“Why you sitting out here?”.
“Can’t be bothered moving”. I laughed but it soon turned into a groan, my hand going straight to my stomach.
“Ava?”. His eyes dropped to my stomach.
“I’m fine”. I smiled. “It’s just cramp. Is Blaze still here?”.
“He’s in the office. You want me to get him?”.
“No Jared he’ll just worry. I’m going to head home. Please make sure he doesn’t forget he’s picking up Everleigh”.
“Alright darling. I’ll see you later”.

I was sat on our bed still in my towel. I had a bath thinking it would help but I was still having little twinges here and there.
Taking a deep breath, I placed my hand on my stomach and rubbed gently. It was just cramp, nothing to worry about. Hearing the roar of the engine I frowned. He was supposed to pick up Everleigh. Why was he riding his bike?
Hearing the front door open and his boots on the stairs I got to my feet. “Sweets you up here and before you say anything I couldn’t get her away from your dad. She fucking loves him”.
Yes, she did.
Getting to my feet I made sure my towel was secure. “I wanted her home with me Blaze and stop looking at me like that”. I sighed.
I wasn’t in the mood for sex.
“Looking at you like what?”. He smirked sliding his arm around my waist resting his hand on my ass.
“Not a chance”. Placing my hand on his chest I shoved. “Get your head out the gutter”.
“Not even a quickie?”. He squeezed my ass his other hand tugging at my towel.
“Quickies are the reason I’m like this”. I slapped away his hand. “What time are you heading out at?”.
“Already told you darling. It’ll be around 8. Jared will be here before I leave”. He was trying his hardest to get at my towel.
“Is him being here really necessary and stop that”. Hitting his hand away a laugh fell from his lips. “You’re really starting to piss me off”.
“Baby you’re standing in a towel. What do you expect me to be like?”.
Rolling my eyes I couldn’t hide my smile. “Let me get dressed and then I’ll follow you back to the clubhouse”. I wanted Everleigh home.
“Let me see your tits first”. He smirked.
Shaking my head I undid my towel at the top and flashed him. It was the quickest flash ever, the reason for his frown.
“That was shite”. He huffed. “Get dressed I’m going for a smoke”. Feeling his hand smack against my ass I jumped.
“Asshole”.
Pulling on clean underwear I stared at myself in the mirror. It wouldn’t be long until my bump would show. One thing I loved about being pregnant was having the bump. Knowing our child was growing safely inside my stomach.
Once I was dressed in jeans and a T-shirt, I ran a brush through my hair and grabbed my leather jacket. I couldn’t wait to see my baby’s face. Leaving the room I made my way downstairs; Blaze was in the kitchen smoking a cigarette with the back door open.
“Damn baby. How’d I get so lucky?”.
Rolling my eyes I grabbed my bag putting it over my shoulder. “Do you think my mom’s gave Everleigh her dinner? I was thinking of getting her a McDonald’s as a little treat”. The McDonald’s being more for me. I wanted pickles. I couldn’t stop thinking about them.
“Aye darling. Knowing your old man she’ll be stuffing her face with candy”.
My dad spoiled her rotten. Whatever she wanted she got. Anything she asked for she got, bear in mind she’s three. Maybe because he missed so much with me, he was trying to get the time back through Everleigh.
“He’s always buying her something”. I sighed. “Can we go. I’m dying to see her”.
“Give me a kiss first”. He smirked closing the gap between us. His arms circled my waist, his hands resting on the lower of my back. Our eyes connected; I couldn’t look away.
He was my Blaze. He was everything I needed. Sliding my hands up his chest I wrapped my arms around his neck. “I’m sorry I didn’t trust you enough to know you didn’t cheat”.
“That shits done with Ava. You know now I’d never do anything to risk what we have. I lost you once, missed three years of my daughter’s life and I’ve no one to blame but myself. It almost killed me, but I thought I was doing the right thing. I can’t live without you darling”. Brushing his nose against mine my eyes closed as he kissed me.
I had to tell him about Nate, I just didn’t know how.
Pulling back, I bit my bottom lip. “God you’re beautiful”. Dipping his hand into his inside pocket he pulled out my ring.
He didn’t even have to ask. Giving him my hand he put it back where it belonged. “It doesn’t come off again Ava”.
“It won’t”.
