m sorry I made you feel like I would. It wasn’t my intention.”
She sagged her shoulders and took a deep breath in. Well, now she was curious on why he did want to talk. What were they going to talk about? The weather? Bonnie looked around the room he was in, well, the bits and pieces she could see through the screen. He was sitting in his office, but what caught her eye were the stuffed zebras.
“What are you doing with stuffed zebras again?” she asked. “Did someone send them to you? A secret admirer?”
Bonnie was getting excited. She’d seen zebras in the house before, but she’d never asked about them. They had slowly disappeared each time and Ethan got more.
“They are for someone very special,” Ethan said.
“Who? Do I know her? Are you seeing someone?”
“You’ll meet her soon enough.”
She gave him a suspicious look. He wasn’t showing any facial expressions which made it impossible to see what he was thinking or feeling.
“Are you being nice to her?” she asked.
Ethan didn’t blink. “I wanted to apologize to you.”
He was changing the subject. So he wasn’t being nice to her. Which left everything up in the air. She knew he wouldn’t hurt a woman, but that still left a lot of things he could do.
“Just don’t be too mean to her. You want her to like you, not hate you,” Bonnie gently said. “And I know you won’t hurt innocent women, and I definitely know you aren’t interested in someone that isn’t innocent.”
Ethan blinked several times. That was his ‘I’m not impressed’ face. Well, it was his lots of faces, but she just guessed he wasn’t impressed with her right now. It was a full-time job trying to figure out what a facial expression meant when he only had one.
A full-time job she wasn’t actually doing. No one had time for that, but maybe this mysterious girl did.
“This girl loves me,” Ethan said.
Her eyebrows raised. Who could this person be? Who could love her brother? That sounded rude, but he was just so emotionless and hard. He was dark and didn’t care if he hurt anyone’s feelings or not. He dealt with a lot of bad things.
“Don’t ask me any more questions. You know I’m not going to answer them so don’t even try,” Ethan said before she could open her mouth.
She sighed and nodded her head. He knew her too well. She always had so many questions for him. It wasn’t her fault. Ethan kept a lot of things a secret. He was really good at it. He was also really good at not being seen and doing things.
One time Bonnie had overheard some of his men talking about Ethan stalking someone for over a week. Leaving little hints that he was close enough to kill them, but hadn’t yet.
It freaked her out when she heard it. Where had he learned that stuff? She figured it had to be when he joined underground fighting and was gone for several days at a time. He’d always made sure she was okay, but he left for days, sometimes longer. He’d probably been training at that time.
“I wanted to say I was sorry for trying to force you into an arranged marriage. Things at work have been very stressful and more dangerous recently. I needed to focus on that, but I couldn’t spare any more of my men to make sure you were safe,” Ethan said.
“You could have just hired people,” she whispered.
“I don’t trust them, and I know they wouldn’t be up to my standards.”
She sighed. He was so uptight about those things. He wanted the best for everything and anything below that wasn’t acceptable.
“I just want you to know that, if I could go back, I wouldn’t tell you I was going to put you into an arranged marriage,” Ethan said.
“I’m glad you did,” she whispered. “If you wouldn’t have, then I never would have met Daddy or Daddy Ray. So while what you did, I didn’t like and wished you never did, I’m also glad because I met the loves of my life.”
Ethan sighed. “I’m glad you’re happy and you have two Daddies to look after you.”
Bonnie knew it was incredibly hard for him to say that. He didn’t like the fact that she was with them, but he was accepting it. He saw how much she loved them. She also saw how his jaw clenched as he spoke. If he had it his way, she would be back with him and he would try and find someone suitable for her that she would also like.
She just knew it.
But he wasn’t. She’d stood up to him, and told him no, and he was trying to respect that.
“Thank you,” she gently said.
“I’ve got to go. But you keep them on their toes,” Ethan said.
ROGAN
Rogan sighed and answered the video call. He knew Bonnie was talking to her brother and he thought it was the best time to talk to his sister. He needed to, especially since he’d finally seen the light-the wrong he had done to her.
“Why do you want to fucking talk to me?” Hedda asked. “It’s so unlike you to call.”
“Hello to you as well,” Rogan replied.
He wasn’t offended by what Hedda said. It was how she talked to everyone.
“Hedda! We’ve talked about this before. Stop cursing,” Leo yelled.
Rogan held in his laugh. He’d tried to get Hedda to stop cursing as much when she lived with him, but it was no use. She wouldn’t listen to anyone and cursed even more.
“Sorry, Daddy,” she called back.
“You’ll be writing lines after the call.”
She groaned and Rogan couldn’t help but chuckle. He loved that she was getting the discipline she so desperately needed.
“Stop laughing at me,” Hedda huffed. “Now, why did you want to call me?”
He clenched his jaw and took a deep breath in. He didn’t make it a habit of making mistakes and having to apologize, but he needed to do this.
“I’m sorry for telling you to stop crying and that you were weak for it,” he said.
Hedda’s eyes went wide and her mouth fell open. He was expecting that reaction.
“Wh-what?” she whispered.
“You heard me,” he growled.
He knew he shocked her, but Rogan also knew she heard him.
“I forgive you. I know a lot of it was because of what Dad did to Mom,”
Hedda said. “It did hurt when you said it, but I tried to be understanding.”
“It wasn’t right of me. I’m going to make it up to you somehow,” he replied.
“You don’t have to do that.”
He could see how uncomfortable she was getting.
“I need to,” he said. “I really need to make it up to you.”
“Well. Umm. Okay…” She sounded so unsure. “What changed?”
He took a deep breath in. He was going to have to tell her about Bonnie and Ray soon enough. Now was the perfect moment.
“I met someone who cries a lot. Well, two people who have cried, one more than the other and it’s been a battle. A long and hard battle, but it’s been a battle,” he said.
Hedda laughed and almost fell off her chair. He was not impressed with her.
“Sorry!” She laughed again.
“You’re not sorry at all, so don’t even pretend to be,” he replied.
“I know, but I just had to say it. I mean, karma much?”
He waited for her to stop laughing. “Are you done yet?”
“I just am shocked. I mean, it really is karma. I thought you would have ended up with someone who was strong and never cried. But it’s the exact opposite.”
Rogan had thought the same thing and before he met Bonnie, that was all he wished for. Now he was content and happy. He couldn’t imagine it any other way.
“So do you get on to her and the other person? I’m guessing it’s Raynar?” Hedda asked.
“How’d you guess that?”
“The way he looked at you. I knew you were bi, but I didn’t know if he was or not. I got a feeling he had a crush on you, but I also didn’t know if it was a ‘because he looked up to you’ kind of crush.”
Rogan nodded his head. He knew people probably picked up on it before anything happened. He was pretty sure Raynar tried to keep it a secret, but probably didn’t do a good job.
“How does your relationship work with them?” Hedda asked. “I didn’t think Raynar was exclusively a sub or well, Little.”
“He’s a switch. Sub for me and a Daddy to Bonnie,” he replied.
“That makes sense. Well, I’m happy for all three of you.”
He gave her a smile. Rogan was happy she was okay with him being with Raynar and Bonnie. Even if she hadn’t met Bonnie yet.
“So, are you going to answer my question?” she asked.
“No, I haven’t gotten onto them like that. I normally take a deep breath, hug them, and hold it back. Though, if the crying is heading toward a tantrum, then all bets are off,” he said. “I don’t tolerate tantrums.”
Hedda laughed and shook her head. “Oh, I know. When can I meet her?”
Rogan looked at the time. He knew Bonnie was on the phone with her brother and she’d said it wouldn’t take long. “Let me go see if she’s off her call.”
He grabbed the phone and made his way over to the room she was in.
Peeking his head in, he saw she’d just gotten off.
“Bon,” he gently said, trying not to startle her. “Hi, Daddy!” She gave him a big smile.
“Your talk with your brother go okay?”
She nodded her head and looked at the phone in his hand.
“I’ve got someone I would like you to meet,” Rogan said, walking over to her.
She looked at him with curiosity. He hadn’t talked about his sister much because he didn’t have a good time for them to meet. Rogan didn’t want to make Bonnie nervous every day until they met.
Setting the phone down on the table, he pointed at his screen. “This is my sister, Hedda. Hedda, this is Bonnie, one of my Littles.” “Hi, Bonnie! It’s so nice to meet you!” Hedda yelled.
“Hi,” Bonnie whispered. She was shy, but hopefully she would get more comfortable around Hedda with time.
He held back a chuckle as he watched Bonnie get all shy and nervous. She had her moments of being outgoing and wanting to meet everyone, but it wasn’t often. He loved that about her though. Her true self was only shown to the people she trusted, and he was one of them. Well, and Raynar.
Rogan took a step back and watched as they interacted. He didn’t want to intrude on them getting to know each other and becoming friends.
“This is Lila,” Hedda said as he brought a stuffed horse into the frame.
“Do you have any stuffed animals?”
“I’ve got several. Mosey is my Mosasaurus stuffie and I got some more the other day! All in the same family!” Bonnie’s voice got higher and lighter.
“That is so cool! You’ll have to come down sometime and hang out with me. Or I can come visit there. But we definitely need to hang out soon.
We’re going to be besties from a distance, but still besties!” “Did you ask her if she wanted that?” Leo asked.
“That’s my Daddy. Don’t worry about him,” Hedda whispered.
Rogan shook his head. She was going to land herself a spanking and corner time. But what did he expect? Hedda had grown comfortable with her two Daddies and loved pushing the limits.
“Hedda…” Leo’s warning voice filled the room.
It was like they were right in this room with them instead of over the phone and in a different state.
“No, I haven’t asked. Sorry,” Hedda said. “Do you want to be my friend? It’s totally okay if you don’t want to be. I can be a lot.”
Bonnie looked over at him and he gave her a smile. He could tell she was getting overwhelmed.
“You’re okay,” he whispered. “I’m right here.”
She looked back at the phone and nodded her head. “I would love that. I don’t have many friends, but I do want more.”
“It’s settled! We’re besties from a distance now!”