I had to stop for gas, my red light was on and every time I turned the ignition it beeped at me. Signaling into the gas station he was on my tail pulling up beside me.
“I’ll fill up you pay”.
Getting out I grabbed my purse. “You need anything?”. I asked as the black SUV pulled in behind me.
My stomach dropped.
“Go pay for the gas Ava”. Blaze was aware of why I was hesitant. We both knew who that car belonged to. My eyes locked with Shane’s, his driver. Once he got out and started filling up, I relaxed a little. Nate wasn’t there. He gave me a nod before looking away.
“The fuck is he looking at?”.
“Blaze-…”.
“Go pay for the gas. I ain’t gonna do anything”. I wasn’t convinced. It didn’t help that he was always carrying.
“It’s not worth it remember”.
“Get in the car, I’ll pay”. Getting back in my car I locked the door. I couldn’t help but stare through my rear-view mirror.
Was Shane being here at the same time as us just a coincidence? Chewing the inside of my cheek I tapped my fingers off the steering wheel.
I didn’t like the feeling I had.
If anything happened Blaze would go back to jail, and I couldn’t handle that. I Jumped as he knocked on my window motioning for me to roll it down.
“Stay close and try not to lose me alright?”.
“Yeah”.
“Nothing to worry about darling”. The wink didn’t convince me that he wasn’t up to something, but I dismissed it and followed him back to the clubhouse.

Jared and Cage were waiting outside when we pulled into the lot. Both working on their bikes. I hope to god he wasn’t up to something. That was the last thing we needed. We didn’t need him going back to jail, he had a family to think about.
Unclipping my seatbelt, I grabbed my bag from the backseat before getting out. Ally must still be working if Cage was here without her. Poor girl never got a minute’s peace now she was pregnant. I left them to it as I made my way inside.
“Mommy”. She ran straight towards me, her little arms circling my legs. “I missed you mommy”. Lifting her into my arms I positioned her on my hip.
“I missed you too baby”. Kissing the top of her head I inhaled deeply. “Have you been good for gran and papa?”.
“She’s always good. Now give her to your mom I need to talk to you”.
“About?”. I frowned.
“Not here Ava”.
Glancing at my mom I placed Everleigh on her feet. “Go see gran, I need to go talk with papa”. Following my dad through to his office I closed the door behind me.
“You got something you wanna tell me?”. He lit a smoke before sitting in his chair. I had no idea what he was talking about.
“No”.
“The fuck is Nate sniffing around you again for?”.
“Really dad?”. I glared.
“I’ve got eyes and ears everywhere and the last thing I fucking need is Blaze out of control Ava”.
“What you getting at?”. Did he actually think something was going on between Nate and me?
“You know what I’m getting at”.
“Well, if your henchmen reported back correctly then you’d know exactly what happened”. Someone from the club must have seen us. It’s the only way he would know. Scraping my chair back I got to my feet.
“Hold on a damn minute”. He matched my movements, his chair falling to the ground. “What the fuck happened?”.
“Let’s just say I saw a different side of Nate today. He said some nasty things and well I slapped him”.
“He put hands on?”. My dad growled.
“No, he didn’t but he did make me feel a little uncomfortable”. That wasn’t a lie. I had never seen that side of Nate before.
“I’ll kill him”. My dad glared. “Fuck did he say to you?”.
“It doesn’t matter now sit down before you give yourself a heart attack”.
“I may be old darling”. He sat back in his chair finishing off his cigarette. “But I can still bury people”.
“Don’t be ridiculous, no one needs to die. I dealt with it on my own now can we just drop it?”.
“Gonna put this out there and say Blaze doesn’t know”.
“He doesn’t”. I sighed.
“Maybe best you keep it quiet just now. The last thing we need is him getting locked up”.
“Maybe you’re right”. Maybe telling him wasn’t the best idea. If he found out what Nate said to me, it was only going to end one way.
“You do what you think is best darling. You want me to pull him off the run?”. Never once has my dad asked me that. It was always he’s going regardless of what I say.
“No, it’s okay. I’m going to take Everleigh home and get settled for tonight”.
“Okay darling. You need me, you call me”.
“I know”. Leaving his office Blaze was sat with Jared and Cage. A beer in one hand and a smoke in the other. I couldn’t see Everleigh. Our eyes met a smirk playing on his lips as he winked at me.
